We do not corrupt mortals. We teach them enlightened self-interest.

Peace is a lie. There is only passion (for cookies).
The Sith Long for war, for destruction, for chaos. Less than two days ago, they brought their war to Coruscant. We will stand against their hatred. We shall have peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
They killed thousands, they even destroyed the Jedi Temple, all due to their ignorance. Much knowledge was lost there, but we shall rediscover it, for we Jedi shall not fall to their wiles.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
They took many of our fellow Jedi prisoner. Put them on a ship that is no doubt bound for Korriban. Serene, passionless logic dictates that they will seek to turn our own against us, to make these Jedi into Sith. But they are strong, they are Jedi. They can resist the Sith, and we shall rescue them.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
Many of them have known nothing but the terrors of war. Thus they are well-prepared. Chaos is nothing compared to the harmony of Jedi working in unison. Our brethren shall find freedom.
There is no death, there is the Force.
If we are too late, they will become one with the Force. Death cannot claim true Jedi. They will be free.

The Jedi temple burned. A terrible, but undeniable truth. Countless Jedi have died, killed through the treacherous efforts of the Sith Empire. But that is not the worst . . . Some were taken captive, and the Sith plan to turn them into Sith. Some may be forever lost, but not all. Some will be saved. Intel indicates that some were transported onto a starship under the command of Darth Nyiss, an enigmatic Sith about which little is known. SIS agents claim it is called the Kaggath. If we do not save them, they will either fall to the Dark Side or die. Right now, their hope rests in our hands.
Deceit. Even as other Jedi negotiated with the Sith for peace, they struck against us. My brothers and sisters died around me. Some were warriors on leave from the front lines, others were innocents who had never harmed a soul in their lives. I know not what happened to the temple, but I have heard the Sith destroyed it. After they captured me, they drugged me. Now I find myself captive on a Sith Vessel. The Sith seek to turn me and the others with me to the Dark Side. They will not succeed. I do not know where we are, but I hope rescue is underway. But even if it is, I cannot rest. I must find a way to escape, to get the younger padawans away from the influence of the Sith.
I will remain true to the Order. I have no choice.
The Jedi temple burned. A glorious sight. Jedi beyond counting were slain, our ships wreaked havoc upon the Republic’s capital. But not all the Jedi were killed. Some were taken captive. The youngest were all sent directly to Korriban, where they would be educated properly. The older ones were transported onto Darth Nyiss’ ship, The Kaggath. There they are in the process of being educated in the ways of Sith, even as they are questioned for whatever secrets they know.
Nothing they do will let them get away. Even if they get out, chances are they will die in the desolate wastes of Tatooine before anyone manages to rescue them. Not that they will escape.

A small word of note: As you might have surmised from the above: Coruscant Sacked: Aftermath is not a new RP. It has been running for over nine months. But don’t be afraid of joining in. Just because a lot has happened, there’s nothing preventing you from joining in at this point or in the future.
Seeing how this RP (obviously) isn’t property of Disney, it is clearly not Canon, but we will still hold it to what we call “plausible canon”. You don’t see teenage masters of the seven lightsaber combat forms or Sith who can juggle dreadnaughts without breaking a sweat, but there is still considerable room for exploration without going to extremes like those.
Right now, we most of all seek experienced Jedi Knights who have recently been taken captive by the Sith Empire and sent to the Kaggath. For though there are other knights there, there are not enough to keep the younger padawans steady on the path of the Light Side. With the guidance of experienced Jedi Knights, they can perhaps remain true to the light. If you think you have what it takes, feel free to drop by the OoC and/or the IRC.
While we would like those interested to have a reasonable level of writing skill, we are not as strict as some advanced RPs. What you achieve with what you write is what matters, not how much you write. The goal is to tell a story, not to “win”. We tend to be strict on CSs, but gentler so long as you behave yourself IC (and OoC). Similarly, we do not demand that you’ve memorized wookieepedia or somesuch nonsense. It is your will to learn more if you know less that matters. If there’s lore you’re uncertain about, we’ve got players with numerous areas of expertise when it comes to lore, and they’re all willing to help.
Per a certain request, we'll expand on the above...
Raw crystals suitable for lightsabers need to be attuned by a Jedi/Sith before they are safe to put into a lightsaber. Its minute adjustments to the molecular structure, aligning it properly and attuning it to the Force. As this requires the Force, it can only be done by a force-user.
Most blaster crystals aren't even remotely close to the quality that can be attuned to use in a lightsaber. The easiest source for the prisoners for lightsaber crystals, other than getting one from the Sith, is to make them from scratch. Such creation requires that the Jedi guide the growth/forging/whatever with the Force for the crystal to be usable in a saber.
Indeed, the crystals used for blasters aren't refined enough for something as precise as a lightsaber. Without the crystal being attuned first, igniting a lightsaber will be... unfortunate.
mind you, Jedi, especially the more experienced ones, can do that themselves. Machines can't do it. But they still need raw materials of sufficient quality.
