People don't tend to think about rules when in disputes. Instead, just point out that whoever stops arguing first gets to see the other make a fool of themselves if they going after it all stopped.

The best part about being on the Guild this long is that nowadays, I can sit back and chuckle as the newcomers try to start a fight an instead get all the old hands ganging up on them. Popcorn for me.

Got my first covid vaccination today. I was terrified, but the staff there were very well trained and things went well.

Every few minutes playing Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, I tear up from the memories. It's not often you get a game that truly pulls at the same heartstrings as your childhood playthrough's once did.
Honestly, now that I think of it, playing an AI would be cool. :P But considering we can only play Humanoid races, I suppose that's out of the question. ;3
@datadogie Surprised I'm not the only with a Feline.
Meow meow. Felines have a lot more to sway them, in my opinion, so it makes them fun to play. Faunus have shown to have some characteristics of their mother animal, an example being Blake following a laser pen in Volume... 2? So yeah - catnip, yarn, and the funny fact that he's afraid of mice, which he should realistically want to poke.
Then again, I was tempted to do a fox at first, then remembered I had that adorable picture and was like "Yup. Cat."
@datadogie Well done on Russel, I especially like his background and personality. Consider me very curious about what the full extent of "Folding" will do, as it seems your semblance has a good deal of potential. Something tells me he would have interesting interactions with a certain lupine faunus...
Thank you! And yeah, it'll be interesting to see Russell and Kaldyr interact (if Russell doesn't squirm his way out first).
Physique: Russell stands at an absolutely amazing height of 5’2, and weight sa total of 98Ib (which is about 44.4kg).
Race: Faunus (Cat)
Team: (Leave blank atm)
Personality: Like a cat, Russell is endlessly curious in the world around him. Though timid at times, as well as generally being a shy Faunus, he always tries to think creatively and can come up with ideas that may (or may not) work. One surefire way to know that Russell is warming up to someone is that he’ll become a little more playful around them, and though trying to be friendly to those that he hasn’t met yet, he’ll stick around those that he does known a lot more than trying to meet new people. Russell is somewhat childlike in nature, and he can take negatives, either insults or bad interactions or viewings in general, very badly.
Likes: Of people, Russell is a fan of those that are friendly. Though he appreciates people attempting to help him out when he is going through rough times, he much more appreciates those people that know when they should back off and let him have some time to himself. Of items and the world, Russell enjoys greenery and the outdoors, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a fan of being indoors sometimes. He also very much enjoys cardboard boxes, and likes to see himself as adorable, just to keep himself happy.
Dislikes: As a Faunus, Russell is very much in dislike of racism against Faunus. From this, he is not just against Faunus racism but all kinds of racism, including racism against Humans. He is not a fan of people who try to put themselves above others in a negative way - criminals, dictators, even down to bullies.
Fears: Russell is afraid of insects, and terrified of spiders. Contrary to his heritage, Russell is also afraid of most small rodents, including mice and rats.
Motivation: Russell wishes to become a Huntsman as it feels that it gives him a freedom that he would not be able to have otherwise. Not just a freedom in that he can go where he pleases and have his own picking of jobs that he would stumble upon, and the freedom to be able to protect others, but also a freedom of safety and respect. Whilst the job itself is unsafe, Russell feels that being a Huntsman would allow others to look up to him and respect him for who he is and what he does, not look at him as a Faunus and an individual from Humans. He also feels that it would allow him to be personally safe, being able to learn how to protect himself and, in addition, protect others.
Brief Bio: Being born as a Faunus, it’s inevitable that Russell received some level of abuse in his life. Even Human children bullied the Faunus children, and so it was through most of early school that Russell was forced to endure the harassment that had been placed on him from his birth. This, however, gave him a purpose, gave him a view and a want to make things better between Humans and Faunus. It was very early in his life that he decided he wanted to be a Huntsman, to grow into a protector of those that were like him and suffering even worse than him.
At the same time, it was desperation. Russell wanted an out, wanted to get away from the horrors and the abuse as fast as he could. He trained as hard as he could because he wanted to be seen, wanted to be noticed and have the skills early to be able to get into Beacon Academy as fast as he could. Only when he was in Beacon, he decided, would he allow himself to slow down. His efforts, finally, were rewarded when he received a waiver; he could join Beacon Academy. An early invite to sanctuary. (empahsis on brief. a one or two paragraph rundown is more than sufficient)
Semblance: Fold - When in a position of extreme danger and potential death, Russell can turn his body completely lifeless, removing his control from it. It’s a final measure for survival, as by removing his control he removes it’s ability to project emotions and from looking alive, and in addition, Folding increases the durability of his body and can keep him alive even to physical damage taken whilst his aura is down.
There is a cost, however. The minor trouble is that it can take time for Russell to regain control of his body - whilst Folding, he is able to still able to have all of his senses apart from feeling any pain, but still needs to regain control over his body. Part of that, however, is the major flaw in Folding - when he regains control of his body again, he will instantly fall into major distress and extreme pain, as well as any additional pain that he received whilst using Fold (so, don’t drop him). Better pain for a while than living, though.
Most of us are rational humans- we can work things out.
H-Hey, is that saying that Faunus can't work things out? I think he's saying Faunus can't work things out! That we're irrational! Faunus racism! You're not including Faunus! xD
