Kyle was walking back to Obsidian, his left arm slightly bleeding, a heavy pack on his back. Zach was by his side watching the sides of himself and Kyle making sure nothing would sneak up on them.
"Ok....so...that was new man."They had gone out to the near edge of the city, exploring. There honestly wasnt much more in the city they could scavenge, all the stores had been picked clean and now houses were the new main thing, but it seemed there was always something new to find. Also beats showed up more often than not and exterminating them was good training. Although this trip had been...different. They had fought beats, that looked actually pretty human. But their teeth......
They had been exploring a broken down hospital, hunting a Horror Cat that had taunted them with very rude insults, when they came across the room where blood was stored. There was humanoid figure, on its knees drinking out a gigantic pool of very old blood off the ground from broken blood bags. As they got closer the figure jumped up and attacked them, moving faster than anything they had ever fought before. It had hit Kyle, scratching the ever loving shit out of his arm. Zach had hit it with a bolt of electricity but it just basically bounced off.
Kyle hit it with a beam of light, and while the skin of the man sizzled, it only barely fazed it. They had gotten lucky, as the man had charged again it had slipped from the blood on the ground that was slowly spreading around the room, which gave Kyle and Zach the opportunity they needed. Kyle had held it down while Zach pulled out the machete from their supply bag and chopped of its head which seemed to have done the trick. After collected their breaths Kyle collected some of its blood and put it in a vial they found in the hospital. He figured they could let Mabel study it, figure out what the hell that thing was.
Present time, Kyles and Zachs heads were spinning.
