RP hunting is like finding the rare toy in the cereal box. Doable, but the time and effort is nearly more than I can bare!

Khan

Khan smiled and bowed his own head in return to her politeness, introducing herself and continuing her rather elegant greeting. He noted the aura of smugness coming off her for some reason but he didn’t mind, finding little worry in a harmless thing. Shala seemed humble enough as she casted off his compliments with politeness he would’ve longed to see in a few of his less than savory students, Alaira and the female Naga for starters. At her comment about merely being a pet, he chuckled lightly with amusement.

“Everyone starts as something and regardless of the role; in this odd world it all places some needed piece. Even if we can’t always see it currently. “ Khan answered before jerking his head up to spot someone, dressed in a grey cloak with fur trimming along the edges, draw near. Feeling rather aware of his kneeing position, the Esyire lifted upwards in time to hear the man reprimand his stone wolf.

When the arguement had died, Khan immediately noted several things about the man. One he wore a cloak far too thick for even the ending summer months and seemed to shield his head from the sun’s dying light which even wouldn’t harm Lucilia or Colette very much. Next came the brief pinkish coloring of the man’s eyes. The most obvious sign of being a vampire and clearly a skittish one from his hastiness to be away, something Khan didn’t think was wise. Following his instinct the Headmaster called out.

“She wasn’t any trouble and it wasn’t my intention to offend you by speaking with her. I can tell you’re not a student, Nhane, isn’t it? Yet clearly from seeing Shala, I can tell you’re a Necromancer. Currently the Opening Feast will begin this evening and I believe you might benefit from meeting our resident Necromancy as well as our Herbamancy teacher, Lucilia. She’s a vampire like yourself and one of my trusted staff at Twilight College.” Khan waited a moment to gage the man’s reaction.

However he didn’t simple remain in place, his eyes noted another man who he mistaken to be another vampire only to note the pale blue eyes and the fact he wasn’t hiding his face. His face seemed to have a slightly uncomfortable expression, added to the baggy eyes and weary appearance from lacking sleep made the Headmaster a bit concern. Khan knew those signs well because he often suffered from them in the absence of others. Still within staying within eyesight of Nhane, Khan’s long strides cut the distance between the second man and himself in moments. Focusing on other’s pain was easier than dealing with his hand, the throbbing edged a little farther to his wrist as he continued to ignore it. The small holes that burrowed pass his tough scales increased their bleeding to start to stain the sleeve of his tunic red, slightly. He inwardly hoped it would end up dying down before he was forced to fix it, the healer Samuel’s last lecture and threats to become his babysitter- or worse, ask Lucilia to-hadn’t exactly encourage the Esyire to rush to visit the infirmary right away.

“If you’re in pain, I suggest seeing the Healer in the infirmary. Samuel might have something which might help…” Khan gently suggested to the man, placing a hand upon the shoulder. The Esyire's eyes looked to see if Nhane had still been walking away. Personally the Headmaster had hoped his mention of having a vampire teacher might provoke a need to stay or at least a curiosity.

Well, isn't that a dark twisted little annotation.

Hope, even in its smallest form, can change the darkest of people. It's all a matter of perspective, and what kind of outcome you wish to see.

You've never met Anjiru then...if you're able to say that.

No, I'm fairly resigned to it. Also, I feel bad for Coco, that niceness coupled with curiosity is gonna bite her in the ass...Also again, I take it Electromancers can resist the electric current of lightning, but not the heat, wight?

Not as Novices. That's more a High intermediate and Advance skill, mainly because they control the amount of lightening pulsing through their body at one time as well as redirect it into the ground like a lightening rod minimizing the damage. They still hurt and take some damage, but it's on a much lesser degree then others facing a lightening current racing through their bodies.

As Novices even producing a fully blow bolt and shooting it without using a steel or mental weapon that conduct to strengthen it is pushing close to their limit. I doubt any Novice, no mater how skilled, would be able to do more then one without resting up a day or more afterwards. Also, once created after charging for a little time, it loses power once being shoot from the body since its traveling from its source.Novice are only able to tap into their own electrical current in the earlier stages which why touch tazering is their best option until they learn the basics. Like some other bloods, learning on your own without instruction can be rather...dangerous usually ending in death.

