Adding to that, unless you are exhibiting life threatening symptoms (unable to breathe, etc) go to a rapid test site in your area than going to the ER. Local ERs are swamped and overwhelmed here.

I think if a foreigner character doesn't use -san (or other honorifics, that could be used as a characterization thing) but for Japanese raised characters, last name + honorific should be normal.

For instance, my character would be Yamata-Sensei.

Thanks for your hard work guys! I know that we get some lulls in posting the RP, but your hard work is appreciated!
The Battle Ends...

The huge Malboro reeled backward from the onslaught of attacks. Its hide was thick and tough like armor, but the collected warriors were able to make a large show of force. It opened it's mouth fully now, revealing the source of its strange behavior: a large black crystal protruded from the throat of the beast. Luna's arrow seemed to hit the crystal as its mark, shattering its pieces, and causing the malboro to groan in pain. Fire, wind, spear, and fist collided into the malboro, and then something shocking happened: the ground underneath it began to collapse, sending the beast plummeting into a large hole in the ground. As the dust of combat began to settle, a peaceful silence began to fill the forest, and the mist began to dissipate.

"Wow, look at this!" Edgar shouted, holding a shard of the black crystal in his hand. The moment he held it up, however, some strange shock of energy hit him, causing him to drop the shard and fall to the ground writhing in pain. He groaned as a wounded Balder ran over to him.

"It looks like those crystals did something to him," Balder announced, helping Edgar up and having the engineer lean against him. "Come now, it looks like the beasts have been dispersed," he noted, motioning to a shriveled up Miniboros body on the ground. It looked like by removing the malboro from the area, the miniboros were beginning to die. "Let's get back to the city. It looks like several of you need some healing treatment, and I can go about grading your performance. Balder grinned at the ground. "You all performed admirably due to the circumstances. Even a veteran hunter would be impressed by your skills."

Time passes, and the party returns to the city.

The team returned to the hunters guild, where the wounded were given treatment. Luckily, Edgar's condition did not seem to worsen. After some time to rest, Balder called the group to the meeting room.

"First, allow me to congratulate you all on an excellently performed mission. You accomplished your goal and even faced a greater threat, overcoming it. That is what true hunters are asked to do daily." He began to hand out bronze badges to the group. "From here on, you are Bronze-Ranked members of the Hunter's Guild. This badge gives you free passage through any border checkpoint. From here on, you are all regarded as agents of the Hunter's Guild." He then began to hand out coin purses to each of them. "This is your bonus for that mission. Five thousand gil for each of you, for your work in eliminating the Malboro threat."

Edgar's eyes widened. Five thousand gil!? That could pay for a month's stay at an inn! Or...it could pay for other expenses, now that he was working as a hunter. He listened to Balder, but his eye was focused on a vial on the table. "Wait, isn't that-"

"I was getting to that, but yes. Some samples of that black crystal were taken from the forest. It seems to react poorly to people, and it drives monsters berserk. We have other reports coming from different branches that more beasts like that malboro are appearing throughout the wilderness. Since you all were able to confront the beast, the Alexandria branch has decided on the missions to send you all on."

He handed the group thick contracts, one for each of them. The rank for the mission was silver. "This mission promises to be as dangerous as the malboro one. Normally we would not send beginner hunters on a mission such as this, but you've proven that you're capable of handling this task. I've recommended that your group travels north, through the border to a city named Belinus. There's a guild branch there who have been dealing with similar monsters."

"Wait, my contract says-" Ianthe spoke up, with a worried look on her face.

"Your skills are needed in transporting a sample of the crystals to a laboratory in the free cities. There's a scientist who specializes in studying forbidden magic that would like to study this sample. The rest of you, you'll travel north in the morning. Get some rest, get some supplies, and say your goodbyes around town. It may be some time before you see Alexandria again."
Are our dorm rooms one person each? Or are they shared?

They’ll be one person each, kind of like the dorms in P3

Your mind is filled with restless dreams as you sleep a deep slumber. Eventually, you find yourself in a dark forest, with the rumble of thunder in the distance. You move forward as if compelled by some otherworldly force and eventually come upon a large, blue door. It opens, and you step inside.

The room is beautifully ornate, and everything in the room is dark blue. Sitting on a velvet couch across from you, resting his hands on an old wooden desk, is a strange old man. Your attention is drawn to his long nose, bulging eyes, and wild eyebrows. Before you can ask a question, he greets you. “Welcome to the Velvet Room.”

The name of the room fits the decor. The room is lavish, and the walls are covered in ornate bookshelves, filled with tomes of various sizes. Large windows depict the darkness outside. The floor, the upholstery; everything in this room is a deep blue velvet or purple. Your attention then turns to a young woman sitting near Igor on a dark blue chaise.

“My name is Igor. I am delighted to make your acquaintance. It has been quite some time since I have welcomed a guest to this place, or should I say, guests.” You are unable to turn around and look to see if there are others nearby, but you can feel their presence. “It seems you all have an interesting destiny ahead of you.” He gestures to the room adding, “This place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter…”

In the distance, or perhaps inside your own minds, you can hear the soulful aria of a woman. Igor continues,“It is a room that only those bound by a contract may enter. It may be that such a fate awaits you.” He motions to the young woman.

“My name is Safie,” she says with a warm tone, “My job is to assist you on your journey.”

"Now, let's take a look into your future, shall we? Each reading is done with the same cards, and yet the result is always different." The man chuckles with an impish grin. "Life itself follows the same principles, does it not?" The cards in front of him begin to shuffle themselves, and he pulls his first card. "The first card, representing your present is...the moon, in the upright position. This card represents uncertainty, illusions, and disease." He moves his hand over to the next card, drawing it. "The card representing your imminent future is The Hierophant, in the reversed position. This card represents challenging conformity and unconventional relationships."

