Look, I got lost on the way to getting some jajangmyeon and it'd be foolish to leave now.
She's not 16. Maybe it's different or something but I was a Freshman at 15. What is age anyway but an ill defined number that leads to weird complications and lawsuits.
I made a promise and I keep them, never let them tell you that I don't do that.

She doesn't have any nicknames here in America, but back home she was often called derogatory words she'd rather not repeat. Sometimes they were clever plays on her name, but most of the time they were just 'spoiled bitch' or 'freaky girl'.

Min-seo is short and slender which might well be an envious figure especially in one rather young, with blemish-free skin to boot it seems as if Min-seo has walked out of the pages of a magazine right into the halls of BHHS. That's not terribly far off the truth, but though Min-seo is quite obviously conventionally attractive and pretty, she'd rather not let that be the main thing about her. Of course she realizes that teenagers tend to be quite drawn to the obvious and physical so it's more wishful thinking on her part that people might accept her as a person instead of deciding what she must be like based on her appearance.
To some, this makes Min-seo come off as unknowingly arrogant, given that her figure has about zero percent body fat and her long, black hair is out of a shampoo ad, and even her casual clothing - jeans, sandals, whathaveyou - manage to look as good as something out of a Fashion week spread. But then, when your life is regimented and guided, a specific body type is achievable.
Min-seo is of an average height, five-three on a good day, with a young, round face and expressive eyes. She favors a nude lipstick but sometimes goes a bit much with the eyeshadow, if only because it happens to stand out on her pale skin. She doesn't really dress down, her outfits vary from jeans and tees to minidresses to skirts. Her closet now is much less full, so typically she just wears jeans or shorts since that's what seemed to be the style in America. She hasn't slouched on her dietary habits, but she hasn't been as strict about avoiding the more tempting foods.
And yet she still manages to make jeans look fly.

Always seems to be drawing whenever she's alone, and quickly hides the sketchbook whenever someone approaches or speaks to her. Even her class notes have doodles and sketches on the margins.
Isn't fluent in English, but knows enough to get by with most things. Some words she doesn't know but is too self conscious to ask what is meant. Tricks can be played in this way and she won't know the difference.
When she eats, she takes rabbit-sized bites and covers her chewing lips with her right hand.
Gets lost easily, even with directions. More accurate to say she gets sidetracked and distracted rather easily. On a single street with the destination at the end of it, it'll still take her about an hour and a half since she'll stop and look at every store display on the way.
| | D R E A M S | |
Part of the reason she came on the exchange program was to escape the pressures of her parents. She had to even lie to them to get them to let her sign up for the exchange. She would like to find the courage to make her own choices and do what she wants to do in life, which is art. But art doesn't make money and it isn't attractive to the right man. So her dream is to be more independent and less pressured. She didn't have a voice in Korea. Maybe in America, with a language she doesn't fully understand, she'll find one.
| | L I K E S | |
Ducks and geese. She has a cartoon duck pencil topper and phone cord. American fashion and music. She finds the aggression in some of the music to be oddly comforting and she once bought and wore a shirt with the words 'BITCH' on them because it was sold at a western themed store and she had no idea what it meant. She still doesn't. She still has the shirt. Carrots. It's her favorite vegetable. She also really loves carrot cake. Manga and animation. Drawings coming to life, that sort of thing. Melodramas. One bad thing about American television is that their idea of a melodrama is child's play compared to the shows she's used to at home.
| | D I S L I K E S | |
Pork and pork products. Rainy days. She always seems to get splashed by a car running over a puddle. Salted snacks. She's a fan of sweets, as cliche as she knows that is. Coffee. She loves an iced tea though.
| | F E A R S | |
Fear of confrontation. She's so used to having things done for her that disagreeing seems like it would just cause more problems so she's convinced herself it's better not to try. She's taking steps in the right direction, though, now that an ocean separates the source of a lot of her anxieties and personal issues.

