Bio

Hi.

I'm an Interdiscplinary BA, searching for a job in the current market, and this site has been my introduction to role-play. I prefer medieval and/or sci-fi roleplays and am a fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, RWBY, Fire Emblem Awakening, Superheroes, and Fairy Tail.

While we're waiting, maybe we can touch base on what kind of superhero we want to be and they'd work within the squad. Maybe even ask for feedback or advice?

I'm thinking of going with a psychic healer (either with telekinesis and telepathy as secondary powers or only telekinesis) named Christopher Holland, called Chris for short. He would either go mutant-style and be born with his psychic capabilities or be a lab experiment who was rescued and put into foster care services.
@Zelosse

We could use a gaming short cut and have you become disconnected to your current mission and end up reconnecting in our mission world since there's a vacancy. The GM would be a better judge of how we could get this to work.
@Zelosse

We'd figured out a plan where our tank was the one guarding the queen and princess while we scouted the castle. In that role, Luanne doesn't have to be especially subtle, just capable of handling several guys at once while signaling (somehow) for us to come and capable of not hurting/killing either of the clients out of annoyance.
I'm game.
What character model would you want us to go on? One power that could splinter into different skillsets or one basic skillset? For instance, a psychic character would either be able to use telepathy, telekinesis, and psychic healing or only be able to use psychic healing.

Gwendolyn blushed a bit at Kerylun's words. She hadn't mean that she wanted to gamble their lives, just that their food was more likely poisoned then the royals and they would have to be careful. The elf was about to say as much but then the queen and princess came in and Gwen quickly realized something. "Great. I forgot how proper manners in places like this work. That's definitely putting us in the queen's good books and make this guarding thing go easier." And by the queen's disdainful look, Gwen saw that her conjecture was correct. The princess, however, seemed more reasonable at least and someone she might even like to get to know better. Though it still was welcome news that this job might not last a week, she'd been thinking in terms of a month long assignment. Now she just needed to try to get into better grace's with the queen, especially since Shama had needed to go so suddenly. The white mage bit her lip as she got up, and turned towards the throne, and deeply curtsied with her head down.

"Forgive me, your majesty, for my unintentional offense." Gwen said. "In my lands, it was considered boorish for guests to stay standing before the host sat down, showing distrust of their host's intentions." She maintained her pose until the queen would either leave or let her rise. Her elven eyes darted around the room though, looking for any suspicious activity. If the king could really be back so soon, the imposters might decide to act now.
@Zelosse We could use her help since our former tank left who was to guard the royalty while the rest of us spied. But it seems a bit abrupt to take her out of saving the town to our parallel world.

What do you think @Fetzen?
Ginell Conlach

Location: Mess Hall

If Ginell had one thing to say about her new captain, it was that her speeches were brief and to the point. And this first request of the captian's would not be that hard for one of Ginny's persuasion to follow. The red-head glanced around the room, seeing where the fun was to be had. Then she spotted a group huddled out of ear shoot of the captain and any of the Vulcans around. Made sense, Vulcans tended to be a stickler of regulation, even if a regulation wasn't technically violated. She made her way over to see a charismatic male human shuffling the cards, a security officer by the looks of him, ensign rank.

"Come on, who's in?" he eagerly whispered, flashing a wide grin. "Perfectly according to regulation, only food and shifts at stake here. The rules only state that gambling for money isn't allowed. Come on, try your luck. Who's in?"

Ginny smiled, she had always had a fondness for cards. And she wasn't going to lose her paycheck. "Deal me in." She whispered, then sat down and kept that smile as she glanced at her hand. Now was the time for chance and bluffs.

"You're probably right, " Gwendolyn replied to Kerylun after an examination of the chairs. "I don't think these chairs can support your weight. Sorry." The elf felt bad now for having sat down so quickly before her teammates had, but it would draw too much attention if she got up now. So she answered the gargoyle's second question, "We could just taste some of their food before they eat, draw straws to see who tastes or I could just do that. Though, since the threat was about kidnapping, the royals are probably not going to be deadly poisoned, merely introduced a sleeping draught." Then she looked towards her plate, "Our food, however, might be. Killing any defenders would help ensue success. I can cure poison, but we have to realize that it was eaten first and I can't resurrect the dead if we discover too late."

It wasn't until they reached the great hall that Gwendolyn realized something, "Oh that's right. The king's gone already. Why have I've been so stupid as to forget that? Maybe I thought that the king hadn't gone on his trip yet, so... Ugh, focus on the now. Looks like we'll have to rely on plan B." Then Gwen sat down at one of the empty seats, hoping that one of the royal pair would be able to scream if were apprehended down the stairs and with her hood still up to obscure her face. If she was to successfully infiltrate the servants, she would have to be as unrecognizable as possible. And judging from the servants visible, the simplest way would be to pass herself off as a human.

The elf then glanced at the offered food and pondered, "What's the chance of this being poisoned? Always a small chance, though a deadly poison would be unlikely. Their stated purpose is to rob and kidnap and for those types, murder is usually reserved for people who severely threaten their operation, which we haven't become...yet. Sleeping potion is another matter. They would certainly get the royals that way, though they probably haven't had enough time yet to find all the major treasures. Shama said she could make a sleeping potion, maybe she would know of a way to detect and/or neutralize them." Her eyes swept the room, looking for any suspicious signs. Seeing none within whisper-hearing range, Gwen leaned towards Shama and whispered, "You said you know something about sleeping potions, right? Can you also detect them if they were inserted in food or drink?" As she waited for a response, her eyes kept flicking about the room, looking for anything that would mark someone a potential suspect.
