Personality: FantasyChic is, above all else, a fun-loving person. If it's not fun, she does not take part in it (unless she has to). She is sarcastic and witty to a fault, at the expense of others. She isn't afraid to tell someone off if they are acting the fool. She can be the best friend you could ever want or the worst enemy to make. The choice is, often, not yours.

FantasyChic is reliable. She strives to get her tasks done, even if it takes a bit, but she will do it, especially for those she cares about. She can be inattentive, usually not because she does not care, but because she is probably thinking about puppies/glitter/memes/etc. She is also troublesome, getting things wrong and messing up in real life and in RP. However, she doesn't let bad times phase her.

History

Why Did You Come To The RP Guild?: I had the itch to RP those years ago and no amount of writing was sedating it. I needed a creative outlet. So after scouring the internet, I stumbled across this site. And the rest is history.

Life Before The Guild: I started RPing in the MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) game City of Heroes. I played for fun, but I ran into a group of people RPing. I asked them what they were doing and they introduced me to the concept. A quick character creation later and I joined their team and began RPing on my own.

Eventually, I moved from game to game, RPing in each one. I played Guild Wars 2, Elder Scrolls Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Tera mainly. Each game introduced me to new concepts and I grew my skills in RPing.

However, tragedy struck in each game. I was put into positions I was not comfortable in, I was harassed by people I thought were my friends, and I found myself not having fun anymore. So I up and quit. After a couple months, I missed RPing.

Life Since The Guild: It's been a whirlwind of a time on here. A rocky start found me joining (and leaving) many RPs due to inactivity or lost interest. Finally, I found a place I feel wanted, loved, and cared for. And I don't plan on leaving it soon. It got to the point where I am even considering GMing my own game: a thought I NEVER thought I would have.

This is my home now.

Relations

For one reason or another, I have come to know these people and consider them friends. Regardless of starts or ends, these people are the reason I continue to come to this site day after day. And I wouldn't have it any other way!

@Lord Wraith: Probably the person I consider my first friend on here. He seemed to be in every game I put interest in (especially the superhero ones). As time went on, we got to know each other and became friends. We've had ups and downs, but he will always be someone I care about and I hope we can write again in the future.

@Morose: Oh my pink bothers you? Too bad! I love this girl so much! She is a wonderful GM and a great person to talk to. We've butted heads a few times, but what friends don't? Who knew we started off in Superhero RPs together? I must have blurred those memories! Either way, she is a great storyteller and I look forward to the chaos we'll cause!

@Nallore: This girl is quite the character. She's goofy and fun and a joy to be around! She's there if you need someone to listen to you vent or to just bitch about our life with. She has even become a really good GM, able to create some interesting stories. Put us together and I have a feeling not much would ever get done.

@ONL: We met in an RP and our characters were fated to be stuck together. After all, we only have each other in that game. He's such a sweet guy and his characters are all interesting to read and interact with. I've had the best time RPing with you and I hope it continues.

@Natsu: This guy is so sweet. I've enjoyed RPing with him and having my characters and his interact because there always seems to be an inherent closeness with them. He's such a sweetheart.

@AbandonedIntel Basically, let's say she's facing off against a gun man. She could use her powers to see all he possible actions of that situation. He could shoot at her, he could run, etc. then she can see the steps necessary to be able to stop him depending on what he does. Does that make sense? I could link it on the Superpower wiki if that'll help
I like this. I can get on board.

The Good

I started off RPing in MMO settings. I was playing City of Heroes when I was younger, and I stumbled on a group of people talking and interacting with each other. I didn't know what was going on so I pestered one of them, and they in turn introduced me into the wonderful world of RPing.

Now before you say anything, I know that RPing in a game and RPing on a site like this may SEEM different, but it's quite the same. The only major difference is on here, you can post and then log off and return later, whereas you need to be in the actual game to be able to RP.