Min-seo was born in Korea, specifically in Busan though she lived in Seoul for the majority of her life, prior to the big exchange moment. Her father is the President of a massive construction company in the country and as such has his hand in a lot of dealings. This position has afforded him luxuries and wealth even if his tactics have been underhanded and morally questionable at the best of times. To say he was disappointed in Min-seo would be true; he's quite stuck in his ways and wanted an heir to the business and Min-seo, being a woman, is not fit for such a task in her father's eyes. He blames his wife, the daughter of a greasy politician, but the woman he should blame is Min-seo's actual mother.
Min-seo's father had a mistress, a well known and well-liked pop star turned actress. She was quite beautiful and at the absolute peak of her popularity, after winning major Asian cinema awards, she was found dead in her apartment. It was ruled suicide by drug overdose. Min-seo's father knows the truth. Min-seo's father was having an affair with the actress and she gave birth in secret to Min-seo. Min-seo's father assumed this was a blackmail situation until he got a phone call from her the night she took her own life; the phone call mainly consisted of her screaming "SHE'S YOURS, LOVE HER" and various epithets before abruptly hanging up. Min-seo's father had some of his board members go to the apartment where they found a sleeping baby and a corpse.
Whether it was out of guilt, love, or trying to avoid a scandal, Min-seo was accepted as Chae Joon-ho's daughter, telling the news that it was a secret pregnancy. Joon-ho was constantly reminded of the sordid affair as Min-seo grew up, but he tried to make the best of it. Unfortunately his idea of 'making the best of it' was by trying to mold Min-seo into a tool to expand both his wealth and influence. He enforced a strict schedule and life plan. Min-seo was told what to eat, how to dress, what to do, every part of her life was dictated to her. She was groomed to be a celebrity or, failing that, a dutiful housewife to a politician or someone in power. She wasn't allowed to have hobbies that were seen as 'undesirable' and her weight had to be within two pounds of the goal weight.
To say that Min-seo resented her father (and her mother for going along with it) would be a bit of an understatement. She never spoke out against her father's wishes, but she hated having no freedom or autonomy. Even in her brief run as a commercial spokeswoman, she hated it and her smiles were forced. When her father caught her drawing in a sketchbook, he made sure to burn it in the fireplace with the saying "Art doesn't matter. No one wants a frivolous woman." At school, Min-seo didn't have friends mostly because of how socially inept was brought up and because of her family. She was resented by some of her fellow students since her father had a habit of buying up land and running up prices. It only got worse when Min-seo was found sketching some BL art of two boys in her class. That was another sketchbook of hers lost.
Min-seo sunk into a bit of depression and resentment until she heard about an Exchange program to BHHS. If nothing else it would allow her to get some distance from the overbearing authority in her life. She told her parents that it was an overseas etiquette program and that "the President's child went there and he is in government now." It was a boldfaced lie but it was effective. They signed the papers without reading it and Min-seo packed her things, including a new sketchbook, and was on her way to a new country.
She has been at BHHS for two months now and still hasn't quite found her footing. But at least it seems no one in the school knows about her or her family. She lives with her host family and is really just wanting to use these four years to find a voice and some confidence. BHHS, however, might have other things in mind.

Though Min-seo is new to the country and its customs, she's not new to bright lights and glitz and glamour. She was at one time a commercial spokeswoman for Sprite and for soju in addition to some shoots for a magazine. She's not brought that up in America since they're not exactly happy memories or experiences. The ads are out there, though, and aren't hard to find.

Shauna is confident in subtle ways, from the way she walks to the way she seems so effortlessly fearless in approaching and communicating with others. Chalk it up to her theater background, but Shauna has a fierceness that matches her style, which can best be summed up as 'mid femme'. Her hair, medium length but frequently changing in cut, is light auburn in color that meshes well with her vibrant, bright green eyes. Shauna's on the taller side of the spectrum, just shy of six-one, and that height only serves to enhance her own personal sense of aesthetic. Shauna is going for a look and with her penchant for vests, slacks, long pants, and jackets she's certainly succeeded at it.
If her appearance wasn't strong enough, due to her heritage she speaks with a near constant Irish brogue. She doesn't sound like some cereal leprechaun, but the cool Celtic tilt to her speaking gives a sort of worldly vibe - and that she can turn it off for acting or turn it on for a critical flirting whisper in the ear is a testament to her love of performance.

Slips into Gaelic when nervous (rare) or frustrated (a bit more common) or even when trying to impress someone/flirt.
Has a damn near photographic memory when it comes to the written word and as such frequently quotes obscure literary quotations to pass off as her own lines of wit or love.
Uses the same coffee cup throughout the day. She'll drink the coffee throughout the morning then wash it and use it for other beverages until the day is over.
Writes exclusively in colored pen. Red for personal, green for assignments and schoolwork. Teachers kind of hate that. She also writes in cursive. Penmanship matters.

