Peter Parker | Loki Laufeyson

Peter saw that the human-raptor hybrid was preparing to pounce, seeming to target this so-called "Loki" after that man had taunted it with his talk of the "main course". However, Peter heard something behind him. Turning his head just enough to see what made that noise with his peripherals, Peter saw that a small child stood behind them, several feet away, standing before the stairs that undoubtedly went to his bedroom. When Peter turned his attention back to the man-raptor, he saw that it had diverted its attention from himself and Loki toward the little boy. It began to dash forward, intending to run past the two super-humans and pounce right on top of the child.

The child just stood there in fear, his planted in the floor. However, eerily enough, this was not the only reason why the child stood his ground. It almost seemed as if the young child recognized the man-raptor, almost as if he knew it. But as the human-raptor charged toward the child (although it had not passed either Peter or Loki just yet), the little boy released a piercing screech.

"NO DADDY, NO!"

What the child just said unnerved Peter. Was that creature really that boy's father? Does that mean that that creature had just consumed his own wife? Peter began to feel sick to his stomach just by thinking about these thoughts.

Peter thrust out his arm, compressing the trigger on his palm with his two middle fingers. Fortunately for him, Peter's web-shooters did not jam up on his this time, although the web fluid did not come out as uniformly as usual, Nevertheless, the webbing struck the human-raptor in the side of the leg, causing it to slow down a little. However, even with this hindrance, it still tried to make its way to the little child.

It was unclear if the Raptor man had been so dedicated to ripping into the young, defenseless child that he was blind to everything else around him or if there were other factors in play; Either way, the Raptor wouldn't see the blow to the side of its head from the man that called himself 'Loki' until it was far to late too stop it. While the exchange was little more then a hit and withdraw attack, Peter had fought enough ordinary people (mostly thugs and criminals) and superhumans in the past to tell when the person throwing the punch had more then a few pumping iron sessions at the gym behind their blows.

Well, on the plus side the human-raptor would have less teeth to worry about.

Once the human-raptor had recovered from Loki's blow, he redirected his attention towards the green-clad man who had just attacked him. However, when he tried to pounce on the man called 'Loki', aiming his sharp claws for Loki's flesh, Peter anticipated the hybrid's actions, latching onto the man's tail. When hew as airborne, Peter yanked back on the tail, causing the human-raptor hybrid to crash into the wall beside him. While this did prevent Loki from being harmed, unfortunately Peter's action also made the hybrid to focus his attention on Peter.

The human-raptor launched a fury attack against Peter, throwing its claws against him. However, used his agility and nimbleness to duck and dodge his foe's attacks. Once he saw an opening in the human-raptor's defenses, Peter triggered his webshooters and covered the hybrid's face with webs. While the human-raptor was incapacitated by the webbing that covered his face, Peter thought it was time for the two of them to regroup.

"It probably is a good idea to get that kid as far away from his 'father' as soon as possible."

As the human-raptor struggled with removing the webbing from its face, Peter would see Loki rush up to the struggling abomination wrap his arm around its neck in a headlock before planting a foot in the back of one of its knees before putting enough weight on the joint to prevent the beast from having secure footing. "Sounds like a plan Spider Man. Take the kid and get him out of here!"

"Don't have to tell me twice!" Peter leaped over to the child, scooped him up into his arms, and swung out of the house. Outside, a squad car had just pulled up to the house. Seeing the police, Peter placed the kid on the ground allowing him to run over to the safety of the police. However, when he turned to return back into the house, he heard one of the police officers shout at him.

"FREEZE! DON'T MOVE!"

"Okay." Peter rolled his eyes under his mask. Even though the tone of his voice might have revealed it, the lenses on his mask concealed his facial expression, which probably would have irritated the officer even more. "I'll just stay out here while you two handle the dinosaur superhuman that is inside that house." After a few moments, the officer lowered his weapon, signaling that Peter was free to go. Once Peter had swung back into the residential building, one of the officers rushed back to the squad car and radio'd a message back to the Dispatch.

"Dispatch, we have a code SH3. Repeat a code SH3. Backup requested."
Loki-Spidey post should be up soon. Just need to finish proofreading.
Marius
"COME A' ME YE' DAMN'D PRANCIN' NINNIES!"

