I can understand that confusion and frustration. I felt the same. -_-"

After thinking about it though, I think I have a guess as to why they decided on Small instead of Tiny.

'Fairy' doesn't necessarily mean Pixie or Sprite, even though they are the first things that come to mind when we hear the word. The word is as general as 'Fey'.

Fairy could include Brownies, Leprechauns, etc. and they might count as Small.

Still! They should have given the option of: Tiny, Small, or Medium. Because there are Medium sized Fey too.

Fair point, though considering the race of Fairies as shown in Wild Beyond the Witchlight, they do seem to just look like "Pixies/sprites but bigger", which just adds to the confusion xP
I just checked and realised that Jub actually has the second lowest passive perception of the group. The lowest is Tsak.

I also just realised now that Moon Man has left the RP, Jub is now officially the shortest member of the party.

Because someone at WotC decided Fairies were Small, not Tiny, and thus can be taller than goblins. This will never not confuse and upset me.
Regardless of what that typo might have you think, no, Jub's perception is nowhere near good enough to hear people's expressions changing, especially over an applauding crowd.

His Wisdom has no bonus, he is not proficient in Perception. Even if it was possible to hear someone gaping, Jub would not be capable of doing such a thing,

I meant to put 'jape'. Let me fix that that xP

Jub the Peculiar

For what was meant to be a celebration of what had been, at least for him, a long and hectic day, Jub was a little surprised at how slow and sombre Palasha's song was. He wasn't really used to this kind of music, but he couldn't say he disliked it either. It just felt... odd. In fact, this whole moment felt really surreal to the goblin. He did manage, however, after hearing Gabriel's jape, to widen his smile a little bit as Brutrumukk brought him up to the ring.

Admittedly, he did become slightly tense as they approached Mister Witch and Mister Light, as he could still remember the rant Mister Light had given him earlier after the Extravaganza. However, neither of them seemed upset or angry to see him again, at least from what he could tell, and he managed to relax as they placed the crown on his head, though he did try his best to avoid looking either of them in the eye too much. Again, he really didn't want to lose anything else to this carnival if he could help it.

As Brutrumukk hoisted Jub back onto his shoulder, the bugbear began to sing along with Palasha's song, and Jub took a moment to admire how much of a good singer he was now after singing lessons with the mermaid. After a while, Jub found himself singing along, albeit his voice was a quieter. He may have been a showman, but until today, singing hadn't really been something he had attempted, and even with his training, he couldn't help but feel a bit shy.

Needless to say, this whole situation was very overwhelming for the goblin. In a good way, but still overwhelming.

The module doesn't really make it clear how long Candlefoot had gone without his voice. ^^"

Welp. Thanks Wizards xP
This song starts slow. Tsak recognizes it as a song that Palasha originally wrote for Candlefoot after he lost his voice (there was no denying that those two were in love with each other).

Jeez, I just read that over again and now I'm suddenly wondering... how long was Candlefoot without his voice? I was under the impression it happened very recently but this makes it sound like it's been some time. O.o
And with that I will go play the game I just bought last night.

Yo what game is it?
Jub the Peculiar

Jub had been slumped over in his chair, still sulking over being told off by Brutrumukk when his name was called and for a moment, all he could do was raise his head and blink up at the thread as his brain processed what was happening. Thankfully, he wasn't stuck there slack-jawed for too long before Brutrumukk hoisted him up on his shoulder and brought him down to the ring. Any hurt feelings he had about the bugbear from moments ago completely disappeared as he watched his friend loudly cheer for him and telling the crowd to make way. That, combined with how everyone was cheering for him and showing no implication of distaste at a goblin being crowned the Witchlight Monarch made Jub give a big, if somewhat befuddled, grin as Brutrumukk brought him over to the ring.
“Wait. I lost to them?

Pffft xD I didn't expect Zav to be so annoyed. Considering she's spent so little time with either Jub or Brut, I didn't think she'd have much of an opinion on them.