Be that as it may, I've had lots of good things in RPing on MMOs as a starter. I've made a few close friends who I still play with (not necessariyl RP with, but I play other games with them).

I think the biggest good to come out of it was how I expanded my writing. I LOVE writing. Love it so much. I love creating characters, places, things, worlds and establishing them and expanding them. I was able to increase my skills in writing from all the RPing I did. I learned what to do and what not to do when making characters, I learned how to emote better, and I made some good friends out of playing with people.

The Bad

While RPing on here and in other games, I've seen some bad things. The biggest thing I have noticed is when people up and leave with no notice, other than long periods of silence. I mean, I get it, and I've said this in countless other threads, Real Life comes first in every regard, but some notice is appreciated. Heck, even if you have to disband the game because of RL, at least say something so I'm not on here checking everyday for a post.

I also have the biggest pet peeve of Mary Sues. But not just the character concepts themselves, I also don't like it when people accuse others of being a Mary/Marty Sue because they don't understand the character. I've been accused of this, and in some ways, I can see where they were coming from, but other times I can't. Being a "special snowflake" is one thing, but no one wants to be a copy of something else (unless you are playing that character in that specific setting). Being different is great but being REALLY different just for the sake of it is cringe-worthy. But I hate it when I am told my character is a Mary Sue because I added something to make him/her unique.

Lastly, I don't enjoy being put in uncomfortable situations without my say so. This can be violence, sex, etc. I don't know if anyone on here knows what ERP is, or Erotic Roleplay, but in the MMO RP community, it is a thing. Now, I don't mind ERP at all, I've done it a few times, but it's always been with my go-ahead. When someone decides they wanna "do" my character without my say so, I get defensive and a little pissed off. Same with character deaths. Deaths can be great for storytelling, but unless I say "I want my character dead" DO NOT kill off my character!

The Ugly

I have a story to share with everyone. I've never told anyone about this thing that happened to me, save for some friends, but this is the reason why I no longer play MMOs, and why I don't RP on them anymore.

I won't say the name of the game, but I was RPing in this game for a bit now. I was in a group of RPers, I was enjoying myself. We were a small, somewhat close group, but things were going pretty smoothly.

What I didn't know was this game's RP community was one of the worst I have ever seen. There were vicious rumors going around, insults, drama like you wouldn't believe, all on the community website for anyone to see.

Side note for reference. I don't use voice chat. Or I should say, I RARELY use it. I don't like doing it, for my own personal reasons. And I get where some people come from, but at the same time I am a person and I deserve the respect others get.

Now, I don't know how it started. To this day, I still question it, but some guy in our group noted that I never speak in the groups's voice chat. He went on to say how he didn't believe I was a girl, I was lying to the group, and proceeded to call me a surplus of names. Now I expected the group to back me up. Was I wrong! Instead, most lashed out at me, being quite rude and vile towards me. They even took this out of roleplay drama and inserted it into the RP. Meaning they all of a sudden wanted nothing to do with my character, despite anything!

Lots of drama ensued. I was called a whore because I was talking to a fellow group mate about doing a relationship RP with him (he was the leader's best friend) and I was called a slut for it. They went on the community site and called me out in front of everyone on there.

Long story short, I ended up leaving the game and the site. I went to another game, but they found me over there and started this drama bandwagon again. So I left permanently.

Now...I am not saying everyone is like this. I know there are GOOD RPers in the MMO worlds out there, but I just cannot bring myself to do it anymore after the vileness I witnessed in this game.

So that is what brought me to RPing on sites like this. I still wanted to RP and I needed a way to get my fix. So here I am.

Moral of the story: Be respectful of others. If you have questions. Ask. Don't talk about others behind their back because you don't understand something. Be kind. If you don't like something I or someone else did, say something instead of voicing it to anyone else. And most of all, if you're going to be a jackass, expect a bitch slap in return :)

@Dead Cruiser I HATE when that happens!

I've gotten into the habit of just, copying it every so often so I don't have to deal with that bull when it comes up.