When she was a Freshman her goal was to simply get through the year without getting thrown in a locker or knocked to the ground. In sophomore year, after coming to terms with herself over summer, she strode into school with a new attitude and a goal of filling out a 'little black book'. Entering her senior year it's shocking how many names have been added into it and still how many more there are to go. Of course, that's not her goal in life, just one of her little personal school wishes - the only one yet unfilled as 'star in the lead role in a play' has been done two years in a row. If Shauna were to have any dream it would be to win a Tony award or have a one woman show - although a one woman show behind the scenes is a bad night as far as she's concerned.
Of course, with her overly familiar ways, Shauna would like someone to turn her into a one woman kind of gal, but so far none have been interesting or enticing enough.

Some might argue that Shuana has gamophobia, or fear of commitment, but that would be a gross miscalculation and misunderstanding of why Shauna has been rather adept at 'hitting it and quitting it'. She doesn't have a fear of commitment or even love, but it's not that far off to say she has a fear of inadequacy. That she won't be good enough, be it for partners or for herself, and by keeping her romantic partners at arm's length, they can't be disappointed when the night after intimacy Shauna barely remembers them.
Shauna could also do with fewer rodents in the world.
D E F I N I N G M Y P A S T
| | H I S T O R Y | |
Shauna grew up practically in the back of a motor vehicle and surrounded by people she deemed to be insane, but in a cool sort of way. Blame it on her mother, a single parent whose job involved traveling made for interesting adult figures in her formative years. It wasn't until her mother was forced to step down from her post that a normal homelife awaited, but by that point Shauna was about ready to start entering those rebellious years.
Rebellion hit Shauna a bit differently. She had been something of a quiet girl considering she didn't have many friends and swapped schools about as frequently as she swapped 'girlfriends', and found solace in books and film. THey allowed her to pretend. If there was one benefit about growing up around those who had a unique take on the performing arts, it was that she knew how to play a character...in theory.
With the stability of an actual home and parent, Shauna entered her Freshman year feeling positive, until the then-awkward, quiet, weird girl sat alone at lunch and didn't know what it meant that thoughts of the girl in algebra entered her mind at an alarming frequency. It was, as it so often was, literature that helped her. She didn't have the best connection with her mom and that sort of conversation seemed a bit too heavy for their normal interactions of "How was school?" and "Did you find a job, mother?". It wasn't until the summer after her Freshman year that Shauna had the courage to bring it up to her mother, who wound up being supportive and somewhat understanding. "Growing up around impossibly fit people had to do somethin' to yer sense of desire, right?"
Shauna entered her sophomore year basically a different person. She was confident and charming, had owned puberty rather hard, and carried herself enough to break out of the weird loner kid shell she had fostered. Of course, it helped that Shauna had, technically, a background in theater with which to facilitate this sort of character portrayal. Funny thing about a character is that it starts to become second nature if one performs it regularly.
By the time her junior year rolled around, Shauna had become who she was pretending to be a year ago: a genuine leading lady in her own right that also charmed the every loving shit out of others - particularly Freshman and Sophomores who really saw her as a cool, attractive upperclassman. And she reveled in the attention - and in so doing brought more interest to the drama department which had become her stomping grounds.
Now a senior, there are few who haven't at least heard about 'The Leading Lady Killer' if not by appearance than by reputation. And hell, word is her performance in Lady Windemere's Fan was to die for.

Dana Flynn is her mother. Dana Flynn was, at one point in time, the on-screen general manager for the AWE, which meant she was on the road with wrestlers even with her newborn child out of a desire to do well at the job. Dana was just an insurance salesman before she got scouted to be a wrestling manager who wound up upselling herself to a position of power within the organization. A credit to her tactics, if nothing else, and Shauna certainly learned much from both her mother and the roster. Just not exactly the right kind of things.

According to the physical and medical exam that seems to be a mandatory thing, Parker is four foot eight though she believes she should be able to round up to a solid five flat. Who would really know the difference? As far as anyone is concerned, Parker's height is just 'weirdly short' which is par for the course considering weird about sums up anyone who so much as spends ten seconds around Parker. On most days, Parker dresses like she got lost on her way out of middle school. Denim overalls. Brightly colored shirts of yellow and pink and baby blue with shorts that are either too short or too baggy. Stickers on her face of fruits or stars, glitter residue in her makeup, even a red hair clip to contain her frizzy blonde hair.
If someone were to use any word to describe Parker based purely on appearance, it would likely be 'childish' though she prefers to call it 'style'. She has a certain confidence about her not just in her young sense of 'style' but in how she quite literally doesn't seem to let anything bother her. It's easy for people to say they don't care what people think, but Parker exudes that from every pore and even when faced with mockery or insults she always has a smile.
It's almost hard to imagine that her mother is who she is, but then anyone who knew Parker's mother knows that Parker is more like her than they think.

