Though his feet splashed through pools and kicked rocks they made no sound. Instead there was a slight whispering as he progressed through the cave. If paid close attention to it sounded like Mystique. It seemed like she was talking to someone else. "The boy's no good, he thinks because he can swing a sword he can train a dragon." A deeper voice rumbled a reply, "The two are more liable to kill each other, I fear for them both" After that the voices turned into tiny whispers faint, barely audible. "Fool. Ignorant. Bullheaded. Coward."

As soon as the horses entered the tunnel voices began assailing Stacey's ears. "Another one?" one voice muttered in disgust. "Just a follower. Weak minded too. And her voice is so irritating. No one even likes her but she won't leave them alone." The voices went on and on, annoying, pesky, one of the crowd, after a while just hearing it could be daunting enough without even knowing the words.

"Gypsy!" A voice hissed in revulsion upon Ixonia entered the cave. "Thief!" another accused. "Child stealer. Traitor. Honor-less cur." The words were spat out like venom, berating her ears over and over again. She was worthless, meaningless, another stupid thieving gypsy going through the cave.

Swords clanged up ahead, the sound of heated combat. As he got further in the noises got closer and closer, until they were just around the corner. A short scream of pain echoed out eerily similar to his own, followed by a grunt of triumph but when he went further in he would find no evidence of a fight having taken place. How very odd, seconds later the sounds began repeating again, it seemed this would continue for a while. Maybe if he moved fast enough he could catch the fighters?

Alex was puzzled for a moment before he saw that the message the man had typed out. He read it quickly then said, "I'm Alex, don't worry about the hand, whatever you did fixed it real quick." Alex glanced at the meep on his shoulders, "Yeah guess I've got powers, not sure who. Only thing I can do is control blades." He demonstrated by hurling his pocket knife away and having it boomerang back. Though the blade was moving fast Alex was utterly confident it wouldn't cut him. "Which is cool but kinda vague unlike yours. You got a plan to deal bardman? Seems like going back to normal life might be pretty hard with your powers and... difficulty speaking?" He wasn't sure why he was asking. Sure Alex could offer him a place to stay but that was a short term solution, then he his hands rummaging through his pockets idly touched the card he'd swiped. "If you don't have any better ideas you can try looking here. The guy handing out these asked for people to come to the address." Alex offered. It seemed like the best idea right now for the unfortunate mute.

Vuduin take a few steps back at the Porygon's burst of celebration, emotion, and handshaking. He wasn't sure that was normal. However after a couple of seconds it had returned to its ordinary self. "Thank you, I'll spend a few minutes looking through this right now and ask if I have any questions." he said simply. Vuduin wondered what the parade would entail, would he have his own float that he stood on? It did sound fun for the brief time he would be here. Though he wasn't sure about the tournament of legends, he had no idea what to expect from the other avatars. Well, other than the gem lady who had created the jewel feathers and the man that had slashed at them, but even them he knew precious little about. Oh well, it wasn't worth worrying about. Vuduin took out a pen from one of his many pockets and began filling out the form and pocketed the other papers. This seemed like it could be fun, maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Vuduin waited patiently as the pokemon conducted its scan. Shade equally intensively examined the porygon while hidden in Vuduin's cloak, curious about a pokemon he hadn't seen before. It seemed Vuduin needed to verify his abilities by using an attack. Hm. Ominous wind might hit some other people by accident even if it was his most distinctive move. Feint Attack was effective but not very aesthetically pleasing. That made his choice rather simple, Vuduin nodded and said obligingly, "No problem I assure you. I am the avatar of Darkrai and the move I will be using is Quick Attack." Vuduin stated calmly and landed on the ground. He paused for just a moment, sensing the inner power that let him use his 'moves' and tapped into it. Like a bolt of lightning he rushed forward punching the porygon in the chest before returning to his original position several feet away, all in an instant. "I hope that was sufficient." Vuduin said politely certainly hoping so. Otherwise he'd have to ask the porygon to move to a more open space to prevent any collateral.

