Current Peace is a Lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, My Chains are Broken. The Force Shall Free Me.

Not really sure about the best way to solve this particular quandary, but perhaps having each contest last a shorter time before vote would result in slightly fewer entries per contest? While it is only lovely to have a flood of entries for a contest, it is harder to finish one contest with such numbers.

Alternatively, one could have each contest operate in "rounds"... Say, ten entries per round. If a theme is especially popular, you have more rounds for it, say up to three or four rounds. Perhaps top three from each should go on to "theme finale"?

Having shorter rounds might make things go faster. It's far easier to pick the best of ten than to pick the best of fifty.

Of course the above might be overly convoluted.

Part of the reason for the suggestions above, beyond the obvious of wanting to make this easier, is that we're looking forward to other contests, as we'd love to participate, but theme #1 was not something that sparked our muse.

Just out of curiosity... How long until a winner is selected? It's been sitting on the front page for quite a while now, and eager us are curious to see next theme...

We're unfortunately not musical enough to fairly judge between what are no doubt masterpieces.
You can try to asking Mahz nicely about it, @Etcetera. While the mods don't have the power, he does have such power.
@Jig, virtually all, if not truly all, of those "what are you, casual?" types, or elitist jerks as they essentially were, disappeared with the guildfall and the year of underdeveloped/unstable guild that followed it.
excellent to hear, @LiverisGood.
added to the list, @Wraithblade6.

Have you given more thoughts on tags recently, @Mahz?
yes. While it might be fun for the ones doing it, this would piss off a lot of people who get their RPs "invaded". Not to mention, they would contact the mods, who would then be asked to hide posts.

That, @NuttsnBolts, is the paradox.

Hopefully that can change somewhat when the tag system next evolves.

Thats a good sentiment, @Attis. People do most certainly get obsessed. And we've more than once gone on a headhunt to find other good images if an artist has one we liked. But its also important to remember that not all artists get paid for their work (or demand pay for it). Such artists especially deserve to get their art credited.
