Does anyone have anything they wanna ask or should I hangup so we can get this show on the road?
Howlite

Clinohumite shoved her head down before she could obey the angry Tugtupite.

Alright alright. Switching it off.” she muttered.

She switched back to night vision, seeing as nobody had noticed her using it before and continued to look over at the Sodalite in the distance as Clinohumite vanished beneath the dirt. So this was one of the Crystal gems that had presumably ousted most of Homeworld from earth for thousands of years and who the vitriol spitting Tugtupite was so worried about. Considering Sodalites where linguists and negotiators she was not sure what all the fuss was about, how weak was Homeworld now that this was what they were frightened of. She had drones and a (admittedly failed) super soldier, how was someone whose purpose was data acquisition and negotiation so concerning.

She appears to be alone, why don’t you just send the robots and the fabulous warrior to capture the linguist? She does not seem to be that much of a threat.

Perhaps the crystal gems had sent her her to perform diplomacy or had simply not expected Homeworld to send forces to collect them. Either way she was interested in what the gem had to say and so was attempting to force a confrontation rather than having to sneak away with the Tugtupite before seeing what the other side might be like.

She searched further afield with the invisible rays of infrared light trying to see if she missed anyone else, briefly glimpsing a massive gem somewhere near one of the sides of the canyon. She was about to point this out when several things happened at once.

Firstly the Clinohumite arrived in a shower of dirt with a small and probably rather startled and confused Seraphinite. How the showy gem had managed to keep her immaculate appearance was beyond her, not exactly a useful skill but whoever had designed the gem had gone for flash over substance. Aesthetically she could not argue with the result but presumably such a focus had left gaps in other areas that had lead to their being discarded by Homeworld.

The second was Marnie being the first of the newborns to experience poofing as she fell from the robot. For a gem type that boosted agility as a skill this one had the athleticism of a drunk human, Howlite face-palmed as the Marnie’s gem lands in the muddy puddle her water mimicry power causes.

Returning her focus to the hulking gem that appeared to be a kind of quarts. Eisenkiesel the kindergarten helpfully supplied, notable among quartzes for their ability to summon a crystalline armor. Interestingly the Kindergarten's systems list her as one of the guards here, even right up until the end of the war, what was she still doing here. If her lip movements were any indication she was apparently muttering to herself as she walked, covered in dirt and soil as if she had just emerged. How curious, Howlite was not sure what to make of her. She kept her voice down like Clinohumite had and brought this to the attention of Tugtupite.

Tugtupite, there appears to be an red and yellow striped quarts down here as well

She pointed out into the darkness at the barely visible hulking gem.

I don’t think she is a crystal gem, no star shaped markings like on the other one
@Gutshot

homeworld are a bunch of jerks
now I just have to chose, giant robot or giant bird or something else.

also actual personality and stuff.
@Zarkun
Suggestions:
shoot him in the ass while Samus shoots his face. can't deflect shots coming from 2 different directions.

or throw the Voidwall grenade at him which, as it detonates on impact, can't be deflected.

congratulations @Gutshot, putting a link in your thread worked.
I am glad you did because this is cool as hell, though I am going to need some time to pick/make a char.

suffice to say, I am interested.
So because I am confused

as for everyone else:

Marry and Cavan are at the temple
blood-stone is at their ship

and then everyone else in the char section has not posted yet?

please correct me if I am wrong or missed someone.
Draksal obediently took note of all of this information till the signal broke up

Watch-captain, could you repeat that last, this is Kill-team Epsilon please respond.

After the attempted re-hail failed and the sacred ritual of fiddling with the frequency to check if you could get through on a different band garnered no results he gave up. The team where now approaching a large sealed door that presumably lead to the slave pens and afterwards to the two objectives. Draksal, with his brain containing larger amounts of metal that might be considered necessary, felt nothing in response to the atmosphere but the standard barely contained rage shared by all the Sons of Ferrus. While he was approaching the door Draksal unloaded the current flack missile and loaded a different one.

looks like we are on our own for now, I recommend we take the bridge first and then the shadow field generator in the following confusion the enemy will suffer at the loss of their commander

He then holstered the launcher and drew his inferno pistol burning through the locks sealing the door. These were on this side, meant to keep the slaves in, rather than keep anyone out.