Vuduin ghosted his way through the crowd with ease causing startled murmurs and people pointlessly moving out his way. He sighed silently once more as he made his way to the front. Usually he wasn't for this sort of thing but with the word FREE in such large letters it was practically impossible to resist. Odd jobs didn't make much money and anytime he could penny pinch was nice. Of course he'd often considered how easy it would be for him to steal things but resolutely decided he wouldn't turn to such a malicious practice. In addition he should be out of here before the nightmares started again so it wouldn't cause any problems that way either. Of course it had sounded like a bit of fun as well

But in the end it had been shade's urging more than anything else that had made him come, he didn't know why shade had been so insistent but he certainly had been. Though Vuduin didn't have a telepathic link like he'd heard some avatars did, they had been together long enough they could make their intentions clear. He glanced at the person who'd leapt high above the crowd and landed on someone's head. How very rude. However it did bring up the idea that levitating would make his status more obvious. As such Vuduin slowly rose up from the ground, floating slightly above head level and he arrived at the welcoming committee that had tested the three fake avatars that had shown up prior.

"Where do I sign in?" he asked calmly, smiling in an attempt to set any nerves at ease. He'd been met with many varied reactions when he'd been forced into situations or accidentally used his powers, most of the time it was fear. Hopefully they didn't mistake him for a girl either, Vuduin knew that his knee-length white hair sometimes gave that impression, especially when so much of his body was covered by the black and red robes he wore. Shade peeked out beneath his cloak at all the people, Shade wasn't used to massive crowds like this and to be honest Vuduin wasn't either.

Legendary powers: Vuduin can become insubstantial allowing him to pass through solid objects and can levitate at about walking speed in any given direction. He can also see people's dreams and feed off of them to give him power, nightmares give him more. In addition he can cause people to feel drowsy, and if weak-minded cause sleep.

Appearance:

Personality: Vuduin is rather reserved, not prone to outbursts of emotions or random actions, he likes to take his time and think things through. Likewise he is friendly enough but isn't keen on making long lasting friendships. He won't actively avoid people most of the time and enjoys talking with them and other basic activites but is reluctant to form anything beyond surface level. Vuduin gets irritated by rashness and displays of ingratitude thinking such people to be fools for the most part.

Backstory: Vuduin grew up with his father as his only parent. A somewhat unusual circumstance but it never bothered Vuduin. His childhood was distinctly un-traumatic, filled with ups and downs as they often are. Vuduin took an interest in something others might consider boring, that is to say gardening. He ended up working at a small flower shop and managing his own garden in his off time. Once he found a gastly hiding inside of his watering can on a windy day. Though he knew little about training he befriended the creature through sweets and kindness and slowly began learning how to train it. A simple life and it seemed that's all it was destined to be until Vuduin was suddenly stuck down with a literally blinding headache. After several hours of laying in bed Vuduin noticed the pain was finally gone and looked around blurry-eyed. He felt different, but he wasn't sure how. Doing the first thing that came to mind he went out to check on his plants. Of course he staggered through a wall on the way over and found that he was actually about three inches above the ground. After a bit of studying he found that he'd become an avatar.

For several days he was unsure what he was an avatar of but when the town was almost in an uproar over the nightmares somehow plaguing all of them Vuduin figured it out. He explained to his dad that he was going on a trip and left, taking a few possessions, including a potted plant, and his gastly. Vuduin found out that if he stayed anywhere for much longer than a week people began having nightmares. And while Vuduin did feel strong and powerful from them he didn't want to cause pain and suffering so it became his routine to move from town to town, staying for several days before moving on. Vuduin has slowly began learning how to stop the nightmares from occurring, partly with the help of his gastly, and hopes to eventually be able to control them completely someday. Until then he continues wandering around, helping out where he can with gardening, odd jobs, or sometimes even helping deal with thugs and miscreants, as his powers let him do so easily. To his surprise he ended up starting rumors of a black robed man who traveled from city to city fighting crime. Of course the hero depicted in the rumors was twice the height of a normal man, used shadowy blades, fought crime syndicates or mafias, and could teleport. Ridiculous.
