Nathair

Nathair was surprised when Eowyn held out her hand to him, his eyes pulled from his spirit’s graze back to the holder. For a moment he was a little unsure about the greeting until Quartz’s voice encourage him. “Nathair, she’s being friendly and you’re being rude.”

The Knight nodded, apologetically to his spirit then uncrossed his arms, his hand reached out to shake hers. He still struggled with his words as it was clear in his reply, the speech’s smoothness and sounds in a slightly slower rhythm. For the most part his talking had improved since he was twelve but it wasn’t close to ideal. “Yes. It’s Nathair…Lysander. Nice to meet you and I hope we can too. My speech is not very good…”

Mime’s sudden exclamation had cause Nathair to flinch, the noise rather closer than he liked. His head snapped to the direction only to note for the first time Arlette’s doppleganger and the young girl’s fidgeting form. Like him, this place had made her unease and the notion brought him a great relief so at least he wasn’t alone in this feeling. He naturally knew the girl thanks to his mother’s position in the Administrative Branch as Ms Chelsea Lysander had been placed in charge of the young Knight’s affair states, including that she received home letters, allowance and other important paperwork recently. They once worked together but for some mysterious reason, Arlette's name appeared on the Mercenary dossier one day and that changed things. Needless to say, Ms. Lysander was slightly disappointed she had lost her helper and the charming young lady's company. He often heard his mother complain about the fact Arlette being sent on missions but like with him, there was little the old woman could do about it. He was certain during the young girl’s visits, Arlette and Mime too, came away with a new basket of home baked goodies each time. It was his mother’s specialty and over generous nature, including her loving knack for conversation.

Both now aware of the younger Knight’s unsettle situation, Nathair and Quartz came to aid Eowyn’s decision to ease the girl. The knight’s hand placed firmly upon whom he believed might’ve been Mime while Quartz had noted Arlette’s head.

He started to slithered off Nathair’s other arm but before he made it to the bottom, Nathair warned Arlette so she wouldn’t jump. “I hope you don't mind Quartz coming over to say hi, Arlette. He missed you.”

Just then, after Nathair’s warning reach the girl, the spirit slither right onto the real girl’s shoulder. His coils wrapped about her head like some interesting head dress and seemed rather pleased with his new, more comfortable perch. He felt her tense and maybe a slight giggle, he liked to think anyways rather then it hurt her, and then situated comfortably. Unlike Nathair and the other humans, the spirit liked hot climates a little better then cold so he was more than happy to keep the sun off the girl. His narrow head lay upon Arlette’s head top, his mouth pulled up in a snaky grin, as he spoke. “Hello, Arlette, long time no see? Don’t mind the stares, they can’t help it. Ms Lysander did say you were always cute and I guess this is proof, isn’t it? Mine if I ride here? Your head is so much more comfortable then Nathair, less scars.”

Nathair knew Quartz’s comment was purely to calm Arlette down and hopefully ease what had unnerved her. It was something he was good, his tongue already at work without a need to coax him, while Nathair looked at Mime. The man seemed to be seeking for Quartz’s permission in silence. That was when one of the holders had decided they didn’t want to be part of a team, Mari's attitude clear as her lone wolf comment, when she broke off from the group. Personally Nathair was indifferent, however Qaurtz snorted, clearly disapproved at the woman’s disagreeable personality and his serpentine head merely lifted a bit off Arlette’s to watch the Holder disappear from sight.
That’s when Remia sighed and made a comment about the group being a difficult one. Quartz’s wings ruffled, insulted by the assumption, than rolled his eyes at it. At least he tried. Like he was going to be hard to work with the snake thought bitterly, he hadn’t even wandered off and before even knowing him, this Remia person made a snap judgment on his character.

“Oh…she’s a pleasant Holder to be around, I can tell.” The snake sounded sarcastic at the woman’s decision just to focus on the mission and leave them alone. However she never mentioned how she was going to contact them. He only could assume that she knew something or had something they didn’t, be it a skill or ability, which allowed for instant communication. With Holders, anything was really possible and with her recent display, Quartz had a feeling she didn't simply forget key details. He turned back to his little resting place. “As for being difficult to work with, we might be…unusual but not hard to work with. I'm a rather friendly snake to get along with…” He paused and then looked at Arlette, her head shielded by his small wings from the sun, “Aren't I Arlette?”

His tone indicated he wanted her approval…a little worried her views might not agree with his and maybe for some odd reason didn’t like him. That would be terrible mainly since he thought they were friends.

In the dark of night,when all are asleep they come. Their cloaks blending into the dark streets and alleyways, they move soundlessly in the city unseen, unheard, and unknown. All of them gather in the town square all looked the same, not one was different. When gathered they seemed to stand waiting, for something or someone. The clock strikes midnight and they vanish, like ghost they where, but one remains. The figure seemed to be in a daze leaning to much on one side, after what seems to be a eternity the figure moved, only sound was the light click of weapon hidden under the cloak. Like the others it was soon gone, hidden in the dank city. Dawn slowly approached the place and it was soon alive with buzz and noise, the person didn't return, but neither did it leave.

