Wailing distance would be within hearing range, though the further you are away from it the less likelihood of it doing anything.

Omni beam at higher levels will be quite destructive as I’m intending it to be his life force/energy reserves. At level one however it won’t last but a handful of seconds and I’ll say it travels as fast as an arrow for now.

As for what stops it at level one, I’d go on the same principle. Wooden shield? Mostly likely no. Steel/metal shield? It’s gunna get really hot and maybe a little melty but it’ll hold.

Also if the Omnibeam is to much to work around for now I can just remove it and let it be an ability he gets as he gets stronger.

For the wailing distance, give me an effective range. Gotta make it a good fight, can't have you wiping out humans as soon as they appear.

The same with the Omnibeam. A one shot that incapacitates them is okay, but I don't want it piercing the core of the planet and causing an eruption.

Sorry for the delay, I'm acting as a caregiver some someone recently out of hospital and work peaked suddenly.

@Eviledd1984 As a level 1 character, just how many undead can O’Ner raise at once and control?
Does this control extend to independent undead?

@Tally Dor What is wailing distance for Gentle? Since this is an underground dungeon, I'd like to know how much range his omnibeam has and its duration. Is there anything that will stop it?

@N3v3rM0r3 Skjsel Darkpetal's activities seems centered around his garden, but how many thorn vines can he control at any given time? How many Flesh Amalgamations can he direct at level 1?

@TimelessParagon Cain doesn't feel like a level 1 creature, he's very powerful. A prince, even a king. And capable of raising dukes, barons...? I'm glad he's still vulnerable to religious icons and sunlight. What is his age? Are willing to tone him down more, make him a little more vulnerable, a little more having to learn so that he has something to build up to?

Nikos' eyes glanced past Carter and his smile faded as he took in the open crate. Magic was forgotten as the cold hand of fate grasped his heart.

"Where did you find all those...?" he asked faintly, dreading to hear the answer. This was the General's booze, down to the last drop. And a very unhappy general if he found all this going on...!
There is a war on, he reminded himself. If I'm lucky, I'll die before the general finds us.

Maybe the General would accept he was out-ranked, the Zeppelin stolen, there was no way he could have protected the booze..!

Maybe it was the General who fired on them, to get back his collection? But of his troops, there was no sign.

Maybe they'd make it quick, a firing squad?

But there was one dangling escape line...

"Err, coffee?" he managed, then nodded. "Aye sir, I'll bring some immediately"

The knock caught Darya by surprise. Why didn't they just press the doorbell?

Her eyebrow arched again when Violet told her to go, but she nodded.

"I'll be outside," she said, heading towards the door as it slid open to admit a man in a three-piece velvet suit and cloak, smoking of all things an actual cigar. Her face wrinkled but she strove from frowning. Apparently this ship didn't care about their passengers polluting the atmosphere for the other people aboard.

She gave him a polite nod as he swept in, then stepped past him into the corridor, taking a position to the left.

Eyeing the corridor, she wondered just what this ship had to offer someone like herself?

In the galley, Nikos pulled the lever and watched as coffee flowed from the spigot into his cup, but his mind was racing.

Magic was real.

Hot coffee poured over the rim and splashed his hand, making him flinch and cry out in pain as he splashed coffee on the urn. Putting down his cup in one of the wire holders, he went to the sink and poured cold water over his wound, stopping after a few seconds and blowing on it.

Magic was real.

The value of that dwarfed all the gold they managed to get aboard - no, of that repository where they liberated those bars from before they got shot at.

If magic was real, then what about the legends of ancient creatures, like the satyr or the siren? Were they real, as well? Or...?

His mind raced for a moment, then he grabbed his cup and took a quick sip of coffee.

It wasn't enough.

Reaching inside his coat, he grabbed his flask and poured a dram or two in. He was about to seal the flask, then shook his head and downed the rest of the liquor.

Music suddenly blared from the dining area.

"What in the world...?" Nikos demanded, downing the rest of the coffee to steel himself, then stepped past the curtain.

"What is going on here?" he demanded, then his eyes alighted on the bar.

"Ahh," he said, nodding. Others wanted a drink, too.

Yes, we'll discuss rank ups/evolutions and new abilities at the time. You'll have to ask yourself what would count as a new ability.

I'll post now and will think of an NPC when I get home.

Companion Rules

Players can bring in one NPC companion of lower rank with them, or two subservient npc animals that obey their commands.

Please submit a character sheet for companions, animals can be noted on the character's sheet.
