RP hunting is like finding the rare toy in the cereal box. Doable, but the time and effort is nearly more than I can bare!

I love being a terrible person by making my PCs' lives miserable, it's art form that never gets old or boring.

Is it just me or have things been really jumpy and confusing lately in the IC? Like I just read some of the posts and they all seemed to be jumping around and a little conflicting at times...perhaps this chaos will help smooth out this feeling...but....I guess we will just have to wait and see.

It's a big group which makes it rather hard to keep everything nice and smooth within each others posts, unless we start posting the locations near the post top. That's how Seaside managed to keep things smooth and flowing nicely, at least made it easy to read the posts within that sections and involved with that scene. Top that off there's many different scenes and PCs doing their own things rather then being one united scene, make sense? It will be chaotic because all the different PCs see things either differently or only notices key things, like people in the real world, so naturally not everything will be mention in a certain but doesn't mean it did happen.

Also posted for Rathel who's currently lost his own struggle and thus barely registering his surroundings.

I will post Upsah and Heus tomorrow, my bedtime is drawing near. XD .
Rathel

Rathel felt his emotions slip through his mind, his heart grew numb and panic rushed where the void erupted. It only prolonged the demon’s inner suffering. Under his shell, his body shivered and quills rattled within his body enough to block his notice of another approaching his downed form. Within his mind he wanted to scream for them to leave him. To run and not look back, his body pulled tighter into a ball in a fleeting hope it would pass over.

He recognized the voice, Annabeth, while her form approached him. She was a sweet student, one of the most helpful and charming, as she naturally asked if he was injured. His breath became shallower in his efforts to steadfast to the spot. His quills seemed to stiffen and mouth tendrils wiggled, each time they would sporadically stop then moved in a chaotic pattern unlike his normal controlled ones. He tried to speak but most the words became lost in pauses, pitched whistles and clicks.

Click…”Runaway..” Whistle, and two clicks followed by “Something...” Click and snap. “…now!” His voice struggled with the words and his focus shot from the poison seeping in his body, poured from Khan’s own pain and misery.

Immediately the nearest plant snaked its long stem into a thorny like whip, each one sharp and bright red. It lashed out and aimed to take hold of Annabeth, first her legs then her middle and up to her arms binding them tightly while the thorn shredded into the protect she had. Though if Ananbeth had managed to avoid the whip like appendage, underneath her feet the stones from the floor moved and shifted to reveal several tiny roots that grew in strength and size from random area in the hallway. Every single one reached for something warm and alive to crush in its vice like grip.

Yeah, you think? :p

Kayle

Rea’c’s lessons on his mediation had ended sooner than Kayle had expected. Now she currently sat up in her quarters, her body once more laid out over the made bed and earphones played in her ears to calm her nerves. Like before, her nose was stuck in material over her passion. Her eyes settled over the Ancient writings that flickered across her screen, slightly amused that the languages she was best at had connected to ancient cultures back on Earth. This was a faint attempt not to dwell upon the mediation secession’s short comings. However her perfectionist decided it was far more fun to nitpick upon her performance then leave it alone or focus upon her studying one of the languages she was actually good at. It was the fourth time she had looked over the material that day alone so it was easy to become distracted from it.

Kayle sighed and plopped her reading at her side, her mind drifted back to the scene and the point of how she failed. Her leg curled upright again her front when she let her mind think back. The most notable, at the least the one that bothered her most, flaw was her ability to stay quiet. It wasn’t a surprise taking in account her religion and fact silent mediation seemed akin to idol worshiping when one tried to ascend to that level through spiritual power. Her stubbornness started to drive on her mood while she degraded herself. She couldn’t simply stay quiet could she?

Kay found herself scolding her lacking until it caused her to groan, head thumped backwards against the wall to stop it. It wasn’t going to help her now. Slowly her mind drifted to another topic. This time it was about how many more differences there was then similarities in both cultures, his and hers, when she looked closely at the beliefs systems. Unless she eliminated the key elements like worship source, method of worship, and other aspects, there was one key thing all religions shared: believing in something higher then themselves. God, Gods, the universe, destiny, science, ascension, afterlife, wealth and more, there was always something higher for someone in believe then themselves alone. Or else everyone would’ve been rather content in living out their lives until it ended.

