Unrest is actually used as a method by God to keep us from doing things we shouldn't. More accurately, a feeling of great apprehension or unrest is a clear call to seek God about a decision. No, that believing that feelings you have are god speaking to you. The gist of what they said is that the serpent, as an animal, believed that instincts and feelings that happen within the moment or in reaction to something are god's way of commanding them. It then convinced Eve that this is true for humans as well, so she went with her feelings of wanting to eat the fruit in the belief that it was still following god's will even though he'd told her not to.
So basically their interpretation is that we shouldn't consider feelings to be messages or guidance from god, because we're above animals and that's how god communes his will to animals, not humans. Humans are to be stronger than their feelings.

So obviously that interpretation goes against what you said a few posts back about how you're treating a feeling of unease as guidance.

I'm wording this much lighter than I expected I would. That's good.

I'm not tempted at all, actually. You're my friends, and I felt like it was an important thing to commune with you on something as important as Blitz's 18th birthday. God didn't stop me in that, but He still gives me unrest when I consider the idea of rejoining the IC. Thus, I know I cannot stay for now. I'll keep praying. It's not about what I can "handle"; it's about what God says I can do and not do. Who knows? Maybe I could handle it, or maybe it would distract me from my relationship with God. Probably not, but God has His reasons.

You made it seem like you're tempted anyway, so I don't see how sating the desire to still commune with us would be worse than wanting to join and commune and yet doing neither. It seems like a pretty equal exchange to me, so if you can handle one I don't get how you couldn't handle the other.
