1. Stats or not I like characters to have a role in the party. Strengths and weaknesses. What have they learnt and done up until now. Otherwise despite history and differences everyone ends up doing everything.

2. Problem with two is if you start the journey not knowing how to fire a bow or swing a sword, just because you get into a few scraps, a year later when you are trying to save the world, you still won't be good at firing a bow or swinging a sword.

3. Half demons! Or at least demon blood, since you mentioned they existed.

4. Tur'tan. Love the starting idea, but if this green plague is such a worry that all clans and towns have been notified, why would they send a bunch of ill-equipped untrained investigators? For one reason or another we would have to be suited to the job and also be known to or recognised by the authority of the town we are leaving.

Sorry if my input doesn't help, lol :/ I will still go along with what ever you decide :)

My Hider

Professions/background/class
Has 3 attributes just as the races do with an added bonus.

Overall influence:
This is your social grace and etiquette, ability to trade, buy and sweet talk (/lie) your way through things.

Overall knowledge: Are you a learned individual, does your character perhaps know things you didn't know he knew. The higher this is the more chance the DM will throw free information your way.

Starting equipment : Some jobs just pay better than others. This determines your available resources to begin with.

Poor= simple clothes barely adequate for variable weather conditions. 1 poor condition basic weapon or armour. One small secondary weapon or shield.
Sack with a few days rations.

I like it!
I would be interested in being a Blackborn tribesman. Lost a brother to the green plague and is now one of the warning messengers.

Some base class generalisation would be nice, rogue/combatant/magic user, sorta thing.
Even if each race had a unique style/description for them.
I would be happy to help work on them :D

Also is Magic a thing? There wasn't a stat or much mention of it.

Cake!?
The startled stranger sat up from his slumped position and examined the unexpected food with a puzzled curiosity.
His bright green vacant eyes shifted from the food to cling to the waiter as she spoke, and lingered with her a little further more after she left. Then just as he noticed the small winged intoxicated creature across the bar he was distracted by yet another waitress approaching him, this time with a drink.
His hands were a blur as he snatched up the glass as fast as physically possible. Half the liquid was thrown over his face as he ravenously gulped down the cold contents of the glass.

His glass empty he turned to the food, his first bight was a slow careful one but as soon as the taste settled on his lips he devoured the rest of the cake without a shred of etiquette or manners.

Keen, I like anything that causes a character to question his morals or choices.

Is it ok to do something wrong for the greater good? Perhaps he finds reasoning for all sorts of odd doings.

Ooh! Can I be an amateur demonologist with a good heart but some bottled hatred from a past event?