Marius turned his head toward the drunken taunt, knowing well who had uttered those words. When he saw that there was a broken bottle, which no doubt use to contain some kind of alcohol, Marius was dismayed that his comrade-in-arms had turned to such a substance while fighting on the battlefield! While it seemed like Jerod was handling himself, in spite of his intoxication, Marius still felted worried, especially now that his right flank was protected by a drunk swordsman.

While he was occupied by his ally’s intoxication, an ax-wielding warrior lunged forward at Marius. Bucephalus side stepped the warriors attack, allowing its rider to turn his attention back to the fight at hand. Putting his spear aside, Marius drew his sword, knowing well that his opponent would have an advantage against him if he had still used the lance. With one swift swoop, Marius struck down the ax-warrior, spilling his blood onto the battlefield.

Suddenly, Marius felt a sharp pain in his side. Peering to his left, Marius saw a spearman shoving his spear point into his body. Over on the horizon, Marius could discern the spearwoman, who was supposed to protect his left flank, dashing over to Jacob, who was helping out three newcomers on the battlefield. What does she not understand about protecting his flank? That’s why you don’t allow children onto the battlefield.

Marius brought down his sword against the shaft of the warrior’s spear, lopping off the portion of the weapon that was lodged into his side. Then, with just as much swiftness as he had used against the last soldier, Marius lashed out at the spearman, making him tumble to his knees as the bronze blade. Once his second foe was dispatched, Marius turned back to his companions who held the rear of their position.

“Medic!”

Abra
It was one of those days, when you are at the wrong place and at the wrong time. If Abra had went by a different road, or had departed earlier or later than she actually did, she might not even be in this mess that she has found herself stuck in. She tried to give the swordswoman the most convincing ‘I’m okay’ smile that she could muster. While part of her thought that her feigned smile was not good enough, hopefully it sent the right message.

“Stay back or use your hidden weapons, mage, if you have them.

Abra looked down at herself and then looked back to the several peculiar characters around her. “I really hope that was not a veiled innuendo.” Abra kept these thoughts to herself because even if the mounted healer had intended to use a double entendre, she felt that giving such a response would not give the best impression to them.

"I am still just a boy but I have misfortune of being told I have to fix all this, I know it's scary and I know you just want to run but please stay close if you run you could get captured or killed, I promise you'll all be fine." He said looking between the swords women, the healer, and the mage. "I'd give my life to keep any of you safe."

“Well, I guess I’m stuck with you all. There’s no way I’m just walk away and wander this battlefield alone. I have better odds staying alive if I go along with this sixteen year old.” Abra pulled out a red-colored tome from her traveling bag. While she did not want to use it against actual humans, if push comes to shove, she would have to act, even if she did not like it.
Seems like people might be be......... procrastinating......
(Or not I've heard that some people on the outside world actually have lives.)

Writing post right now!
seems suspicous

I think t would be unfair to allow Republica to be free land. that gives an unfair bonus to the UF, Antegria, and Impor. I know this isn't about playing fair, but nonetheless, GM decree in my opinion shouldn't aid one side or the other. I would recommend making it a wasteland passage, devoid of supply centers but simply providing a path of attack.

<Snipped quote by UltikanaRe>

Naaaaah. It ain't my fault no one claimed Republia. You'll just have to outmaneuver your bigger foes politically.

If you want, you can switch countries.

Impor and the United Federation would probably be the only players who would gain an advantage with Republia being "free" territories. Kolechia and Antegria cannot take those territories without spreading themselves out too thin (new troops come the next round, i.e. Spring). Impor and the UF can take at least one supply center while still being able to reinforce his or her own other territories. I probably 'could' take one of those supply centers, but I probably would not be able to hold onto them for long.
Sorry I have not posted yet. I just need to get a few things done first. I'll try to get a post up as soon as possible.
Sorry for my disappearance the last few days, between work (I'm a bartender and Paddy's Weekend is a nightmare) and starting my Masters course this week, just having time to sit down and write for myself has been almost impossible. Hopefully I'll be able to put up a post for Deadpool by tomorrow.

Don't worry about it. I'm also working on my Masters, so I know how busy you can be.
Yeah, always, ALWAYS use word. I learned that when I had something similar happen to me on the old board

That's why I have a word document that's over one hundred pages long (and that's only for Raptor ).
Sorry for posting my sample post in the IC. Just thought somebody has to make a post. :D

Also, not sure whether I am keeping that banner (or if only for when Hawkeye and Mockingbird are together).
