30-300Kg as adults assuming you're talking about males. I doubt Allison or Abbie will want to target those 900lb monsters bucks with a 140lb dog (Yes, Rottweilers get that big). I also never mentioned what kind of game they'd be going after. Diesel might be able to take on a smaller doe, but honestly deer probably wouldn't ever been Allison's target animal. She'd focus more on things like Pheasants, Turkey, rabbits, maybe smaller wild pigs, and maybe even bow fishing depending on the time of the year and if she's willing to attempt. Stuff that she CAN carry back and eat that night. They save scavenging and natural food they come across for long term stuff.

Alone yes Abbie hunted small prey. From bluejays to turkeys, to pigs and fish, even pigeons and rodents like squirrels, opossums, raccoons, and rats. When you’re hungry you stop caring about where your meat comes from. Which I wonder if small game can become slightly scarce because they aren’t the only ones who are hunting it, but then again human population has dwindled down enough and undead, unless the animal’s bleeding or dying, don’t attack them. I figured since it was more subjected to humans, the virus doesn’t have much reason to alter its host line yet if at all. Besides, it’s slightly simpler and allows a secure, realistic food source to a degree.

Though to be honest, Abbie’s use to hunting for a larger group of people other herself, and in addition she’s also from a haven twice, so she normally tends to get the bigger game while hunting with a group as she can preserve it easily and for longer time before she has to gain more. Not to mention it feeds everyone. Eden Haven, her original haven, was a rundown version of what Chico or Reno would’ve been. It depended solely on everyone working together and on low hours of sleep, especially Abs who showed a good talent of making things work against all odds, giving her very flexible sleep hours between the rare 6 to barely 4 which she fixed everything there. So anything above 6 is a dream for her to have. She never volunteered for being the handy woman, just assigned when she ended up fixing a few things around Eden. Due to its isolation, the undead never knew they were there even with trucks. It’s literally miles, and miles of open land in google maps and it is not even where the original Eden town was.

Since we’re going after smaller game, I might have Abbie nail a rabbit with her knife skills. Namely I’ve got creative and luck based thing in mind with that which could be rather nice conversation starting for everyone. Even possible if asked, Abbie could teach someone else how to accurately and properly throw a knife which might help having her tag along.

Tony is their survivalist, he can start a fire with a bottle of water (Yes you can do that). I have a feeling they'd get along best with Abbie way better in terms of things in common. Allison being an engineering major (fixes cars and stuff) and Tony having someone who really knows their shit in terms of survival (she's going to blow his mind with the hobo stove). Brick is pretty hesitant with everyone in terms of trust. I'm sure once he warms up to people everyone will be getting a look at some of his talents since I haven't gone into detail about what he does besides break bones for them (he does have other things up his sleeve, 2 mysterious 4 u).

I would imagine you could, it’s mostly using the sunlight and magnify it to focus on a key spot to heat up, but winter fire starting would be hell due to less light. At least, that is the only way I can think of. You can’t really pour it on and expect it to start, unless you’ve got some key items and ingredients to create a chemical reaction.

And I agree with finding things they have in common. Abbie, unexpectedly, is all over the board with them when it comes to talent and knowledge though she’s still iffy on foraging. Before Eden was slaughtered, Kurtis had only taught her a little and aimed on increasing it when he got back. Sadly didn’t happen so Abbie’s confidence in what is safe to eat in the woods, besides the obvious game, is very lacking sadly. Maybe in exchange for her showing how she made it (yes, she made it herself, she’s a hands on chick) and allowing him to use the hobo stove any time during their travel he could show her the proper way to forage? A mutual exchange which benefit them both. As for Allie, Abbie will likely enjoy talking shop about cars, etc. Though I will admit, I’m not a big car frantic so while Abbie will know what she’s talking about, I will not. Which means it might take me some time to research the stuff. XD As for Brick, I guess he’s going to be someone who will need some work.