@FrozenEcstasy D: HOW COULD YOU!

That's totally fine with me! To be honest, I am not a huge comic book nerd as I'm sure some others are. I've read some, but I mainly know what I know of Superheroes on TV or movies or what I read up on Wikis >.<

I tend to enjoy graphic novels somewhat. Most I've seen are expensive (for a book) and I just can't see myself spending all that dough on something I'll read through in 2-3 days (unless I get them at half-price books, then it's good).

Hopefully I get to play the powerset I want, but if not I'm going to have to go over to the Superpower wiki and determine what I wanna do.

@FrozenEcstasy

Well then, I think maybe I'll be making a character either later tonight or tomorrow.

I will probably go the Lawful route as I do notice the chaotic elements coming through.

Real quick to our GM @AbandonedIntel. I had this powerset in another RP, and I was hoping to do it again, but what are your thoughts on Accelerated Probability? Essentially, he/she would be able to see the possible outcomes of a given situation. It's a type of telepathy. In my other game, my character was able to see only one situation and the likely events that could transpire, and that was it. She would also have the same mental weaknesses as other telepathic characters.

Just wondering if this was ok? If not, I will of course choose something else. There are TONS of powers to choose from,

Hey everyone!

Wow you guys got an interesting read in the OOC *munches on popcorn*

Be that as it may, I was wondering if this is still open for applications? Seems right up my alley as I love superhero RPs.
I posted. I took some brief liberties, such as determining the day she was teleported and such, and what Kurt would say. If I need to, I can change that. But there you go.
Rowen Davis

It was just a normal Thursday afternoon.

She was walking around her section in the restaurant she worked at, dealing with the public. She loved and hated the job. She made decent money every night, but she hated being treated like a dog, being groped and flirted with, and especially being stiffed.

While in the side room, the room where the servers go to curl in the fetal position and cry about their lives, she noticed brief movement. Curious as all hell, a trait that usually placed her in trouble, she followed the motions outside in the alleyway.

"Must have been one of the line cooks going for a smoke. Figures, with a packed restaurant." Before she could walk back in, a man stood in front of her and blocked her entrance. Normally she would have dealt with him, but he was different. His blue skin was evident and he gave her a smile. "Hello Ms. Davis. My name is Kurt, but I believe you may know me as Nightcrawler. I need your help."

Stunned into silence, Rowen merely looked the man up and down. She heard the name before, how could she not? The news was lavished with pictures, articles, words detailing the X-Men, a group of mutants teaming up to help the planet that hates them. She took special interest in their developments, being a mutant herself. She wanted to be brave like them, to stare adversity in the face and go out and help others despite receiving little to no thanks.

But she couldn't bring herself to. She stood up to bullies through school, got in fights, slapped a few guys who got fresh with her, but she could never go back to that night in college. The riot that formed, chanting her name and other things. Freak. Diseased. Mutant. Among other colorful terminology.

She didn't want to go back to that. But here stood a well-known mutant, asking for her help.

He continued to smile, "I know, it's a lot to take in. But we need you and your gifts. The world needs your gifts. Please?"

For a brief instance, Rowen just wanted to run away, to turn around and forget this blue man ever came into her life. But she knew better. She heard the news. She knew what happened. She mourned in her own way to a man she never met before, but who she felt she knew personally. She nodded at the man, "All right...let me get my section covered. Kurt shook his head, "We don't have much time. Plus, you may not be needing your job after you hear what I have to say."

________________________________

She has never been teleported before, but she felt sick to her stomach afterwards. She listened to what the man had to say, she took it all in. He allowed her a few minutes to gather her thoughts, but time was of the essence. She didn't know why, but she felt compelled to go with him. And sure enough. Here she was, in front a large carrier about to be whisked away to be trained like the X-Men before her.

Just what had she gotten herself into?
@flightless-angel-castiel I'll just leave this here...
