Gabrielle stands at 5'3", slightly taller than her twin Adelaide (though not noticeably). She weighs around 123 lbs. She is of a quite slim build, with subtle curves - not particularly well endowed. Her hair is a blonde-white that you would only expect in young children. Hers, and her twin's, never darkened with age. It is kept to about shoulder length and slightly wavy. Often she keeps it up in two short ponytails. Her eyes are a deep green, contrasting her hair. There are relatively large and a predominant part of her round features.
Clothing wise Ri doesn't always go for what is practically, as she likes to look decent. She is relatively fashionable and is more often than not found wearing a dress of some kind. Her preferred colours are pink, white, black and soft pastel colours. She tends to wear a mixture of these.

History
Gabrielle was born in Dewford city, a few minutes before her twin sister Adelaide. Her mother was a breeder and her father a trainer who never made it particularly far. Gabrielle and her twin were only one year old when their father disappeared out of the blue, abandoning them and their mother.
Their mother, Aurelia, made the decision to move to Verdanturf town and start over there - though she continued to be a pokemon breeder, raising a small farm of Pokemon and often giving them to people looking for their first pokemon. Gabrielle herself was never particularly interested in pokemon and spent a lot of her time thinking about clothes and drawing. She did get on very well with her more practical sister, however, and went along with her wishes to play with the younger pokemon at the farm.
When Gabrielle was 4 her mother remarried, and she was 9 when her first sibling was born. Gabrielle was more than happy to have a new father and grew relatively close to him - he was far more of a father to her than her biological dad. She was also happy to have more younger siblings but would never be closer to them than her twin.
Gabrielle's twin got her first pokemon at 11. Gabrielle was also offered the choice but declined it - she didn't want to leave home and go on a journey to beat gym leaders. She wasn't interested in any of that. While she found contests amazing to watch on TV she wasn't fond of the idea of becoming one. Her twin decided to not actually leave home yet. She didn't want to leave Gabrielle behind.
It was a few years later, when her sister already had and was training two pokemon, that Gabrielle met Aster. He was injured in grass near where she was walking with her sister. Unable to leave the small pokemon there Gabrielle took him in and nursed him back to help. They bonded over this. She decided that she would, after all, try to become a top coordinator. However it still took two more years for Adelaide to convince her to leave home. In these years Gabrielle trained with Aster, learning how to become a coordinator.
Since then Gabrielle travelled with Adelaide around Hoenn. Her twin was challenging gym leaders, and often failing, and she participated in contest. The two of them slowly developed their individual skill sets. Gabrielle preferred staying in hotels and the like whereas Adelaide was always for wild camping. They did a mix of both.
When they were both 17, Gabrielle was beginning to gain some success in contests and Adelaide had beaten a lot more gym leaders with the championship in mind. However their mother's health took a turn for the worst and the two hurried home to help look after her, and their two younger siblings. She is only just recovering now and the two finally have a chance to set out and follow their dreams. In the same time their father tried to contact them, with promises of something good if they travelled to meet him. However both twins decided against it (Adelaide more reluctantly).
Gabrielle is worried, however, that things might be more dangerous travelling about. Still she is sure everything will be fine if her and Adelaide stick together.

A kind and caring mother, though she has a somewhat dark past she hasn't shared with her daughters. She has always tried her best to be the mother that Gabrielle and Adelaide need and as a result they look up to her, and respect her.
Matthew Brooke - Biological Father (47)

Gabrielle's first pokemon, and the one she shares the strongest bond with. When younger Ri didn't have much of a passion to become a trainer of any sort until she met Aster. She was out for a short walk with her sister, who had only just got her first pokemon, when she spotted a small scatterbug injured in the grass. She decided to take him in and nursed the scatterbug back to health. The two bonded, and scatterbug decided to stay with Ri.
Aster is a friendly pokemon, and team oriented due to that. A lot of what he does is thinking about the other pokemon in Ri's party and he will often choose to defend them over going on the offensive. Overall as a fighter Aster isn't impressive, but he is fast and beautiful when he flies. There is a definite grace to the way he moves. His main qualities are to move fast and put some kind of effects on the opponent, help his teammates and possibly do a little damage. He always puts a flair to his attacks even if it's a proper battle rather than a contest

Amaryllis was originally Adelaide's pokemon, but is now in Gabrielle's pokemon. This is due to her general dislike for actual battling. She loved trick other pokemon and goad around them like that and it didn't fit with Adelaide's combat orientated view. She fits much better with Gabrielle.
In terms of battle Alis isn't Gabrielle's first choice, and likes it that way. She will often antagonise the opponents pokemon. She's a very playful pokemon who loves to play pranks of both Ri and the other members of the party. Pretty happy go lucky. She's fast, but not as fast as Aster, and it is rare for her to use a damaging moves, out with of leech seed.

Gabrielle met Tril as a Roselia when having a picnic in a field with her family. At this point she only had Aster. She mistook Tril for a flower and accidentally annoyed the image focused pokemon. After a small battle with Aster, Ri decided to throw a pokeball and was surprised when Tril decided to stay with her.
Tril is something of a stuck up pokemon. She isn't the best team player and to her the most important thing is looking good. She is a better attacker than most of Ri's team, focusing on special attacks, however they must be executed perfectly and look good for her to be satisfied and go through with them.

