"Hold on I'll get you unstuck."

There seemed to be offers of help all around. The confused dazed young man didn't reply, instead releasing a low painful groan. He was a shambled moaning mess of thin limbs, loose fitting rags and crude tattered leathers, all topped with a face concealing mop of thick brown messy hair.

He swayed around unbalanced even as he sat there on the floor between inside and outside. "Th-thanks" he stammered on dry breaths as he slowly gained his bearings. A hand strokes his bruised head and parts his wild hair instantly revealing a pair of the most bright vibrant curious green eyes. His eyes were undoubtably beautiful in their on right, the same could not be said about his face. His face was disfigured by deep lines of discoloured scars, more than could be politely or subtly counted. They appeared to be poorly treated, if treated at all. They cut through an eye brow and left patches in his short stubble beard bare where the hair would not regrow.

Despite being in a new place surrounded by new people he had only an initial interest in his own things. His hands ran over his pockets and belt as he pat down his items and checked them off in his head. This did not take long as clearly he did not own much but once complete it left him at ease and he released a large sigh.

"DRINK!" he calls loudly to no one in particular as he drags himself into a nearby booth. His arms still slightly shaking and his breath still returning. Despite the ordeal a wide accomplished grin had settled across his face.

Outside of the cosy confines of the taverns warmth and walls, the setting night was like any other. The rustling and jolly commotion of what took place inside slowly faded out with distance, as too did the radiating light offered from the glass windows. Amongst the silver lined star lit darkness those windows became little yellow flashy guiding beacons off hope, rest and security for the weary or lost traveller.

The heavy footsteps of one such adventurer casually trod the flat stone path leading towards the tavern, a driven man lured by such promises.

Outside the taverns almost mystical sphere of influence and atmosphere, piercing the silence was the inharmonious un-orchestrated song of the night. Crickets chirped and shrubbery rustled with no discernible timing. Occasionally an owl would hoot or some other rodent would let out a shrill cry for its territory or life.

Step by tired step the mans large worn boots and loose apparel jangled each time a foot slapped against hard stone. Slowly the tavern would take shape.

A great howl echoed out from the far distance beyond, yet only a faint whisper of its glory pierced the distance and the solid structure of the taverns timeless walls.
Insistent on being heard it called again, a short moment later another powerful call fills the air. A true silence ensues this time as nature pauses her song.

The eerie silence was almost more terrifying than what ever creature caused it, almost. But at the end of that silence was the soft audible hum of hope and safety at the stone paths end.

The footsteps became a hurried walk quickly ascending into a frantic run. Feet pounding wildly against the floor all sounds washed away beneath the growing thrumming of a panicked fast beating heart. With deep exasperated breaths his lungs drew in desperate gasps of cold air, attempting to fuel malnourished muscles that burned as though fuelled by acid. Limbs numb and sore, continued to operate beyond reason, moving on their own accord as though his life depended on it.

Finally the path came to an end, the runner didn't notice or slow.
Instead coming to an explosive halt as he crashed violently into the unforgiving wooden tavern door with a loud sudden shocking thud.

Clay grumbles to himself as he turns his back to the room and leaves without a word.

@timelord1101@Mimic

Clay didn't like this, the way this man stared at him, the way he spoke, the way he moved, and it wasn't just his slight jealousy that had him on edge. It unnerved something instinctual in him.
Clay lived in a life where every interaction was a struggle for power, one way or another. Be it intimidation, leverage, hidden cards or whatever, everyone was part of the pecking order and had their place in the food chain wether they liked it or not.
The art was knowing where.
Clay was an intimidating rough man, but this Zyrid man, this man stood neutral, unfazed, not intimidated by Clay at all. Nor did he try to exert his position.

Clay stood up tall, puffing out his chest letting his casual visage fall away behind Alex's back. His eyes briefly caught on her form before focusing back on Zyrid and narrowing to match the serious intent and tone of his following words.
"Zyrid hey, so let me ask you straight and get this out the way before we play introductions.
You come here to cause trouble?"
@Azereiah
This!is what's going on.
Something like that anyway.

Also not keen on this time skipping stuff. Makes it difficult when people are playing in different time zones but the same space.
I'll try catch up soon without any 'major' geographic changes.

