This is a love song for myself, for me, by me, everything it ought to be! A self-centered melody in the key of me!

Well I'm going to start work on the IC... anyone have any characters incoming?

@Auragreedia Looks good to me.

Only thing I'll say is in the IC is the Regnum Arventia is usually referred to as 'the Regnum' or 'Arventia' if people are shortening it - the name translates as 'the Kingdom of the Arvenses' who are 'the people of the fields'... lol but like I said, no need to remember that!

@InfamousGuy101@Nach all good!
@Byte

Apologies! I possibly missed it out. The differences are mainly linguistic. The idea is they come from the North but migrated South in ages past. Because the populations don't have too much contact with each other they have branched linguistically.

The Southerners are a bit more aloof from the affairs of humans. The Northerners are less so and their culture has had a huge impact on the Pellmorwyr people in the North (who are reasonably isolated from the other human cultures).

BTW if you're interested in joining the discord we can help you brainstorm ideas, though no pressure!
Is there anyone working on an app who hasn't submitted a first draft yet?
@RevNorv

Oh grand... I did actually read that as exaggerated hearsay, but thought I should check... consider Arda accepted!
@RevNorv
Like the app. What we're wondering about is what, exactly do you want Ardashir to be able to do? We just want to be sure he isn't outside of the broad power level of other characters.

@InfamousGuy101
Overall we like the app but there's a few things we aren't super keen on.

Breath of Eruherion - Eruherion is the deity. Why would they worship its breath? The Prathmava aren't supposed to be a primitive/superstitious people: they've just chosen not to settle. They come across as quite superstitious in some of what you have written, particularly around the curse (which isn't an actual curse?) though I am open to this being a particularly superstitious tribe that Jair comes from.

As for the powers of Jair's horse. It's a bit much. From a mechanical perspective I don't want the healing involved as it diminishes the role of healing characters, such as the @enmuni's character. I'm also not keen on the 'whispering storm' stuff - it looks like a Fomorian power set: those are the baddies. It also takes away from the distinctiveness of magical characters. If you stick to it being a faster, stronger, intelligent horse with a supernatural, psychic bond to Jair, that's cool.

Ginny was exhausted, staring out into the void and that shuttle. When John called that it would need to be a catch, the spacewalker groaned into her helmet, glad that her comm wasn’t active… or was it? “Maglocks aren’t working?” she asked, seeming to assume he could land on the hull. Shaking her head as the ramp opened, the ranger would take out a cord from the engineering bag. Whipping out the line, she would spin it next to her before loosing it. The strong rope would be aimed true for the assistant pilot to grab and draw her in.

Velia caught the rope as it came drifting towards her, twisting her legs into the cargo webbing at the back of the shuttle before she began hauling Ginny across towards her, "I thought you were going to jump," she commented, through a grunt of exertion. It sounded a bit like a complaint, but not made with any particular vigour as, while she was actually needing to do some manual work now, this was a much safer and more sensible way of traversing the gap.

"Wonder what's going on on the ship," she remarked as Ginny floated across the void towards them, "Hope our people are ready to move."

“Bugs.. Frak…This Is Ren. Cargo bay… whatever the hell, incoming Metacar. We have barricades but the ramp is not closed yet. Whatever your bloody planning with cutting the power, bloody well do it.” Ren put across the ships main comms channel and watched as those remained ran to find whatever they could get in the weapons locked available, even if it was a flame thrower for bio cider or something. Anything was better than nothing. There were also several native swear words, insults and a loud clunk as she looked around picking up a metal girder that made a satisfying heavy mace / bat sized to an exo suit.

...

“Warning. Cargo bay closing procedure comenacing. Keep clear of the ramp.” Came over the intercom and was joined by a sound of metal shuddering and heavy metal components breaking free from friction.

“Warning, station systems reporting non operational. System overriding safety protocols.” Came next as the seconds turned into days.

There didn't seem to be much coordination amongst the bugs. They were swarming, though without their usual laser focus. A dozen or so swarmed into the cargo bay as they sighted potential prey, clattering along the floor and ceiling with terrifying speed, mandibles clacking viciously as they approached the group of engineering bay crew.

Thankfully the civilian loading was able to proceed with a bit more order, though it was only a matter of time...