Her thoughts were interrupted when from the corner of her eyes spotted the flashing screen. The second Lt. removed her headphones and picked up the small melody of her PDA, her finger slid across the screen to view the message. She quickly sat upright while she read the IOA’s massage. After finishing it, her eyebrow rose in question and once more retraced the wording until she couldn’t help but smirk. It said nothing about knives or handgun, just no explosives. One could never be too careful when running in the field after all.

Without wasting much time, she pressed her legs together and swung them over the bed side. The PDA was clicked off then left on her bed while she made her way to the ready room’s location becoming one of the earlier arrivals.

The first thing she did was head towards her locker. Clicking the handle and opened it easily, she pulled out her uniform and began to suit up in the black outfit for the strike team which included pants, shirt and jacket finished off with a combat vest over top. Next was the radio as she slipped in the ear piece in before she reached to ensure the wrist watch was secure. It won’t do if she lost track of time when it came to meeting up during splitting up. Another few small items were a pair of sunglasses clipped around her neck alongside her dog tags, pad and pen placed into her side in a pouch. She wanted to create a crude map about the area in case things went wrong and an escape route was needed fast. Part of her was hopeful she was just hauling extra crap instead, something she could’ve lived with, then depending on it. Next came her standard mm9 Berretta and an additional two magazines. She popped open the current one within the gun and counted the bullets, then checked the chamber as she slammed the mag back in. Then she holstered and snapped it in place upon her right hip near the belt pouches with the other two. She liked having them close so it was easier to get to. Last of the fire arms was the Zat, her eyes looked over it warily in her mental debate.

Unlike the gun, her aim seemed off slightly every time she fired it. On a still target it didn’t matter much as even when it clipped, the pulse rushed throughout the whole too fast. However with a moving target, even a slight aim off by a few inches could result in a hit or miss. It was a hard decision but finally, Kay sighed and placed it on the other side of her hip where she could easily get to it. At least now came her favorite part, strapping on her knives. The woman reached roughly for a small, wrapped up bundle which contained about sixteen or more knives of various sizes and unfolded it upon the bench behind her. She separated three throwing knives, a normal combat one, and lastly one that could easily fit into the palm of her hand, attached to a thin cord she create a makeshift loop with.

Anyone who was arriving then would likely see where she had them hidden, though likely that wasn’t all of them. Three throwing knives were placed in clear view towards the back of her belt while a standard combat knife fitted just before the Zat on the other side. Immediately she hiked up her pant leg to slip one into the nook of her boot then hid it under the pant leg. The last one was about to be place within her hair, squarely at the base of her ponytail where the band held it tightly, until she suddenly stopped. For a moment her eyes widened in surprise then her lips broke up into a smirk, her hand pulled away from the hiding spot for another. She mused for a moment about the reason and rolled up her jacket sleeve, the right one, where she placed her last knife within her hand’s reach. Finally done with her preparation, Kay stiffened to attention when she heard footsteps followed by Captain Black’s voice.

It was made clear the mission wasn’t an order and shortly stepped aside, Kay’s attention distracted when Coronel Blaze shouted to those still readying themselves. Her head snapped towards the direction as she inwardly smirked, knowing fully well she was already finished and ready to leave. Though she wisely kept her words to herself, Williams saw little point in it. His words reprimanded the Coronel Blaze for his choice in words and easily chewed him out with corrections about the mission. Her sight shifted from the scene to notice Cody smiling from his position upon the wall, her mouth about to open only to close shut when Williams turned his attention upon her and Rea’c. Kay listened to her mission objective intently. It was simple, her mind recounted the dos and don’ts over again that seemed rather common sense. She only hoped nothing unexpected happened in the meanwhile.

The notion of being stranded on a hostile planet wasn’t a pleasant one to her. Kay pulled from her thoughts when she realized Rea’c had moved to get ready, allowing her to finally reply to the Captain. She watched Williams leave the Captain, unable to hear what was said and not wanted to eavesdrop, and began. “About your comment on this being strictly a volunteer mission, Ma’am, I’ve only have this answer: One of the reasons I was excited about the Stargate program was because of my passion. Off the recorder, I’m going not out of duty or to unite the worlds, but because of my own selfish desire and curiosity. If danger just happens to be part of getting there, it can’t be avoided, can it?”
When she finished her sentence, Rea’c was already on his way back and stood waiting with his staff weapon at the ready. Once the others were ready, she was ready to head out.

