Current I think I'm Advanced+ level and could do that. But under Adv, I feel compelled to write a certain way and it makes writing feel more like a chore even if it's just in my head. Thus, I prefer Casual

Many people equate "Advanced" to "Big, high effort posts with lots of flowery language." It's a habitual thought I struggle to shake as an RPer with 20+ years of writing experience. It's very draining

Aaand done. Sorry that took so long. But my post has finally been put up. xD

Also...I know you probably don't want to, but it's been almost 3 weeks since @Razael's last post and more than a week since you sent that last notification. You might want to consider just moving on. That's how your last Digimon RP died; waiting on somebody who was inactive, leading to everybody else losing interest.
Hideaki looked around him, observing the school life of the students that attended this school. He was currently standing in the hallway of a new school, one that he had found the night before while looking at maps of the city again. After all, today was one of the few chances he had to explore the town a little bit more, since he did not have any particularly difficult school work to do back at the house unlike usual. Although in all honesty, he didn't particularly mind all of the busy work he was getting. After all, he was going to be something great when he grew up, and he'd be used to putting forth a lot of effort in what he was doing. So doing a real job would seem even easier than usual. Or at least, that's what his mother would tell him, though he wasn't sure how accurate that was.

He shifted his footing and adjusted the bag that was resting on his back. He hadn't wanted to look out of place to the other students, so he'd brought his book bag with him. In it, he carried a decent amount of supplies that either his parents forced him to bring with him whenever he left the house or simply random items to give it some additional weight. It also contained a few books for him to read when he was done looking in on classrooms. As he took another look around while a kid pushed past him in a hurry to make it to his next classroom, a loud ringing sounded throughout the hallway, and the leftover kids were now quickly pushing their way through open doorways into the classrooms that they were supposed to be in. He always found it rather amusing to watch the students hanging out in front of the lockers for a while until the bell rang, which would inevitably result in them hurrying the conversation to an end and rushing to their class to avoid being tardy.

Before long, the young man found himself in an empty hallway, with every classroom door closing, likely to make it obvious when a tardy student would make his way inside. He peeked through the nearest classroom door window and saw a familiar sight. According to the list of classes posted on the doorframe, the class being taught here right now was a Statistics class. An older woman was standing near the front of the class, preparing to turn a projector on. He let out a small sigh. He had seen enough of Statistics studies to last him until law school. And so, he decided to step away from the door and see what he could do next.

As the boy moved through the hallway, he ended up passing in front of a restroom. He decided to make a quick stop here before looking for a different classroom. He stepped into the bathroom and was finished with his break quickly enough. He fastened his belt back into place and stepped up to the sink. He reached to twist the faucet and let out the water, but he was suddenly alerted by a beeping sound at his waist. He looked down and grabbed hold of the cell phone his parents had given him. He looked at the screen and noticed that he had a text message from an unknown number.

'That's...strange,' he thought. 'Nobody ever gets a hold of me through texts. They all know that they're supposed to call me....' Curious, he unlocked the phone and selected the text message icon. Stranger still, there did not seem to even be a message with the text. After all, the spot where it would usually give you a preview of the text beneath the number was completely empty. He selected the message...and then suddenly everything went black.

"Hey, you!" a voice suddenly shouted. "What d'you think you're doing, still sleeping like that? Great, of all the humans I could have gotten stuck with, I guess I must've gotten the lazy one."

Suddenly, a thud to his side jolted the human awake. Hide's eyes finally opened and he let out a low groan as he sat himself upright. He reached up and rubbed his skull with an open palm. "What...?" he murmured, looking around him to try to figure out what had just happened. "Where...?" A moment later, he was silenced by his surroundings. No longer was he in the school he had been exploring just a short while ago. Instead, he found himself in a small field...no, rather a clearing in perhaps one of the strangest forests he'd ever seen. If he had to make a snap judgment, it would be that he had somehow ended up in some kind of industrial forest, created by someone with a strange hobby and too much time on their hands.

As he began to stand up, though, the voice spoke up again.

"Geez, it's about time. C'mon already, everybody's already awake and doing stuff!"

"Huh...?" Hide murmured, looking down to find the source of the voice. At his feet, staring up at him, was a small, black creature of some kind. The appearance of the creature startled him for a moment, but he quickly recovered. "W...wait. Are you talking to me...?" he asked it.

"No, I'm talking to the OTHER human still passed out on the floor." the black creature replied. Hide had a feeling that if he could have, he would have rolled his eyes.

Hide was stunned. What was this thing? And how was it talking...? "Erm...s-sorry...?" he murmured, pushing himself back up again.

"Well whatever," the thing said. "I guess we should probably introduce ourselves or something. The name's Botamon." He then hopped in place for a moment. "And you sure are a lucky one, 'cause I'm gonna be the strongest Digimon in the world one day."

"...Erm..." Hide mumbled, clearly still not quite comfortable with talking to a weird black blob with goldenrod eyes. "H-Hideaki Saitou." he finished uncomfortably. He currently had roughly twenty questions swimming around in his mind right now, but he could voice them later. Right now, he needed to gather his bearings....

"Well c'mon, the other guys are doing stuff already, so hurry up!" With that, he immediately turned around and started bouncing forward, making his way toward where most of the action was going on, in Nadica's direction. Or at least, from what he could tell after hearing that somewhat higher-pitched squealing sound. It was too quiet for Hide to pick up, but Botamon was just able to pick it up.

Hide was still just as stunned as before. But it seemed like this strange creature, or Botamon as he called himself, seemed to know a bit more than he did. And, at least on the surface, he didn't seem to be hostile. So for now, he decided to just accept what he was looking at. After all, this little guy was definitely real. He had hit him in the side in order to wake him, if the bruise he had on his side was any indication. So he had no real reason to doubt the reality of what was going on. At least, not yet. So if he wanted to learn more, he would undoubtedly need to stay with him. After coming to this conclusion, he nodded to himself and began to step forward, following Botamon toward where Nadica was currently located. He quickly took note of the other humans and creatures that were also nearby, but decided to approach them later. Right now, he wanted to stick close to Botamon.