If you like mysteries, I could consider restarting the Eden plotline all over again. Namely it never got off the ground due to some problems and Guildfall, I think, which could be fun. Including Abbie, Kurtis, and his crew. Though that means I would have to bring back Kurtis, Remmy, Cash, and Jose into the fold.

I plan to make the most intimidating member of the trio a great cook, or find the least intimidating thing possible that's actually useful in a zombie apocalypse, and make him be good at that.

Good, cause Abbie can’t cook anything besides simple and crude basics. Cooking meat and veggies is one thing, preparing a dish and making it taste good is very much another. Kathrine, her girlfriend, often enjoyed giving her grief over that while survivors often tried to avoid her being the week’s cook and shifted her to other tasks. As for Allie, Abbie was around when Winni was pregnant (Simon’s child btw) so if she displays any morning sickness then likely Abbie will notice this rather quickly and remember Winni’s own experience with it. So brace for a conformation really soon if Abbie notices Allie’s morning sickness. Though part of Abs would be very excited and worried.

I see the beginning of a long friendship between everyone, actually. I can only wonder how everyone will react when Allison announces she is pregnant.

That is, unless Aweena decides my characters no longer tickle his willy and he makes a volcano that spews magma zombies appear beneath one (or two, or all) of my characters. :P

However, I aim for Abbie to some point create a Haven of her own in a way. So Allie’s baby, later on, might be a key motivation to push Abbie into that plotline and hopefully slowly take up the mantle of leadership one day. Or rather, have it happen without anyone realizing it. Once they get attached to each other of course.

Namely at some point Abbie’s character role will end when she becomes a bit, bad ass survivor, an elite leader of her own Haven. Most people assume this is a natural thing but I can see her reaching it if given reason and even challenges along the way, weaving a lovely story of survival and conflict in different greys.

I doubt that. She's easily attached to everyone's characters. Once anyone one puts in a vote or other suggestions other then Salt Lake, then I will begin on that post.

@Aweena and Zombie:

Again, big question- Is either of the farmers (or your new one, Aweena) or Coltrane sticking with Abbie? Mainly it affects my intro post to whether I decided to do a small NPC group, or rather have her separated from who is with her. I'm thinking, Jazzy, if you don't mind me using those discovered fresh zombies as remains of Abbie's last group? It might be rather nice twist to discover there might be an owner to the supplies they had gathered and create some fun with that, mainly with the idea of finders/keepers. :P Just a thought. Not sure if I want to use it yet or not. Though a 3th or 4th member would be roaming around due to a nice little conflict to deal with outside the normal, random bandit or undead scenerio. Also, it would be a first in this rp for me.

Indeed. No matter how much we criticize a CS, it is sad to see a player go. It takes a lot of frustration before we consider it anything but sad for a player to leave. Echo probably knows roughly how much that is.By the way Echo... You need a kick to get started on Alessia?

I've done that twice after Roan was made, maybe a third time's a charm. However I think he needs help with her abilities, or that was what I was told last time, and needed you around. :p
You realize how heavy a deer is? Not to mention, if they ended up with a buck or large doe, they would end up likely leaving a good portion out to rot without the right storage or way to haul. Abbie could turn most of it into jerky (and yes, she knows how to do that. :p She was Eden's handy woman when it came to everything, from cooking-though other then Jerky, she sucks at it- to fixing anything from cars to plumbing and housing.) but that would take time which is risky out in the open. she would need to start a fire, find a grill or something to clean then cook the strips after she cut them which since they aren't frozen takes longer. These are part of the problems she knows which is why she's not shot one, despite seeing many juicy ones around. :p
Lyn

Ssarak carried her in his arm. Her small body, tired and exhausted slightly from expending too much magic, was rocked by the motion that she managed to sleep most the way there. It was a better alternative to ridding piggy back since his wings made it rather hard to wrap her legs about his torso, though she liked the way the sun glimmered though the gossamer wings and fought the impulse to touch them. Instead she tried to imagine how they would’ve felt. Among the things she had been able to gather, most had slipped her mind, including the rune Alaira had given her and the fact her own had seemed to flicker red.

