Bio

Hi.

I'm an Interdiscplinary BA, searching for a job in the current market, and this site has been my introduction to role-play. I prefer medieval and/or sci-fi roleplays and am a fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, RWBY, Fire Emblem Awakening, Superheroes, and Fairy Tail.

Guys we're really slacking on the OOC.

For a while we had a 20 OOC to 1 IC ratio.

Seems like this last post might help with catching back up with that ratio.

Emma is always happy with money 💰

My Frost Friday post will be a soft intro to the build up to the Gala c:
Not going lie I'm stoked with what I'm cooking in this current post and feel like I've found that sweet spot and pace for Emma now 😍

Always good to find that sweet spot.

I don't really see it as a 'skill issue's per say so much as that's the Kryptonian bio field provides a form of constant interference preventing any and all telepaths from getting in their noggins.

Huh, didn't know about this piece of lore.

I'd kinda assumed Telepathy was linked to magic and so were both weaknesses for Superman.

J'onn was an idea I had originally, but then that opens Kal up to being vulnerable to telepathy and so I didn't want to go that route either.

In J'onn's defense, he did study to be a psychologist before the whole 'getting captured and mentally broken to obey by his government' thing. So it's not like he's just an average telepath.

In all seriousness, i'd go the Animated Series route, where he gets deprogrammed by realizing that what's happening is entirely antithetical to who he is and what he believes. Yes, sending Lobo to the Phantom Zone is a bit cruel, but not against who his entire being. Possibly play to the fact that the people of Metropolis are running scared and someone is killed in the stampede, or maybe even the people getting ready to bow down to King El is the cold splash of water he needs. Play to the fact that Kal is a naturally good person at heart.

I don't care if it's cheesy, that's the shit i love Superman for.

I would definitely like this.

Otherwise, maybe have Ryan snapping at Clark and that snapping him out of it.

I appreciate the enthusiasm, @Ezekiel. But we haven't officially approved you yet.

Time to figure out how to deprogram Kal-El...

The trials of writing.

If you need help, J'onn or one of the other Martians would know something about de-programming a person's mind. Or I'm sure @King Kindred wouldn't mind having Thor shock Kal-El out of his programming, nor would @mattmanganon mind having Captain Marvel punch Kal hard enough to keep with how Captain Marvel always punches Clark once as payback for how DC sued Fawcett over Captain Marvel as 'too similar to Superman' and so caused Fawcett to go out of business and end up being bought by DC.

I agree with Sep about there sometimes being too much action. If there's any event that should just be a chill time, it'd be the Gala, unless they were attacked by an outside force.

You never really know.

Emma and Cay'an could end up having a catfight over Thor, resulting in more chaos.
Happy Wonderous Wizard Wednesday to those who celebrate.

After 14 posts, Clark has dispatched his first supervillain.

Somehow, that tracks.

I also saw that you introduced Iron Man

As a native, I've gotta cheer to see Oregon as a scene.

I am so happy to read this! And so glad @Cyrania is on board as the Co! You've been nothing short of an excellent and engaged player so far, interacting and commenting on the goings on of all the posts which I know is super appreciated across the board!

Cannot wait to see what you cook up!

Thank you!

I aspire to live up to everyone's hopes.

I am thinking that should Emma be exposed as telepath/mutant, she and J'onn could interact then.
I do like the police angle for sure also.

If anything "goes down" at the gala, J'onn seems like the type to be a big hero too.

I could certainly see that as well.

And he is certainly the type to be a big hero. I could arrange things so that he ends up being first on the scene if trouble does happen at the gala at the very least. And Emma's telepathy can help shield J'onn and Cay'an from each other, causing some dramatic irony as the two miss each other.
