The only time I care about it is when it is impervious to the plot.

Or, well, that's a lie. The second time I care about it in a negative way is if someone creates a character that falls outside of the spectrum of 'male, female, androgynous' simply because they want a special snowflake character, or because they want 'representation'. If it is done to strengthen a character or otherwise make it more interesting it's fine. But I've seen it done in ways where it was basically the same as saying 'my character has heterochromia' and that's it.

It's like a fashion accessory. It's bothersome. (But that has more to do with bad writing than with gender.)

@pkken Well, I know there are at least two jonins being made right now, as well as some chunins/genins. I'd like to wait for at least one team (as well as my own hokage to be done, lol) before we can actually do something meaningful in the IC.

@BladeSS4 Since we're early on in the development of villages (most villages haven't existed that long in their current state, like, massive shinobi villages) so the beasts haven't been caught yet.

@Asura It's related more to the origin of ninjutsu (the two guys at the header of the RP, that's Indra and Asura, the sons of the Sage, remember) so it'll be less about deva and more about religion.

@Asura If it happened during the winter/wars then I'd say that Konoha would be more than willing to accept a person with a rare genetic bloodline limit. Especially if it inconveniences Kirigakure, who were enemies of Konohagakure during this time. So, if they can somehow obtain her and extract any information from her, that'd be good.

Of course they'd test her first to see where her loyalties are. If she acts suspiciously, she'd probably not get allowed into Konohagakure unless it was with escorts and stuff. (As in, she lives there, but is always imprisoned in her own house, or so).