The way Parker tells it, she wasn't exactly born so much as she was willed into existence by the great cosmic coincidence, and by that point in the conversation eyes are rolling and people are regretting even asking but it's not as if she's wrong, given her recollection of events. No one really remembers their birth, but Parker does remember that a hospital was not where she was born. There's people who suggest that babies remember white and smiling faces, but Parker just remembers feeling cold for the first few periods of her still brief existence.
It didn't take much for a young Parker to know that the woman who raised her and called herself mother was not her birth mother. For one thing, Parker was a pale, Caucasian blonde while her mother was, well, not. Still, Parker didn't have any trouble calling this woman mom, even if she wasn't around as often as Parker would've liked. When Parker was entering double digits, she assumed it was because her mom was ashamed of her, but after voicing these concerns in a tear-filled heart to heart, Parker learned the truth. Her mother, given the nature of her career, had commitments to keep, but she always made time for Parker. Parker's mom was determined to keep her child out of the public eye, because no child needed the paparazzi and media up their throat before they could even consent to anything.
Having an internationally famous musician as a parent can be kind of cool sometimes.
When news hit that rap star and activist Maya Lin, birthname Mackenzie, known as Kenzi Lin to peers, had a child and said child was going to be attending Beverly Hills High School, stories were swapped around about what the child might be like. Of course some were quite aware of what Kenzie was like during her time at the school, how she was a troublemaker and delinquent who once showed the entire audience of students and parents her bare top during an accident at a talent show - so some assumed her child would follow in those massive footsteps. It's been two years since the announcement and students and fans have written the news off as a hoax. Very, very few students actually know the truth. THe truth that Kenzi Lin and her former partner (messy divorce, best not to ask) adopted a baby and named her Parker.
Parker Ashford's real name is Parker Lin, but Kenzi told her to go by a different last name so she could suss out who was legit and who was just trying to befriend the child of a celebrity. Parker assumed she'd be unique in that regard, having a famous parent, but then she's not alone in that regard in the halls of BHHS. It's still a good means of finding those who like her for her rather than pretend to like her because they're a fan of her mother.
Parker isn't living in the shadow of her mother's fame. Far from it. She is very much her own person. As a child, Parker learned guitar from Kenzi and though Parker doesn't play as much anymore, she still knows how to pluck the strings; she's much more a fan of singing and being on the stage which is why she's trying to break into the performance scene, be it via music or acting. She's never acted before, but the way people tell it her entire life is one big act so how hard could it possibly be?

Parker has a good singing voice, which is why she's called The Little Siren - that and it's a callback to her mother's nickname (albeit unknowingly for the majority) which was The Siren of BHHS.
Her Mother. Kenzie Lin, now known worldwide as Maya Lin, is a rapper based out of both America and Korea. She achieved stardom on the strength of her rhymes, which dealt with the world as she saw it, her feelings of inadequacy given her heritage, and prejudices. She's become something of a known quantity with people who are fans of her style of music. Kenzi/Maya, when she isn't touring, writing, doing photo shoots, or flipping off cameras, is a known activist and icon within the LGBT community. She adopted Parker but has remained really sketchy with the circumstances of it all. Parker loves her all the same.

Since wearing designer clothing and dresses is a bit expensive (and since Hana doesn't have plans to reveal how she can afford them on 'minimum wage ticket dumping'), Hana tends to go for more casual but still cute enough to catch the eye; skirts that might be a tad too short for the high school dress code, the shirts that don't have sleeves, the shoes. Sometimes she'll wear jeans that really show off her butt but never will she wear shorts as skirts just look and feel better. During the season Hana sometimes wears her uniform pants just to get people interested in the game; it's not just the boy's sports that needs support. Functional, but flirtatious all the same.
Her skin is porcelain and she frequently wears lipstick to draw attention to her face, and considering she stands at just shy of five foot five, often that attention is aimed downwards from those taller than her. She's glad that in recent years she's really started to fill out those curves, which in her eyes only adds to the appeal that should have already been there. Hana does hate the birthmark on her arm, though, it just...it looks weird and she hates when people try and make it sound cute.
Her one bit of expensive accessory is a handbag that cost damn near five figures, but Hana passed it off by saying she saved up allowances and paychecks.