"You must seek out those who your fate is tied with to find an answer to this challenge."

"The coming year will be a turning point in all of your lives. It seems that your fate will be intertwined with this disease, and it is our duty to provide assistance to our guests to ensure you may avoid a cruel fate. We shall attend to the details at a further time. Our time together appears to be coming to an end..."

The world begins to fade into darkness, the song of the woman fading off into nothingness.

You wake up.

Weather: Clear.

Now arriving at Kenkōichi Station. This is the final stop in the Kenkōichi line. Please exit onto the platform.

The young man yawned, rubbing his eyes. How long had he been asleep on the train? It didn't matter. He was lucid enough to know that he'd arrived at his stop. He'd visited the school several times for interviews, orientation, and other things, but this was the big official move. Hiroichi Yamata reached into his jacket pocket and produced his cellphone, looking through his messages.

No new messages.

That was...normal. The last few messages had been from Principal Gokan at the Academy, explaining his duties as the boy's dormitory teacher, as well as the subjects he was expected to teach. His parents hadn't sent him a message in over six months now. He pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind and grabbed his bag as the train began to slow to a halt. Most of his belongings had been shipped to the school already; all that was left was for him to move in. The new semester would begin tomorrow, and he'd kept in constant correspondence with his fellow staff members in planning for the semester.

As he stepped out on the platform, he breathed the cool spring air. It felt different compared to Tokyo; it was quieter and more rustic. The train had felt empty compared to being packed elbow to elbow on the Ginza line. But perhaps this was what he needed. For the next year, he would be living in Kenkōichi. His job was simple: teach classes, make sure there wasn't trouble in the dorms and keep his head down. That would be easy enough.

He began walking down the steps of the train station and he saw it in the distance, looming over the rest of the city in the North. The Kenkōichi Research Hospital. It reminded him of pictures of the Ushiku Daibutsu, looming over the city in the mornings like an actual God. At least the Daibutsu depicted a God. The hospital looked more akin to a looming monolith, menacing the skyline.

For the next year you will be living in Kenkōichi City. Today, you will move into your school dorms, and tomorrow is the beginning of a new semester of school for you.
Oh shit. Probably should announce who got accepted.

Our students are:

Touka Sawajiri
Yuuhei Seiho
Hirate Laki
Naoka Toba
Caleum Grove

This gives us 3 male students, 3 female students and 1 teacher for the party. This took a good bit of deliberation, but the decision came out unanimous between Hero and me. Thanks to everyone who made a CS for the rp! I'll go ahead and throw the opening post up ASAP

Name
Yamada Hiroichi

Arcana
Moon

Age
23

Personality Traits
Hiroichi appears to his students to be professional, kind, and open young man-and that isn't a false mask. He is caring, but underneath his kind exterior is a mass of complexes. Hiroichi is constantly questioning himself, his teaching methods, and his success as a teacher to an unhealthy extent, and suffers from extreme imposter syndrome. It's due to this self-destructive mindset that he puts too much of himself in his work, and will overexert himself for his job and his students to an unhealthy extent. He keeps very few close friendships because of this, throwing himself into his work because of his belief that he's "failing his students by not being a good enough instructor." He also has a bad habit of self-deprecating jokes during class and is not the kind of guy to argue at a student if they made fun of him. To put it simply: he's a pushover in class.

Backstory
A prodigy. A brilliant boy. Born for greatness. Hiroichi spent his childhood hearing his family speak about him to others as if he was some perfect angel. Hiroichi came from a relatively poor family, and due to his natural talent and intelligence, found himself with countless opportunities for greatness. He balanced school life with helping his family, even assisting his father with his construction work. Due to part-time jobs throughout school, he rarely made connections with others his age and kept a very small group of friends. He graduated top of his class at his Tokyo High School, enrolled in Tokyo University and was considered a top candidate for medical school. Everything seemed poised for greatness until his life began to spiral out of control after an incident with another student. He would go on to change universities and his major, pursuing a crash course in education.

Due to his top marks and his recommendations from his school, he received a job offer from Kenkoichi International Academy and multiple other schools across the country. He took the position offered to him by the Kenkōichi and was assigned to be the boy's dormitory supervisor, allowing him his own personal suite in the dormitories. He spends his free time in the city, enjoying local restaurants, especially the local Udon stand. Still, he remains awkward with adults his age and tends to connect more with his students, straining his own personal life since it is inappropriate to be friends with your wards. Due to that, his time is mostly spent alone.

Gear
As an educator, he's usually keeping papers and pens in his satchel that he carries to work with him every day. When it comes to implements of destruction, he's actually quite capable of using construction equipment, such as hammers. This goes back to his youth, where he would assist his father, a construction worker, with various DIY tasks around the house.

Persona
Faust, from the legends of Dr. Faustus, the doctor who traded his soul for knowledge. Different stories tell different sides of the doctor, from portraying him as a con man and sinner to someone who wants to use his forbidden knowledge to help the world.

Persona Abilities
Faust takes the appearance of a young man wearing black robes, carrying a demonic tome in his hands. His elemental affinity is focused on curse magic, casting Eiha as well as causing panic with Pulinpa. He is also capable of increasing the defense of his allies with Rakukaja. Faust is also capable of physical abilities as well, though his main focus seems to be magic.

Alright children, as dear young Nanako likes to say:

I'm gonna put you both in time-out
Sorry but I’m gonna have to drop out of this. Been having some personal problems in addition to being busy with other things.

Sorry to hear that. Hope things get better soon!