How can it be hard for Nathair to differentiate Mime and Arlette? Mime's the louder one. :p

It was in the beginning that was his main problem. Also you have to realize, its Nathair's mother that has the most experience with Mime and Arlette since the later was her paper girl. Nathair was likely sent out on missions often and only knows the pair through visits to Ms. Lysander. :p

I think that makes it all the better...hopefully.

When it comes to looking after Angel... one would assume and that one would be wrong, sadly.

Owls are well known for being wise.

Natural Owls are wise, Mathais was once an Elf so does that still count? XD

Good luck with making Mathias one. He might be an Owl, but he's a smart one. ;)

Nathair

Nathair watched Quartz become content with Arlette’s answer, seemed more cheerful and even smirked at the scarlet coloring that flushed throughout her face. His feathers seemed to extend, displaying his delight at the reaction as her arm lifted towards him and gently stretched out his neck. His head passed under her fingers, enjoying the light and tender stroke against his soft feather dress, brushing the slightly ridge horns underneath the plumage. The snake looked to be a blissful state. Nathair couldn’t help but shake his head at Quartz unsurprised reaction at the attention.

Mime’s protest had Nathair’s eyes flipped over to the young copycat spirit. He was actually happy to have been right since the first time he met the pair together, he never could tell them apart. Though he suspected it was pure luck and just gave her shoulder a reassuring squeeze, assuring the spirit he at least enjoyed her company. Nathair after all didn’t like to talk if he didn’t need to. He had been painfully reminded over and over hove funny his speech sounded, more self-aware when visiting his mother and noted the secretive whispers behind him. Most times he could shrug it off yet there were some times it wasn’t so easy.

It seemed Remia had found Quartz comment, chuckling a bit, immediately causing Quartz (still enjoying Arlette’s petting hand) to tilt is head at the blond then apologized. Quartz merely nodded, accepted the apology with his own reply. “It’s alright. You won’t be the first human, Remia, or the last. I’m sure some of the things I say out loud can be taken as wrongful intentions when they are mere curious thinking. Agreed?”

Nathair felt a warm feeling at seeing the Rook and Spirit find a mutual ground and agreement after Remia’s final comment. Remia then prepared to ease Arlette’s unease question about the Holder’s sudden departure. To farther and agree with Remia’s comment and seemed rather pleased Arlette remembered, Quartz added. “What I can say? I enjoy chatting with you. You’re one of the best listeners and cutest I’ve had the pleasure to talk with! Also, I have to agree with Remia. This place is populated enough any danger will likely be notable before it happens and besides, she did say she would notify us. I think that would go for trouble as well.”

Keeping together they moved away from the crowds, making Nathair notably more relaxed now that prying and stares had ceased. During the whole time he stayed close to Mime as if he drew strength from her presence, though it was more because he rather stick to fact he knew her better than the others. His mind no longer felt the tingling raced up and down as he listened to Eowyn speak about the fact four had been knights with a single Rook among them, made clear by Remia’s comment. Quartz natural felt a need to be helpful by adding his own useful information. “I’m sure my true size wouldn’t help in the least. Naturally not many people, unlike Nathair, would be used to seeing a 20 foot feather reptile currently in the open. However the key problem is seeing me? Right?’ Well, thanks a skill of mine, I can camouflage my scales to make my surroundings. Though during conflict it won’t remain which is the sad part and getting hit will certainly reveal me.”

Seemingly a little depressed at the though, Quartz pressed his head gently into Arlette’s head still thinking about what to solve their current problem. “Staying in my current, “fun size” would lessen my chances to be seen like it did in when I had to hunt the razor backs.” His eyes glanced at Nathair and added in slight mirth, “The boy had a healthy appetite for the meat, didn’t you Nathair? You ate it almost as fast as I hunted it.”
