As Kerry took Alice from Carrol, the Queen's Blade couldn't just leave her without trusting that Kerry would attend to her properly.

Alice had to live, so they could get home, and complete their mission...

...which is why the Mamono found herself outside the door of the Hornet and Mad Hatter, her Mana diminished to a point that neither would sense her eavesdropping.

”What am I going to do with you? Up and at it, you horndog queen. We need to talk.”

Carroll waited for Alice's deflection. She knew her Queen too well.

"Alternatively, we could just have sex again? A fair shake more amusing than a fussy old conversation that requires such extensive efforts to wake me, no?"

Carroll rolles her eyes. 'Typical deflection...'

”Oh, I bet you’d just absolutely love it if we did that, huh? Why fight when we can make love, right?”

"More than you think. However, I am grown, and I can multitask.

I'm listening."

'Listening? My Queen? How curious...' Carroll mused, pressing her ear to the door.

”Why do I smell Hinami on you?”

"My, my, my Queen, such a menacing tone to match such beauty, indeed. To be honest, I don't fully understand. Hinami seems to fancy certain types of Mana, and turns into quite the monster to feast on it.

I let her bite my tongue, and got her calm with a bit of spores. Alas, I did get a little more than excited, and started to... well, my frustrations aren't relieved. Carroll probably hit me."

Carroll scoffed. 'Of course, I hit you, you horny moron! I don't care if you sleep around, but public indecency is more harmful to our reputation, dumbass! Sooner you understand that appearances matter, the better off we'll be here!'

” -- I am Kerry Maros, globe-trotting badass and, currently, future mother of your child. And that means, you better treat me right. I realize that, given your nature, I can’t possibly keep you to myself. But as long as you love me and Gywn, I couldn’t care less if another woman catches your eye. Just be a part of this life we now have together. That’s all I ask…

...okay?”

'We don't need enemies here. Don't you fuck this up...' Carroll pressed a bit harder on the door.

Alice's chuckling bled through. "How rare. I'm sure I've had dalliances with the help. A maid in the night. A cook in the kitchen. A daughter or two jockeying for favour. It sounds so pathetic, spoken aloud, to be a species like me, but... a King always needs a Queen, a woman of the most import, and that's something I believe in...

I'll ask you something, in return: Will you forsake the globe, if I offer you somewhere to settle?"

Carroll swallowed a gasp, 'Was that a proposal!? How reckless! Tying yourself down to a woman you've only just met!? Of all the dumbass, reckless - surely, Kerry will have the sense to reject this!'

”A-Alice…..what the hell!?”

Carroll fist pumped, 'Yes! Smart girl!'

”We were already joined at the hip when we had sex, you beautiful bitch! I already love you! You didn’t have to do this!”

Carroll's face faulted, 'No, you stupid girl! You can't just marry someone after a single day and sex!'

"That sounds like a yes, then. It's a little faster than I planned -- "

'Faster!? It's been one goddamn day!!' Carroll raged. 'I haven't even gone that far with Eula, and I have an equally intimate connection with her! I may be just a sword, but I have feelings too, you inconsiderate, ungrateful, licentious, smug -- '

There was a sudden interruption of Alice's, "Ahn~! Fuck... me..."

Carroll pulled away from the door, steaming, now, 'Sex!? Now!? We have to uncover the mystery of the Heavenly Strike, and you pause to screw some harlot you barely know!? I should castrate you, so you can focus on the mission, you Queen of Thinking-with-your-Dick!'

Carroll nearly slammed herself into the door to hear the continuing conversation, or sexcapade, as it were now, "A husband provides for house and home. So, take all you need. We’ve plenty of time before I’m needed."

”Let’s savor every second, then.”

That was the final straw. Carroll reared back, and sent her foot into the door; the wood exploding under the monstrous punishment of the diminutive sword-woman.

"That's it you horny bastard! I'm not suffering another moment of your dalliances, so you can... just... uh... what the fuck are you doing..." Carroll asks, as she started at Alice, covered in bite marks and the Hornet responsible for it.

...this was awkward.

@Enkryption Most of your CS looks good! I just caught the name, though. The name is alright, but the title and name are separate. I apologize because the naming conventions are WEIRD in this series. I'll look at explaining it better when I'm more awake. So your character could have the name One Poisoned Rose and the title The Poisoned. Or something of the like. I suggest you keep the name One Poisoned Rose. It's very pretty! Other than that, it looks good to me!

One Wilted Rose

Name: One Wilted Rose

Title: The Canary

Pronouns: She/Her

Body Color/Eye Color/Any potential patterning: Rose once had a delightfully red coat and matches eyes with a cream colored underside. After surviving The Illness, her red coat became a sickly green and her underside darkened, while her whiskers and eyes turned a more dangerous, warning red.

Animalistic Ability: Immunization. Due to The Illness, Rose has developed hyper-aggressive antibodies that makes her more resistant to venom, poison, illness, and spider bites, allowing her to explore otherwise dangerous areas, but at the cost of a heightened metabolism.

Diet: By and large, Rose is omnivorous, preferring a diet of bugs and fruits. However, using her ability to immunize herself causes her metabolism to go into overdrive, and she becomes an obligate carnivore for a while.

What even gave your character their title: Known once as the One Shining Rose, upon falling sick and miraculously surviving, the Elder Slugcats of her pride would damn her with her new name and the cruel title she now shouldered; pushing her to the outskirt to survive on her own in fear that she could sicken them and as an early warning of any new sicknesses approaching, much like a canary set loose in a mineshaft.

What brought your character to go on a potentially deadly quest to end the sickness: Having survived The Illness herself, Rose yearns to find if her survival can ensure future Slugcats will never fall victim like she did, because they might not be so lucky.

What is your character’s greatest fear and why: Rose fears, above all things, failing to find a cure for The Illness, for that which changed her so thoroughly. Finding a cure is the only thing that gives her life meaning, and losing that...

Is there an item your character keeps with them at all times: Rose keeps a little, die-cast thimble that she once found in a board game box. It is good at trapping bugs and scooping water.

How has your character’s life been affected by the illness: In addition to changing her life, Rose has lost her pride, and is an outcast with nothing but her mission.

@Enkryption I adore her. The thimble was an absolutely adorable choice. Assuming you use this particular character, would you be comfortable with me giving her future effects from the illness? It would not be anything deadly but it would lean into the body horror elements. I cannot specify what without spoilers, though.

Additionally, I want to add more specificity to her ability. It’s not taking away anything. I just want to specify that her body would be more resistant to venoms, poisons, illness, and spider bites. These are all specific threats I have planned and I believe the specificity will help later.

I'm interest to see a CS, so I can get a general idea in my head.

Torn between a lone wolf that can harden himself spikes like a slimy porcupine or a sneaky little lady that can change her slime pattern to actively camouflage herself.

But, I wanna see exactly what works first.
