Pretty sure it's just up to each player. Coldylocks, Shaftydoodle, and I all never specified exactly what equipment was available past describing their attire. The assumption is that you're free to loot the corpses as you see fit, although it clearly means you have no eye for fashion if you wear bonemold, weirdos.
