*adjusts my arms and moves them around*
Are you going to cut off connection to these or am i goanna have to?

How would you intend to do that?
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>
Zero:
This coming from the most difficult one, here.

I'm very agreeable when you follow the plan.
<Snipped quote by Ignacious>

Zero: stupid things. Things that are stupid. Dont do them. If I have to tell you what those are, well, I suppose you'll find out.

Must you be difficult?
@Dynamics
Ok cool. Although I might just go with the High Tech approach as it fits more with the organization. Btw Cerberus and the Triumvirate are not hostile unless you try to steal or destroy the knowledge they have stored within the Athenaeum, their highly advanced base that also serves as the vault for all of the knowledge they've gathered from other dimensions.

Side Note: The Triumvirate exist on a higher plane and communicate to the current Praefectus (aka leader) of Cerberus via three black pillars located within the current Praefectus's office.

Their reasons for gathering knowledge as well as the details of the Athenaeum's layout, current location, and construction shall remain classified until further notice.

Alright, that all sounds good.

So the Philote System is kind of like a variation of Quantum Strings then, but one that's just different enough to make both incompatible with each other then?

It's more built off of raw String Theory than Quantum Strings, and has some commonalities with the philotes in Card's Ender's Game (given that they share a name), but in general, all of these and more in many forms of media are built on Einstein's String Theory.

And to answer the second question, raw philotic manipulation isn't a physical possibility because powers are built on top of philotes. Another key difference is that even if you could, (to quote the article), "rearrang[ing] living beings in ways they deem fit and alter them according to the strings that make up their existence" wouldn't match up with what philotes are because they're less like a 3D mesh that can be reformed and more like a series of highly complex knots. If you were somehow able to untie or cut a series of these knots, you wouldn't be able to retie them somewhere else because the others are already tied off and well-formed (if that's confusing, please let me know). Reality warping is absolutely a power that's possible, just not through a form of "Quantum Strings" (those would only exist in a Marvel universe or other universe that relies on them).

I think the effects that you'd want are very doable; it's just that the physical explanation for them in the article would need to be reworked. I'm also more than willing to go into any detail on the physics system that you want since it is pretty complex. I think that once it clicks, it'll be easy though.
@Dynamics
I could RP someone with Dimensional Travelling or someone who has tech or a ship that lets them travel between dimensions instead.

EDIT: Also could you tell me how the physics system works in MR? Is it based off of Quantum Foam or some other particle or force?

High tech is always doable.

The physics system is based off of a concept called Philotes. The fundamental unit of everything is called Code, but nothing really does anything with Code directly. Philotes are the layer directly on top of that, and somewhat resemble String Theory, except that philotes are somewhat influenced by conscious will. Thanks to this system, things like superpowers are physically possible. It's also worth noting that no powers deal with philotes directly because they would be on different layers, kind of like if your web browser tried to rewrite your operating system—they're built upon one another and the above can't change the below. I'm going to go ahead and dump an explanation from a while back beneath this:

The philotic system is the layer of Existence above code that makes things like powers and abilities physically possible. It's like all matter and energy is a bundle of string-like fibers wound tightly to allow matter to stick together. However, these philotes behave differently when exposed to living creatures; whenever a relationship is built between two things (an animal that eats from a certain tree every day, for instance), there becomes a thin connection, built out of strands of philotes between the two. The more they interact, the stronger the connection. This happens to a lesser extent with objects as well, but they'd have to be moved by a living creature to develop connections, as a general rule. However, philotes change when exposed to sentient beings. Now, instead of being connections created only by interacting objects, they are now influenced by will. When two people, for instance, develop a bond, the philotes connection grows stronger and wound tighter, and if you could see philotes, it would look like a thread develops between them, and then later a thick rope that connects the two regardless of where they are. A child will have a better philotic connection to a nostalgic ball he's had all his life than one that was just bought from the store yesterday. However, when dealing with beings with powers, these philotic connections (of which every living creature has massive amounts; even if they only met someone once, they likely have a small number of philotic connections already built) become extremely strong ropes that attach them to whatever they control (if they have a power based on control). Techi (who has total control over electricity), for example, would be connected to every electron around her strongly, and then the further she goes from them, the weaker the philotic thread and the less she can control them, because the information has so far to go and can get lost in the noise. Hence, why she can't manipulate an electron on the other side of Existence. But because philotes are influenced via will, when Techi wills these electrons to do something, it causes the philotic strands to change and move the electrons, almost like tugging on a rope. This is also where the general rule "the more powers you have, the less control you have over each" comes from. The System is self-correcting, so if a being has too many strong philotic connections, it becomes difficult to send signals that are strong to one power in particular. In the process, the philotes themselves are a bit "tangled" in a way, so a lot of signal gets lost in noise. Of course, because most beings don't know about this, they aren't aware of the actual process, they just know what "controlling" something is, kind of like how nobody thinks about motion vectors and gravitational pull when they walk outside. It "just sort of happens." So, because philotes make powers physically possible, beings can use them at their discretion.

Dimensions can have their own physics systems built on top of this, which is why other pieces of media exist in various dimensions. It just so happens that these underlie all of it.

TL;DR String-like things connect everything that has a relationship and are influenced by conscious will. Because of that property, beings will powers are able to use them without breaking any physical laws of reality. On top of the philote system, you have other physical things like gravity and quantum field theory and the like.
@Dynamics
Alright. Also is Quantum String Manipulation to OP for this? I was thinking about RPing as a member of a dimension travelling, secret organization of knowledge gatherers who can manipulate (to a very limited degree) Quantum Strings, who have could have possibly had encounters with your group in the past. The organization is called Cerberus and they are controlled by three higher cosmic entities (who will not be directly influencing things) known only as the Triumvirate.

EDIT: Here's a link to that power. powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Quantum_S…

I don't think the way it's described would correspond to the physics system. There's something somewhat similar in philotic paths, but there's someone who can manipulate those already.
So I haven't been (and probably won't be) posting for a while due to my phone plan running out. I'm typing this out on a PC at the place I'm taking my GED classes at btw.

Just wondering, are we still besieging that server or are we past that?

Still in the process. One node is complete and the others are under assault.

Everyone is dealing with end of term things, so don't worry about it.
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

Would not be a problem for me either way. I just pefer to have arms.

They can be convenient at times, yes.
<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

I can find a place. No problem. Even in this state. My original place is well, occupied at the moment. Would not want to be too rash in my decision just yet.

Certainly. I doubt you will need to find a location before your arms are complete. Zero is skilled at his craft.
