You could've made that process easier if you asked me to help you.

That's difficult to do without a body.

*senses your energy and my voice ringso ut to your ear*

I can still see you. Idiot.

I'm not trying to hide, floating voice.
*Cools the sword in the spring, evaporating all of the water it touches*

*keeps watching, but I walk over to what loooks like a makeshift altar or shrine of some sort, looking at some items on a shelf*

*As soon as you turn away, I run to a distant spring in the blink of an eye*

Sorry, im here to monitor. If it bothers you, i can mvoe a distance, but i still have to keep an eye on you.

Insecure indeed.
*Removes the sword from the lava flow*

Still. You made a disturbance. Finish what you're doing and please leave.

It would have been a much faster process without interruptions.
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

Your arrival here did that before I came here. The animals here arent used to interaction, much less from anything not from this planet. Your very being, being present, is a disruption of peace. No offense.

The animals are going to be well cooked before they get this close to the melted rocks.
@Dynamics
Alright. I'll go with two kinds of darkness.

Spiritual - Malevolent, intangible, soul/morality corrupting darkness.

Physical - Literal darkness.

Sounds great; I think it'll be really cool to see him interact.
@Dynamics
I'd say blunt force damage. Knocks an opponent back and covers them in wisps of darkness temporarily.

@Dynamics
I could make it explode or corrupt. Or burn. If we're talking corruption then it would be spiritual darkness given shape rather than elemental darkness.

I don't have a problem with any of this. As long as his abilities are well defined (for you; you don't have to tell us all the details) then it should work great.
@Dynamics
I'll do my best (as the wiki is there to catalogue powers from different fictions).

You're the first mortal to challenge a being like myself. Don't blame me if it results in your death.

*shrugs. Forms an orb of pure darkness and launches it*

What would the orb do, practically speaking?
@Dynamics
He only gets his original glory and power back after the test. Until then he has to make do with what he has. That and I figured that it would be interesting to have him struggle against his fallen nature by choosing to use his abilities to help people, rather than kill them.

Interesting. I think that works well enough; could you give an example of an attack?
