@The Man Emperor
I mean like this

Noble Arm Rank:

Provided you do that,
Approval 2/4

Done it

One small issue, Dorn hasn't come back yet. It's only Guilliman, Vulkan, and the Lion currently.

Also the image doesn't work in my end XD
Edit done

Take note that we'll be playing as higher ranking members of the expedition, as in the ones that will regularly come to/be regularly contacted by the bridge. Being a menial in the bowels of the ship wouldn't have too many opportunities for interactions with others.

You may have noticed that I didn't add a personality section. That's because I prefer that to be developed naturally in the IC over time.
Application Form
Name:
Species: Human? Super-human? Abhuman? Kyn? (xenos can join sometime in the middle of the expedition)
Appearance: Image, along with height in feet and inches.
Role in the ship: Basically what you do as part of the expedition. Are you in charge of maintaining the engines, leading boarding actions, or what?
Notable Equipment and Augmentations: No need for a detailed list for literally everything. Just need what weapons, armor, and cybernetic enhancement your character has, if any. Make sure to describe their capabilities.
Skills: What are you good at? Are you a good shot? Great at stabbing heretics? If you're a psyker, add what psychic disciplines you specialize in.
Biography: Basically your life story. Two paragraphs minumum. It is essential that you add how they got to be part of the Rogue Trader expedition to begin with.
Additional Notes: Trivia, theme, or whatever else that isn't covered yet.

Actually really curious about that too. To my knowledge, current meta in 40k is classic "shit broke, everything is magic at this point." but with a large infusion of new tech courtesy of the Primaris releases. I would imagine that things probably haven't changed too much with tiny nuggets of higher end tech / archeotech sprinkled in that our suicidal Rogue Trader won't have access to. I can't imagine one of the primarch's being chill with sending rare gear on a suicide run.

We'd have somewhat improved weapons and armour overall. Trade with the Leagues of Votann, Cawl now basically being Fabricator General (and thus free to tinker with whatever he likes), and Vulkan's return would raise our tech level somewhat.

And yes, the Primarchs aren't lending us the really good stuff, but what we have is going to be slightly better than what's in 40k. Our marine may have a bit better power armor, the lasguns that the crew have would be at the level of hellguns/hotshots, and the ship may be armed with derivates of space dwarf weapons.

Also, for ease of discussion, I have made a discord server: discord.gg/ypM5Zy4hvu
Excellent. If another person expresses interest, then I'll put up the application sheet. I'm definitely not going to lift it from somewhere XD
Following, I'm not sure if I want to grind into 40k lore to kick off the rust but this is a very unique concept, and I'm quite curious how the rogue trader will travel without the light of the Astronomicon to guide them.

People can use short ranged warp jumps, similarly to how the Tau are able to travel in the current setting.

Yes, this sounds like a good dose of originality.

I would actually very much like to play an Astartese this time around...

Rogue traders do occasionally have space marines onboard, so yes. That works too. Though only one or two people could app as one, as it's supposedly very rare for rogue traders to have even one in their ship.

Isaak groaned as the lithe robot chimed in, reminding him to get up. How long has it been, anyway? He couldn’t quite remember; the memory erasure that the Instit… insut… ah, what was it? Instituto? Institute? Whatever it is, anyway. They removed the memories of how he and the other mutants got here to begin with, all in the name of safety. That was reasonable, he supposed, as he painfully got off from the bed and began fixing the ravaged sheets.

“Ay, Alexa,” he called out the floating spherical machine, which reminded him of those drones that Stark Industries liked to use, “Can you play, ah, the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Yes, yes, the 3 hour version. Just keep it on while I prepare for the classes eh?”

The robot nodded with its deceptively adorable big eyes… or photoreceptors? It almost looked like a pug that had sought the purity of cold steel and became one with the machine gods. Well, he had a pug once, too, but he was given away to some French person.

And so he began his morning rites.

All of that preparation took about 45 minutes. Isaak took his sweet time taking his breakfast, which was composed of some pasta and some french toast. He contemplated while he showered, though he wasn’t sure what he was pondering about to begin with. Or if he was actually thinking about something during those moments. It was most likely that he stared at the wall for no particular reason at all.

When he was more or less done, Isaak finally took a moment to comb his hair. He had grown it out somewhat, but it sometimes just obstructed his eyes when he hadn’t fixed it specifically. Sighing at himself in the mirror, Isaak combed the hair into a sideways swipe. He didn’t apply anything other than that.

Finally, Isaak donned his white hoodie. He looked more or less just an ordinary guy for his age, with the jeans and glasses… though he had boots, as if he was expecting it to rain. That, and he was holding a dragon headed cane, which he used to safely channel his mutant power.

After a few more moments, he finally strode out of the room. Sure enough, someone else was already in the hallway. A girl… what was her name again? Oh, right, Carrie?

“Good morning,” Isaak greeted, walking towards her while gesturing along the length of the hallway. “I trust we are going the right way to the classes?”