However the caravanmaster’s comment hadn’t gone unheard. Though part of her wished she was able to make it vanished, including the nasty feeling she had churning in her stomach, because of his clear displeasure at her sudden appearance. Lyn hadn’t counted on being discovered until they had reached town. That way no one would’ve known she was there and Lucillia’s aid would’ve been kept secret, preventing her from being in trouble which caused a great anxiety in the child. It seemed the others silently agreed with the man.

Impulsively she squeezed her stuff animal for comfort, its arms wrapped about her protectively, while she had forgotten the rune she had stuffed in her belt pouch alongside her dagger.

Hours later evening drew in and they pulled up to the Inn. The horse snorted while the head man got off, his feet hit the dirt hard and started to make arrangements for the night. Since Lyn wasn’t a part of the plans, it was likely she would be bunking with someone or she slept in the barn with the animals. She had to admit the second thought wasn’t as appealing to her. In the background, heavier and louder voices shouted for attention with words about ‘Anti-demon’ weapons which had gained her curiosity. She couldn’t help but wonder if they were anything like Uncle Tyrael’s works back at home. The young girl didn’t have much time to wonder when her unofficial guardian’s words had caused her to jerk upwards, Mei just coming into view with a blunt answer. It was then something clicked inside her mind and made Lyn remember Alaira’s last words and the rune. Immediately she started to wiggle to reach her pouch, enough so that Ssarak had placed her down, her mind speaking in excited and positive emotions. Namely because she could help.

‘Wait, Aunt Alaira gave me something for Meirin. A rune…Here!’ Lyn smiled as the stone was revealed, her hand held out for the Esyire and dropped it into his. ‘I hope this one doesn’t turn red too.’

For a moment, she stood there while the older adults spoke. At least until something tugged at her interest when she caught the merchants trying one last time to hawk their wares then began to pack up. Her wonder grew and finally got the better of her as she turned in place, her eyes narrowed at the dagger displayed in the man’s hand. Something wasn’t right with it. That much she knew, her body already moved toward their set and seemed engrossed in finding out what bothered her about the weapons. Unless she was stopped, Lyn would find herself by where the men were packing up and readying to head off to Eania shortly.

Even NOW I still double post. WTF? XD

Currently, my characters haven't been placed in any one location besides a city. I'm purposely vague as to where they are for a reason. I had an idea for them to be heading toward the Colorado Springs, but Aweena has STILL not gotten back to me on that after the PM I sent him a few days ago (I'm beginning to feel he just doesn't respond if it's something he doesn't want to tell you which is totally okay if it is). If you have any specific city in mind maybe Nevermind, you, and I can work something out. Allison will want another girl to be around to help her out and be there as a female friend.

It's alive!!! This was what I was waiting to post while it was done:

I actually got to researching and thinking for what city we should be in, during the time the guild was down, and one came to my mind: Salt Lake City, UT. It’s between Chico and Colorado Springs that actually fits well for a first encounter between all our characters. It also has a park and several landmarks we can incorporate into the environment and allow lots of freedom in the story, namely our own take on the changes and flavor. If we’re in agreement then I’ll make the post and have Abbie end up at the 7 eleven on 1343 Emery St, separated from her traveling group during salvaging or rather left behind. I reasoned it is because, despite the odds, everyone will seek that area out first to see if there’s any small chance there’s some gas left or supplies. Mostly due to habit and hope. In addition it’s an ideal and easy place to meet if any other survivors arrive without it being a simple bam, we bump into each other. Like an unofficial meeting place for all survivors. It’s rather got a nice suburb feel; slightly Walking Dead sort, and not too overly crowded for a loner to be found.