"Hey, what's happening over here?" Botamon suddenly called out with a particular lack of subtlety toward the girl and the Pabumon he found over there.

Hide remained silent, content with simply observing from behind for now. He always thought it was too risky to make any moves without any information, unless he was otherwise forced to.
@Alan Hawke@clanjos@Eviledd1984

So out of curiosity, are you three still around or still interested in this? I notice none of you have posted here in a week, so I'd like to know if you guys and your characters will still be here. I know Alan said he wanted to make a different character, but...
@Sekai Heheh. It's cool, I certainly understand. There's a first time for everyone. =} Also, okay that makes sense to me. And it lets the matches go pretty easily. xD

By the way, sekai, what kinds of things are in this back area? You mentioned Savior going through rooms in your post so I was just wondering what other kinds but the break room could be there.

@Avanhelsing Heheh. Alright, I'll edit Daemon into my post somehow. Though he might not be in the same room as Riley unless Savior or someone else shows up before him.
Heh. Sounds good. Do you want him to fight Firebrand?

Or does someone else want to fight instead? xD Because I certainly don't want to be taking up too much match time right off the bat.
Haha. That does seem to be the case. xD Do you want the two of us to go ahead and post in IC, Avan? I already made my post with Riley, but I can edit daemon in there too. Or if Green wants to fight you instead, we can do that.

@GreenGoat Yeah, I guess you never did get an answer, did you? Well, I think you can just go with whatever you want to do. I suppose if you're never told that nothing is wrong, then you can assume it's alright. Because nobody's CS's have really been "accepted" in the traditional sense.
Name: Riley Carlson
Alias: Werewolf
Standing: Neutral
Appearance: Has the appearance of a bipedal gray wolf. Otherwise, all human features, from muscles to limb layout, with the exception of his tail. Stands at 5'7" and possesses an athletic muscular build.
Back story: Once a normal human like everyone else, he was drugged one day and kidnapped. He would find himself in a biological lab. Through the magic of science, various victims were infused with animal DNA and would create their own beast-men (and some women). Many lost their human selves. Then, they were trained to fight for the amusement of other humans. Over time, however, Riley found his own humanity returning to him, though there was nothing he could do about his own body. Once he became as intelligent as he once was, he escaped to the surface. He then took up a profession where it would be easy to disguise his new look. By wrestling under the guise of a werewolf, people that did not know about his condition would merely assume that he got really into his part. He...has also never won a match, so he was often relegated to jobber status, which was just fine with him. After all, that meant the spotlight was on him less.
About you: Riley fights for himself to live on. He just doesn't want to seem out of place. As such, going into this road to the sun competition, he could feel like he would be somewhere he could really belong. And he could finally show what he's really capable of. He focuses on his speed and ferocity, trying not to let up on an opponent or give them a chance to breathe. He also has remarkable endurance, able to stay in a match much longer than an average wrestler, thanks to all of the feral fighting that has been done against him.
Why I should hire or rehire you: "I'm quick and all over the place. I love playing the role of the beast and will face anyone anywhere. And I like to prolong my matches...meaning I'll always put giving any adoring fans a good show...whether I end up winning or losing."
Special moves:
  • The Pounce - Perches on top off a turnbuckle and leaps forward, wrapping his arms around the target's head or chest and flips the both of them, landing on his all fours, trying to slam his opponent into the mat beneath him.
  • Howling Buster - A variation of a bulldog. Gets behind the opponent, lets out a loud howl, and lunges forward, gripping the back of their head and driving them face-first down to the ground while his own body falls onto their back.
  • CDD - The "Carlson Death Drop." His finisher of choice. A type of DDT. Drags an opponent up into the corner of the ring and props him up on top of the turnbuckle. He then steps onto the lowest rope, pulls the target into a front facelock, and then bounces off of the rope, backflips, and drives his opponent's head into ground.

Riley Carlson, or as he was more commonly known as these days, the Werewolf, was sitting impatiently in the break room in the back. He was sitting on a small seat near the back of the room, surveying anybody who was around. At the moment, though? That would be nobody. He had come to the back room to wait for some other wrestler to show themselves so that he could finally get his first match planned out. After all, most wrestlers would eventually show up here at one point or another. But no matter how long he waited, it did not seem that they were coming. It had been a long time since he had last wrestled, and that match had resulted in his own defeat. He didn't usually care whether he won or lost, but now...now he was with other weird wrestlers like himself. Now, it would be okay. Now, he could really try to win. So now, he just had to wait and find somebody to fight....

Riley raised a cup that he had been clutching up to his jaw, carefully tipping the water into his maw and down his throat. He wasn't sure if it was the canine DNA in him or something, but he had preferred simple water over any other refreshments for as long as he could remember. He then set his eyes up against the door again, waiting for anybody who might walk through. Hopefully, they would not be long.
@Avanhelsing

Heh. Yeah, I suppose he could fight just about anyone. Though I think if I had Riley fight one, I'd want to have Daemon fight the other. So I think I'd rather have Werewolf take on the Savior while Firebrand took on Chris, if I were to fight them. It'd be kinda neat to have Daemon fight somebody physically stronger than him, given his arrogance and overconfidence.
Heh. Well, I guess the best way to do that would just be to go ahead and be the next person to post. I suppose they'd probably be the most likely to get spotted by the Savior.

Although Riley might be fun to put against the Savior at some point, too. Since neither of them have won a match before, it could be kind of interesting. xD
