Earlier Rusalka mentioned the 'Lightning Returns incident'.
This is like that.
But not nearly as caustic.

It is apparently evident I have lost this battle as all my tactics have been futile...but like metal I shall never die! \m/
Marina and the Diamonds doe. -cough-

@Rusalka Pop artists still make more money than I do, though. So, even if their music is shit, I have to give them props for 'brainwashing' an entire country. Lol.
I can honestly see both sides. My boyfriend is an avid 'old music' advocate. Like... he'd love for big band to come back into play. And I'm sort of the same way, I suppose. I dunno... I just enjoy music. That's always been my stance on this. Even if it's slapped together with shitty lyrics. Doesn't mean I'm going to start listening to Rack City or other such... interesting songs, but I don't... discredit them. Someone enjoys them. -shrugs-
...Most of this is just me trying to justify the fact that I now have a 'Today's Hits' station on my pandora... >.>; Mostly because I've been in the mood for music I can dance to. So ye. My tastes change from time to time. I roll with the punches, I suppose.
@Fabricant451 *imitating Jackie Chan's Uncle* One more thing! Though I say that metal is my most cherished genre, that doesn't mean I'm a hater of all other music. I still love classical and from time to time I'll listen to punk, dubstep, EDM, industrial music, anime soundtracks, old country, jazz, classic rock, 70s-80s music, 90s gangsta rap and the blues. The only music I do revile completely however is pop. Pop is fake and ignorant. It's a popularity contest with no winner and the music is just so processed and cookie cuttered that it lacks the true soul and the captivation good music possesses. It's not born from the heartfelt emotions of an artist, but slapdashed and scraped together with shit lyrics that make no sense at all.