Let me know what you think and I’ll start weaving the post. I’m thinking of a bit of trouble in the post which could be fun to play out, easily allowing Allie and the rest to come to her rescue and easily earn a bit of gratitude. If you have a truck or car or something to travel, we might have Abbie and Allie go hunting a deer who crosses their path later. ;) It was once mentioned at one point that wildlife could’ve grown in population during the few years the undead rose, including some wildlife which escaped from zoos like a causal lion might be wandering near the border of Mexico or Texas, due to less harsher environment though I’ve not researched the possibility. I like to think the animals would’ve adapted.

Another question I have, Aweena or Zombie, would any those past connected to her have joined Abbie? I’m mainly asking because I’ve forgotten one key thing: Abbie’s not a very good loner, she doesn’t travel alone if she can help it which why I asked.

Abbie
There’s a different picture of Abbie, less serious survivor, and yes, I didn’t know it’s the girl from the tv show Doctor Who until after she was accepted. XD However, it’s the best image of how I see this character. Before I go into the intro creation, I’m going to set aside a list of items and what not on her person which will adapt as the rp goes on. Mainly because I want to try to keep in mind the realism, not all of it will be that but I let it slide far too easily and want to try to avoid that this time.

And here’s some of her measurements and information if they’re not in the CS. XD

DOB: December 11, 2002 which means she’s about 19 now
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 128 lbs.

Equipment:
bag
*Can hold up the same amount as your average backpack

1/3 heavy duty trash bags (6 left)

A gallon paint can used for water boiling, it’s never been used for paint and has been sterilize under the conditions

Hand made hobo stove made from a Pint can and a progresso soup can (Created in the haven and been through a lot, including well used a lot so slightly charred.)

2-3 xbox game cords.

Rolled up 6x8 tarp

Small compound bow care kit (inside a small hand bag inside the outer pockets). Including melted down animal fat and bees wax-half used- in 8 oz container, a ¼ bottle of oil-hinge/wheel type, 1 replacement string set, a few small untested screws or bolts, and folded up rag.

Attire
-Outfit-

Torso: A long sleeve flannel shirt, tattered along the edges, in a check pattern of black and white. There are two breast pockets often carrying a picture of her family, who she believes is dead, and as well as a pair of dog tags engraved with the name Kurtis Conner. There are other odds and ends within the pockets but those two things are the most important to her heart. Under the flannel, Abbie wears a tank top shirt sporting a military green color.

2 handmade para cord bracelet on her right wrist, made from many cords including string, yard braids, mostly paracord from frayed old ones, etc.

Compound bow

Lower half: The shirt laps about an inch over the tight jeans faded with age and slightly thinning into holey now. About her middle is a waist pack . On her feet are size too big water proof work boots, stuffed with rags to try to fit better included tied to keep fastened in a variety of ways and methods to stay on.

Quiver, designed out of animal fur and shabbier hangs at her side and holds 5 arrows, assortment of hand made and manufactured. Slightly altered to strap against her thigh so it’s not slapping against it in her runs.

combat knife (Tied to hang at her other hip side and easily pulled out when needed)

Inside the waist pack:

Handgun

Spare clip with 9 rounds left.

Food:

Inside Bag
2 cans of soup(unlabeled and untouched)

2 packets, one half eaten, of Peanut butter Crackers (stale as hell)

24 oz. Water bottle, 2/3 filled and attached to her bag by a climber’s clip.(water’s a little old)

waist pack

Small supply of beef jerky in a small sack, handful.

[indent]package of hard candies

I’ll put location and timestamps on my posts to help keep things straight and not shift it too quickly; it’s worked well and wonderfully in my other rps to date so I’m hoping it does here as well. However, for future reference, I think it might be ideal to ask if anyone wants to shift the scene to the next time/location, namely in a group, and that way we’re sure there’s nothing else anyone wants to do. I’m assuming it’s around Noon, likely early but it could be late if you all want it that way? It might allow those less eager to allow Abbie join them to be more agreeable.

>,< Sounds like a bossy woman, don't I?