-When handling paper of any kind, looseleaf, book pages, money, whathaveyou, she always has to lick her finger before flipping through it.
-She talks through movies and not at the whispered volume either, thus making her the worst person to take to a movie.
-Whenever she laughs she might snort and then blame it on someone else. On that same note, she'll overlaugh when flirting, as she believes that to be more effective than the simple 'laugh and touch a shoulder' angle.
-Snaps her fingers like all the time. Like all the time.
-Clicks the roof of her tongue when thinking or telling a lie. Not the best poker face.

Hana's dream, which she has told approximately one person, is to do one of two things: become a published science fiction author or a writer for television/movies. No one at school really even knows Hana's more traditionally geeky side, or that her best class is an elective.

✔ Vanilla Coke. Even if she has to make it herself with flavor squirters. ✔ Science Fiction Novels. But don't tell anyone. ✔ Online role playing games. She keeps that one real close to the chest. ✔ Chorizo Burritos. Why bother with any other meat? ✔ Binge watching shows because keeping up with them week-to-week is frustrating ✔ Baseball, watching specifically or even just playing catch ✔ Sour candies

✘ Cheats, not specifically on tests but them too. ✘ People that ask her to write about their favorite fictional characters in romantic settings. She will burn those ships. ✘ Ice Cream other than vanilla. Mint chocolate chip is okay too. ✘ People that wear hooded sweatshirts. And double for the ones that never wash it. ✘ The people that come to movies alone. She is silently judging them. It's weird unless they're like real old. ✘ Pepsi. Coke is superior. She will fight you on this. ✘ Gum. Everyone is always chewing gum in school and it's gross. Ask her for gum and risk getting slapped

Cemeteries. She still holds her breath and closes her eyes whenever she happens to pass by them.
Her sister finding out about her selling drugs. The one person Hana respects and loves the most is her sister and the revelation would crush her.

Even among the socialites and would-be's in the Hills, it's hard not to hear about the Park Family. The patriarch, Lee, is a staple of the community, having turned a rundown eatery into something profitable by using freshly grown ingredients and family recipes to create what publications (and even Yelp) have called "the best Korean dining in the state". 'Kumiho' is a popular spot for those looking for high quality Korean cuisine. The matriarch, Tiffany, does work as hair stylist, once upon a time even working with wealthy and famous but now simply working at a beauty shop for vapid spoiled sorts.. But it's the Park Children that the community is far less willing to talk about.
There's the oldest, brother Ken, who dropped out of high school and spends his days getting high with his burnout buddies and thinking they're going to become the next big rap sensation. There's the older sister Abby who was expelled from high school for fighting bullies for the bullied thus being a bully herself, though she's since turned herself around by getting her GED and joining the police; now Abby maintains a friendly rapport with the district, showing up at events and priding herself on transparency, a way of making up for her troubled youth. There's the youngest, Jeremy, who is only in first grade but has a real shot at being the good Park.
But of course, there's Hana. On the surface there's nothing truly outrageous about her, not on the level of her two older siblings anyway. Sure she dresses rather...provocatively but she hasn't done anything that her parents vehemently disapprove of. That they are aware of, anyway.
Hana's childhood was spent idolizing her cool older sister, Abby, up until Abby started coming home bloody and angry after fighting some asshole or another. Abby became less cool to the young Hana and more...crazy; it only takes one instance of your idol coming into your shared bedroom covered in blood for an opinion to change. It was at this time, with Hana in middle school, that she came to the conclusion that people are never quite who you think they are; and that has applied to Hana as well.
Hana's popularity in high school has nothing to do with her looks, though they certainly don't hurt, and everything to do with why they call her Pizza Man. Having a brother that is involved in shady practices and a sister in the police gives Hana access to a variety of...party favors for her classmates. There's always some problem in high schools, and in the case of Beverly Hills High if students want to use, Hana will provide for a price. Why? At first it was a way to buy something that her allowance wouldn't cover, but she grew addicted to the popularity and status it came with, and she got to keep the moral high ground by never using herself. She could judge others for their vices while staying clean.
Of course, that she's a member of the softball team, hoping to be made captain this season, and a presence on the tennis team absolutely helps her case when it comes to popularity and acceptance from her peers and the staff. Hana presents herself as a student that BHHS can be proud of, athletic, passing grades, friendly enough, but it's always the sweetest smelling roses that have the sharpest barbs.
To an outsider looking in, someone like Hana Park seems like the absolute sweetheart. She's got a smile that is damn near infectious, a stride that exudes confidence, and a rapport with pretty much everyone she interacts with. And while that much is true on the surface, there's a little saying about wolves in sheep's clothing. Hana has a way of wrapping people around her finger because she knows what people want, what they need, and how to give it to them. It's a matter of supply and demand, she's the one to look up when it comes to supplies. Her part is played well, but the face she presents to her peers is a mask that is increasingly hard to hide behind.
Hana is a bit arrogant at times, that much is true, but she's able to back up her talk with results. She might tell someone their answer is wrong or their idea is shit but when challenged she'll accept and come back swinging. Hana's rather competitive, always having to be right even if it means refusing to admit wrong doing, and losing is never an option. She got that from her sister, whom she idolized for much of her youth. But her arrogance extends mainly to the field, where she feels it's okay to feel arrogant and rude since everyone shakes hands at the end anyway.
If there's one thing Hana cannot abide by it's people that have no chill when it comes to her distribution amongst the students. It's really only a surprise to the freshman since most of the students know that 'Pizza Man' is who you ask for if one needs something a bit heavier than simple bags of 'herbs', but people that are so obvious in their dealings and risk everything gets Hana furious.
Among her fellow jocks and team mates, Hana's seen as a rallying force. As an Ace of the Softball team as well as the striving to be the Captain, she's looked up to with respect and expectations and meeting them inbetween all the other goings-on in her life provides no small amount of stress. She's never indulged in her own product but she cannot say the temptation doesn't exist.
Hana's charms come not from the subtle gestures or the too-perfect pick up lines, but from her way with people. She treats everyone with a varying amount of like, and that makes her likable to the right crowd of people. While less outright gossipy as some of her friends and allies, Hana is no less devious and judgy, but hers is far more subtle. Getting to know people in the way that she does leaves her privy to a lot of secrets that are better left in her head or on the backburner for a rainy day.
Because of this, Hana finds it best not to trust anyone other than herself. People are liars. She's one of them. But at least she'll never lie to herself