Vallen's lesson did not falter. He spoke with the same timing and integrity from earlier. His movements now however, were based around Brunhild's attacks. In a flash he defended himself from her jet of air by quickly slipping into a defensive stand.

Finishing earth and air he met the first blow directed at his head by leaning his weight over one leg and sliding the other out wide, his hand wrapped the back of his head as his elbow pointed to the sky, this caused his forearm to cover his ear. His free hand crossed his face to rest against his cheek, open palm facing the oncoming blow, elbow strongly pointing out in front of him.
His weight was low and he met the impact like a stone, unwavering, strong and immovable.

He continues his story, his arms flow about in front of him, hovering both at the ready and as a moving distraction. He ignored the feint and as the kick came to his head he slipped under it at the last moment, rolling around the attack and moving in close to Brunhild's space.
All the whilst still speaking.

"This made the lady of the ocean jealous, she often reached out to earth but could never truly reach him. Akadi learnt the flow of push and pull as the jealous ocean fought with her. Akadi had already felt the pain of loneliness and offered to help the heavy ocean. She lifted her into the sky and guided her to all the parts of earth she could not reach. Since that day the two became friends and still often run, roll and play together."

Vallen's movements continue to be flowing and fluid, contact remains elusive. Each waving motion rolling around his opponent into the next as he sets up her attacks and makes them difficult by his own positioning.
It was almost as if he was dancing with her.

Dorian was going through the wine at an uncharacteristically fast pace when he heard his name called.

"Is he awake?"
"Is he breathing?
"
He coldly replies never looking up from his glass, the last remaining splash of his expensive wine swirled around the edges of its confinement leaving a red shadow in its wake.

Dorian looks slightly disappointed as he brings the glass to his lips and tips his head back finishing the last of his drink. He takes a moment to savour the fleeting taste before turning to the man talking to him. Before saying anything he looks him over, his eyes intently examining his outfit.

"So, why do you need me exactly?"

Suddenly, between movements Vallen nonchalantly decided to impose discipline. Almost as if magically, a solid heavy metal chamber is flung out into Lukes stomach, the trailing coiling chain instantly whips up with a twist of Vallen's wrist sending a waving arc running down its length that causes the ball to flick back down crashing onto Emi's book.

Then in a flash he snaps his arm back and the weapon comes recoiling towards him with lightning speed as he slightly lifts his shirt allowing it to wrap itself around his waist. It was almost as if it didn't even happen. He continued on the lesson paying them no more attention than before.

Vallen continue on.
"As students of mother Akadi you will learn the five paths of air. Air is not true unto itself but is the collective of all else. For what true element does not touch air?
Your journey is to become a true Teylas, balanced in the three aspects, able practitioners of the five paths."

He takes a firm well balanced stance, his joints locked and muscles tensed as he moves with solid slow purposeful strong movements. ~Air & Earth~ He talks slow with moments of silence dedicated purely to motion.

"Akadi sought to know herself, she lay upon earth and sat as still as he. There she learnt strength and patience, but it was not her. The stubbornness was lonely and therefore before she moved on she promised to forever hug her old friend in gratitude for what he taught her. "

Through steps and lowering of the stance Vallen creates a strong foundation and connection to the earth, maintaining it creates a fierce burn in the muscles around the upper leg. He seems to ever so slightly delight in their struggle.

Clay arrived at the crowded room with a small huff, leaning against the open door he casually propped himself up as he folded his arms across his wide chest. Since his fight with Tic he had cleaned himself up, his hair still damp with streaks of water.
"So who's this guy?" Clay brazenly interjects as he points to Zyrid with his jaw.

"n' I hope someone's paying for this room." he slyly adds in, Alex now his focus.

Clay was of a simple mind, he had little understanding or control over the intricacies of emotions, especially his own. His tension swelled just beneath his skin, the adrenalin of his earlier fight still a familiar memory to his veins. He looked from person to person as he scanned the room for an excuse.

Truth was, he was clueless to the current situation, of everyone there he had the furtherest understanding of what was going on or what had summoned such a congregation in one room. None of that seemed to concern him as his focus continually fell back to the interactions and distance left between Alex and the newcomer.
How many people are in the room?