The destruction of the field will be a clear indication that we have completed our mission and will allow our vessels to target this one. Doing it the other way round may not lead to there being enough time for us to get off the ship before it’s destruction. Such an event would result in the loss of the Caestus Assault Ram that we would need to use for extraction and all the powers swords our kill team is carrying

Having successfully broken the seals the pistol was holstered, then gripping the launcher in their right hand and the shotgun in the other Draksal took one power armor coated mechanical leg and booted the door down. Before the kicking leg had touched the ground he fired off the shotgun, a rolling wave of fire clearing the area just on the other side. Landing solidly with both feet on the ground he fired the missile launcher into the room. The Missile steamed inside the room and impacted the ceiling somewhere near the center with a loud crash. The Photon Flash Missile detonated like a miniature sun, blinding anyone inside who was not wearing a protective visor (like those found in the lenses of a space marine's helmet). With this done Draksal advanced into the room, letting the now empty launcher rest over his shoulder as he swept his gaze and shotgun across the room for targets.

The conversation with Hex petered out and the woman was never seen again.

Sabrina always appreciated the baked goods Melanie made, if it weren't for the fact that having vents and a body capable of surviving intense heat was considered not appropriate to polite society she would havefully modded herself like biter ages ago. Alas, for the moment she was had to deal with her complaining stomach in the morning, she was going to need the energy for the trip across town, so she took a fair few of the baked goods and, with an appreciative if rushed thanks to Melanie, headed out into the early morning commotion of Neo Babylon. She left well before pretty much everyone else, she was going to have to have a head start if she was going to make it to the meeting location on time.

Down in the depths of Neo Babylon’s complex sewer system Advents creatures traveled swiftly, flanked by 4 Seekers: floating biomechanical constructs that used to be cuttlefish. These hovering creatures were equipped with a chameleon system she had copied from one of the other research groups at Courtlandt Holdings, her power allowing replication of basically any mechanical or biological system had allowed her to copy a prototype over the course of a few weeks. Such tech had played a vital role in not being caught in her various activities but unfortunatly wasn’t good enough that her creatures could simply stroll around in broad daylight using it. In the dimly lit sewers however, the parasitically invisible seekers made sure that the rest of the group did not run into any maintenance crews or drones as they followed Advent below street level, ready to pop out to assist at a moment's notice.

About an hour and a half later a slightly out of breath Sabrina arrived at the gates of the Eni-Novel foundation on a homemade bicycle with sever large medical cases strapped to the back. She had managed, through grit, determination and subtle modifications to improve all her muscles, to navigate all the way through the nightmarish rush hour traffic unscathed and almost on time. When she arrived she was just in time to see the magic from a distance as she approached the driveway and joined the group just in time to here the explanation. Managing barely to stave off her feeling of dread and horror at what hunting nightmares actually entailed as the explanation went on. She was broken out of her oncoming panic by the calm question from Zero.

"Did you try experimenting with a camera?"

Sabrina took a deep breath, collected her thoughts and focused on keeping themselves alive through all this.

That would be useful, either we get to see what we are up against if it doesn't recognize the camera as a target/observer or we get another way of keeping ourselves safe. Maybe get a bunch of drones and feed their visual data back to some observers to keep the Nightmare at bay.

She pondered for a few moments on how to actually deal with the Nightmare.

How widespread do you think knowledge of the symbol is now? Are we going to see a pandemic of people using it or would we partially solve this problem if we could find the person who used it on Himura house? If the only way to stop all this is to kill the nightmare then baring giving the chickens some kind of deadman's switch I am currently at a loss on how to do so.
My understanding is that before we get down to xenos murdering we must first discover which marine is the biggest dick. This will be judged based upon who can ignore/belittle the plight of the slaves the hardest.

I know you all are just waiting for me to post so you can all try and one up Draskal "I replaced the part of my brain that feels empathy with a range finder" Corbite in that regard

on topic again

Is there a door between the dread corridor and the pens so I can kick it open dramatically or does the spooky corridor just sort of merge into the slave pens at some point.

either way the post on monday/tuesday will be mainly strategy discussion so look forward to that I guess?