Shortstop on the Softball Team. She put forth her name for consideration as Captain of the team and really thinks she deserves it.
On the tennis team, but softball is her main sport. She's a doubles player exclusively.
Off the record she is a top supplier of illegal substances to the school. She considers herself something of a kingpin because of that, and she deals in secrecy.

Hana is a closet geek at heart, having interests in science fiction and World of Warcraft but distances herself from those interests to maintain her position near the upper echelon. Hana writes short sci fi stories in her down time and even fanfiction under the handle 'VanillaSunrise'. All of her toons on the online games she secretly plays have 'Vanilla' in their names somewhere. She really likes vanilla.
Abby Park, sister. Hana idolized her so much as a child and still does, although it took some doing for Abby to get back in Hana's good graces. Abby was expelled from BHHS after getting into far too many fights. She believed herself to be doing the right thing, fighting bullies, but didn't realize how it made her a bully as well. Presently, Hana lives with Abby in Abby's apartment because she'd rather live there than have to deal with younger brother Jeremy's shit. That's not literal anymore. Abby was the favorite until Hana came along, then Hana was the favorite until Jeremy came along.
Ken Park, older brother. Hana never really got along with Ken growing up, always calling him 'Baboya' or 'Idiot'. Ken flunked out of BHHS in his senior year. For a time he worked at Kumiho until simply washing dishes was too much to ask. Ken is lazy and spends most days laying on a couch getting high with his buddies. He still has hopes to one day break out in the rap game, but until that day comes he's just freestyling and using. In exchange for supplying Hana with pills and other substances, he gets a cut of the profits. Hana constantly shortchanges him because Ken doesn't understand percentages.
Jeremy Park, younger brother. Jeremy is loud and the relatives love him but Hana knows he's a little monster and after changing his diapers one too many times she's done with him until he's at least in the third grade. He'll be starting first grade.
Lee Park, father. An entrepreneur of sorts, Lee rose from humble beginnings as a simple agriculture enthusiast (read: farmer's son) to owner of a well known Korean restaurant in the heart of the Hills. Approaching the retirement age, Lee has still yet to find someone to take over the family business and it looks like he might never, considering the Park Siblings and their wildly different paths in life. Kumiho is his pride and joy, after his family, of course.
Tiffany Park, mother. Once a prominent stylist to the stars who had to cut that life short in order to raise her children. Tiffany now works at a salon in Beverly Hills where she has to pretend to care about the problems of people. She's far more patient towards her children than Lee is though when she is properly mad...well, hell hath no fury, right?