"Hey Linda wake up we'll be late for school" a male shouted tossing a bag at the sleeping girl, who grumbled and sat up,her hair was a mess. she looked around tiredly and climbed down from her top bunk. "Hurry up we're going to miss the bus" The male said running out, Linda sighed and changed before grabbing her backpack and following him out, yanking the back of his shirt to pull him out of traffic again."Are you trying to get your self killed" Linda asked the boy who shrugged "yes and no We have the math exam today" he said as their bus arrived both climbed aboard and handed the driver their tickets. "so maybe to be honest still don't see why is mandatory" Linda shook her head and ignored him as he started to ramble about right and stuff, she looked outside watching the city fly by., she sighed and closed her eyes, she had both day and night classes to attend to, she gets out in the afternoon for work before she had her night classes. She felt the male nudge her shoulder telling her its time to go that they where here. "ya I'll be right behind ya" she said haft dazed he huffed and climbed out meeting up with his friends, Linda got up and headed to the one place where she could be safe, the Library. The school wasn't bad but there where way to many who thought they where better then every one else, It mad Linda sick to see them, mostly cause they push others out of the way and she had the nagging urge to punch them. She sat down in her usual spot and opened her laptop, the welcome screen came on made her smile. She typed in her password and got to work in completely school work, She found out a loop hole in the computer systems at the school and was able to get and complete the days assignments, though she still couldn't get the nights. Shrugging it off she put the work in the system and got to first period, to take the math exam.

Hey Sento, these belong in a thread, not an OOC. :p OOC are best for conversations, chit chat like sharing your interests with other Players, and even interaction talk for the IC though the way this OOC goes so fast, I recommend using a PM instead.

Edit: Speaking of that, to all PCs in the IC- Who's going with whom? Uicle's currently taking a tour for Tyrael/Karnage's forge, Lucilia's Touring the herbamancy gardens, and Lidda, if anyone tours with then I'll gladly make a post for her, will be showing the classrooms.

Alright, I just haven't heard anything is all.

For now, focus on Alaira while we figure things out. The demon thing is slightly harder due to the fact it's not a normal PC and also other game mechanics in the RP like demonomancy which uses demons to fight.

I wouldn't throw them away. Perhaps give them very succinct, short bios noting who they are affiliated with (Playable Characters or Organizations, I mean). If you want to hold off until you see an example of this feel free. I'll be doing it for a few of my people. By doing this you can expand later if you end up switching around (people could die) or otherwise just keep options open. How does this sound?We do plan on separating NPCs and Secondaries a bit. We're currently talking about what the narratives for Secondaries would be like, but it seems pretty solid that NPCs would be very brief snippets as/if relevant.

Works for me and can do, though I might change somethings as last time some things didn't smoothly run as well together as I had hoped.

ShonHarris said @Everyone: We've been working hard creating a journal-like feel built up of character explanations of beasts, groups, and havens. The character sheet too will be narrative, unlike those we've had in the past. Basically, give us one more day to get up what we have (a few havens may still be WIP, but that's fine). We have an introductory plot idea that you're sure to love, very free for choice of course, so we should be rolling very, very soon. I'll say then, check out the Long-Term Google Doc and start working on those Character Sheets. I'll be posting it officially tomorrow with the rest of the OOC. I'll note that they are Narrative-Based (check out our examples in the Doc) and we're looking for ~1000 words -- loose maximum, you can go over a bit, but too long and you may lose readership, shorter is totally fine.

I think I only went about 20 words over that... mainly due to Abigail flavor, as for Kurtis, Remmy, Jose, and Cash I think it might be best to sort of just delete them for now. I've told Aweena and think I mentioned it on the OOC that I don't plan on bring the Sentinels around this time, at least not for a while. It's easier to keep focus on 2 PCs, which I plan on bring Racheli in on this, a character fave of mine, but there's one problem. Since it's written by her, I can't see her detailing her past-even when forced-due to the fact I know her personality rather well since I've played her several times before. It never feels right or makes sense for her to unless someone pries in then its only as little as possible. (There's a reason for this!) I also thought it might be slightly more fun to reveal her history IC throughout the rp to the PCs that get to know her when I do intro her into Apoc.

Currently I've got her history written up both post and after the infection which I aim on sending to both you and Aweena incase anything about it clashes with things in this new set up. Though while I can still do a narrative write up, I don't want to be penalized for her not wanting to go into her past, mainly early years before everything as she would put it 'went to shit'. (It's a touchy subject for her for many reasons.) Would it be alright to do this?

It's rather simple as it's basically what you and him are doing, only written in one post. As for the net hating you, it just means it might take longer but it will at least give the rest of us a chance to post! :p

Also, I'll look at the Village CS tonight, but do me a favor and pm it in the Pm you used for your CS so that way I don't lose it. XD
