APPEARANCE         

Karliah is a young, green eyed woman with short, light blond hair. She, more often than not, wears a white tank top under a training hoody. Because of this, her body barely gets any sun, making her skin very pale, she is, however, very fit and muscular. She always has her fists wrapped in bandages as she wants to be prepared for whenever a fight starts.

PERSONALITY TRAITS         

-Slow to trust others
-Not much of a talker
-Would do anything for those she cares about
-Can lose her temper if she's pushed hard enough
-Hates herself for the mistakes she made
-Takes training seriously

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION         

Karliah is an orphan, she's been one since her parents died from an accident 15 years ago. The orphanage she lived in was falling apart and in need of repairs, and the caretaker was a very abusive man towards the children. Karliah hated the caretaker and wanted to do what she could to help the other orphans.

One day, when she was 13, Karliah was walking around her town when she saw a poster for a fighting tournament. When she saw the prize money, she ran back to the orphanage with a plan, to train and work hard so that she could enter a tournament and win the prize money, that way she could fix up the orphanage. She trained for many days, scrounging up whatever she could to make training equipment out of. She did this for 3 years, and she seemed like she was ready to put herself to the test.

However, that changed one day, when the caretaker was in a very foul mood. He was spouting obscene words and his breath smelled like alcohol. He had a knife out and was threatening the kids, yelling and cursing, saying that they would never be adopted. It was getting to a point where the caretaker was mumbling about "making an example" and started pointing at one of the kids with the knife. Something in Karliah's head snapped, and she jumped at the man, slamming her fist into his jaw. What followed was what could be called a bloody beating.

Karliah ran out the orphanage doors, with blood on her hands, and kept on running. Since then, she couldn't look at herself in the mirror, she saw herself as a murderer on the run. She wants to atone for what she did in taking a life, and so she became a Nomad, keeping in mind of her one goal, to help the people she left behind.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

FIGHTING STYLE         

Karliah has absolutely no formal training and lacks finesse with her attacks. She prefers to get in close and to overpower her opponent with fast, hard hitting attacks. She tries to keep close to opponent and will not relent with her attack until her opponent is either knocked out or if they surrender.

SPECIAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES         

■   [Ki Fist]

[Karliah charges her fist with ki, allowing her to hit harder. She can also throw it out as a projectile punch. It took her weeks to perfect this move.]

■   [Machine Gun Punch]

[Karliah punches at immense speeds, to the point that her fists are nearly invisible. She sacrifices power for speed, so the punches don't hit as hard.]

■   [Full Guard]

[Focusing her ki into one spot, Karliah crosses her arms and forms a barrier in front of her, blocking all frontal attacks.]

■   [Reflect Punch]

[Karliah puts up a stance. If her opponent attacks, she proceeds to parry the attack and strike her opponent in the chest. This is only effective against physical strikes.]

■   [Repulse]

[Focusing her ki around her, Karliah releases a shockwave that blasts everything around her away.]

SUPER MOVES         

■   [Berserker Rush]

[When under extreme emotional or physical stress, Karliah focuses all of her ki into her body. She loses all sense and relentlessly attacks her opponent, hitting hard and fast, before attempting to slam her opponent into the ground.]

■   [Earthquake Fist]

[Focusing her ki into her fist, Karliah slams the ground, causing the earth around her to erupt around her.]

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS         

Karliah is mostly a, close quarters fighter. Anyone who can outrange her or outrun her can easily keep away and wear her stamina out. Karliah is also prone to outbursts of rage when under extreme stress, causing her to lose sense of the fight. This makes her more predictable, and easier to outwit.

OTHER

Karliah has taken to meditation, as a means of keeping calm. She also has a big sweet tooth, and always has a bag of sweets in her pocket.

@Darkmoon Angel alright, so I've gotten around to reading her and so far I haven't seen anything that seems so bad. The backstory is ok as far as I concerned and she seems a bit too normal from what I'm looking at... like amongst her other soon to be cast members ranging from the trio listed above to a mercenary wolfgirl who loves blowing things up to a guy who learned how to fight through beating up Walruses...

Regardless, nothing really wrong with her appearing that way, makes her stand out a lot more when you compare em' to the others, but I digress.

Fighting style makes a lot of sense based on how she learned it while she grew up, and nothing really bothers me a lot, save for one of the moves. While there isn't really nothing wrong with this one, I question why she actually has the move [Repulse]. She's a close range fighter, but she's knocking them away from her. Just something I noticed that doesn't make any sense to me, at least for the moment. If you could, would you explain the reasoning behind why if you have any?

[Repulse] is a defensive move like [Full Guard], but it can also be used offensively. Like, say if the opponent is pressuring her, [Repulse] can be used to knock the opponent off balance, allowing Karliah to turn the tables. I meant to make Karliah "normal" in terms of this rp. I feel it gives her kind of an underdog appearance.