Ssarak and Meirin aren't in the dining hall, they are on top of a tall tower.

I wasn't sure, still getting use to the new work schedule and all my rps decided NOW to surge with activity again! So apologies, which means Serge, Josephine and Dervis are the only three which could help out. Serge might be able to distract the moths long enough for Ssarak and Mei to get into the Dorms where I'm assuming their stuff is? Would that work for you? After they slip into that tiny window the moths can rush after while Serge gets something... A little bigger to distract him allowing you two to resume the fight as you want?
EliteCommander said
My personal preference would be for them initially to escape them to arm up. If they end up outside again, though, then I'm sure the moths would still be a problem.

To be sure I've understood the IC right, both of them are still in the Dinning Hall? If so, they aren't getting out through either door as both are being defended from demon hordes right now with more leaking in from the one that launched after Alaira. Either way, I can work out something to help your plan but you'll have to approach one of the Teachers to let them know. None of them are like Satori after all and can mind read. :p

Unless you two rather handle it yourself which can be both a good and bad thing later on in the rp. Namely since right now gives us GMs a chance to weigh, measure and judge your PCs in high tense combat as well as how well you adapt, how damaging you are to your PC, how well your PC team play and leads. It's better now then in the missions as there's not likely to be teachers to aid you should you get into deep shit and use took much blood for the PC to save themselves. So I would suggest using their aid while you can or if you need it.

This is only the first hell you'll encounter along the way my lovely players...

I'm trying to get back on track with my writing. *pokes Fallen*But yeah, it's a bit amazing that with so many "interested" people it's so slow. I assume half of them are out already.

I know but I lost the link and need it again Wind...-_-
It happens, I hope Mika got a new laptop... >_> Not heard from him since it broke down.
One key element everyone's forgetting and is about to come to to life: There's teachers all over, the very ones that have done the demonstrations and yet to show their true power. The Archmage chose them all because of their very unique abilities and skill set. Now it's time to show what they can really do, so shall I even the odds?

Is it alright if Cynn goes out to the gardens? Also, Fallen, mind checking your PMs?

Did and answered about Locas, to those in the infirmary:

Sam's going to help even the odds a bit with a few Runes. This where the mystery of the Archmage thickens and maybe, maybe end up being revealed as time goes on.

Lucius Cypher said
Aside from the archmage's room, it's pretty free reign. Hell, you could try to escape the college if you feel like you need to. I'd suggest that you head over to the courtyard and try your hand at facing the Masked demon after the two of you arm up. Ssarack may also wish to try to take air superiority and take out those moths, though how you do that is up to you. Just remember: kill any demon you coke across. Not even Tyrael's own demons could be trusted.

There's also another way:

Frost (cyromancer teacher) can slow them down with her magic and ice over their wings a bit, making them weak enough to shatter with physical force alone. That is if the pair is up to the task?

The teachers within the Dining hall is as follows:

Xeric, Frost, Satori, Abbadon, and Tyrael. Anyone needs assistance request a teacher and I'll put them up to the task. On a side note Lucius, you can't kill or cripple 'em without permission. Tangling and entrapping is another story however. XD

Infirmary:

Sam is the only one.

@Frettzo:

Gardens: Craig (noxomancer teacher as he's likely the only one that can enter without suffering...) can help out Coco as he can decay to create a weak spot to the mentioned areas. Also Lucius, you forgot something. Since Annabeth just waltzed up to Rathel who's also under Rage Poisoning, she might not be assisting Coco right away or as soon as you think. Rathel's not going to be able to hold it under control for very long and since he's unable to stop it, he'll have a very nasty surprise being a herbamancer... (I'll have Ghell on standby...)

Courtyard: As for Liam, Val and/or Lidda could help him out with a little support if you want.

Currently the only spare NPCs are Serge and Joseph for who ever needs them.

Konan and Frettzo, post your 2nd PC in the CS thread so I can link and update the op in there...

One last thing...if Norschtalen reaches the Archmage's room, I will promise you Lucius it will not end pretty. He might be sick but he's not dead and that will cause a chain reaction resulting in him getting out of bed. Expect the skies to rain blood afterwards. (He's one of the few mages who could rival the very Gods themselves, despite his condition.)