Gabrielle was given Quince when the Ninetales was just a Vulpix. This was a present from Willow, as a gift for Ri before she set off to become a top coordinator. It took a bit for the two of them to fully bond - Quince was willing to be with Ri but it took her a long time to get close to any trainer.
Quince is, overall, quite a calm pokemon. She tends to be the one that keeps the others, especially Alis, in line. She works well in teams and is quite friendly with Aster. They are an unusual Ninetales, being more psychic than the rest. As a result they tend to go for more subtle effects, and a lot of their fire attacks reflect this. Like Tril they are very special move based.

Gabrielle found Silene why she was travelling with her twin sister. They were spending a night in a cave and found a smaller than normal, sickly Absol. After disturbing her Silene tried to attack Ri and Aster, but Ri managed to talk Silene down. Silene is now one of her most loyal pokemon.
Silene has an incredibly loyal streak and will stick by Gabrielle through anything. As a result of this she refuses to back down from any kind of fight even if there is no way she can win. However she is not exactly combat orientated, performing well in contests with Ri. She uses a mix of special and physical moves at an amazing speed and is quite astounding to watch.

Rowan was the last pokemon that Gabrielle got. Like Quince and Alis he was essentially given to her, rather than caught. He was her step-father's but took a liking to Gabrielle one time when she was visiting home. Jacob decided to gift him to Gabrielle.
Rowan is something of the odd one out in Ri's party. As he was previously the pokemon of a top trainer he is highly combat orientated and doesn't tend to care what his moves look like when he battle. He is very focused on physical attacks, but is also almost as fast as Aster. He is slowly learning to care more about how his attacks look and style.

She has quite a sporty, but slim, build - she enjoys running around with her pokemon and believes in training up herself while training her pokemon. However even through working out and exploring outdoors she hardly has a rugged look - she would be naturally rather petite and there's only so much she can do to get away from that. Her hair is the same odd blonde-white as her twin, thought left much longer and curly. Often it will be tied back so it's out of the way. Adi always found pokemon amazing. She would spend her time playing with the younger pokemon that were her mother's, constantly begging to get one for herself. As soon as she could walk she ran around with pokemon. When she wasn't doing this she spent time with her shyer, more reserved, twin - looking after her. Even though Adi was close to pokemon, though, she didn't have any friends in Verdanturf - which her sister did have.
She was 4 when her mother remarried. Adi did not dislike Jacob Kidd but she didn't see him as a father. Still, she begged him to teach her how to be a trainer since had had also been one. He indulged her, but only slightly. She was 9 when Ryan was born. Adelaide saw Ryan as someone to follow in her ways - as soon as he was old enough he dragged him out into the fields full of her mother's pokemon and made him participate in tricks she pulled on her family.
Finally when Adi was 11 she was gifted her first pokemon from her mother. This was a torchic who she named Savarin. Her twin was given the same options but didn't want to have a pokemon or leave home. This left Adelaide in a bit of a difficult situation. Her dream was to leave home and become one of the best pokemon trainers, beating all of the gym leaders. But she didn't want to leave Gabrielle behind. So instead she concentrated on training Sav.
After a few years Adi had already caught another pokemon, Toire, and Sav was now a Combusken. She trained hard every day - she both trained her pokemon and herself, often going on trips around the area of Verdanturf alone. She also got advice from her step father. At this time her twin also caught a pokemon and decided she wanted to become a coordinator. Gabrielle still didn't want to leave home, though.
Unbeknown to her twin in this time Adelaide, and Adelaide only, was contacted by their biological father. After speaking to her mother she decided to take a month long journey to Sinnoh - telling Gabrielle it was for a training camp. It is one of the only times she has lied to her twin. Here Adi only trained more, and bonded with her actual father. Along with this she met Holly, another trainer her age who was something of a trainee to her father.
The trip was short and it was not long after this when Gabrielle finally decided she was ready to travel around Hoenn region. The two started their journey with Adi spending most of the time ensuring that her twin was safe, and taking charge of the practical elements of it, while challenging gym leaders and mostly failing.
When they were both 17 they began to get more success. Adi had trained her pokemon to a better standard, working well with all of them, and it looked like her dream of reaching the championship was in reach. However their mother's health grew worse and the two had to go home to help look after her. She is now recovering allowing the twins to return to their journey. Their father as also reached out to them, both this time, but they decided not to meet him (Gabrielle more than Adi).
Adelaide is glad she can finally reach her goal of getting to the championship, and is doing all she can to get there.
Adi always found pokemon amazing. She would spend her time playing with the younger pokemon that were her mother's, constantly begging to get one for herself. As soon as she could walk she ran around with pokemon. When she wasn't doing this she spent time with her shyer, more reserved, twin - looking after her. Even though Adi was close to pokemon, though, she didn't have any friends in Verdanturf - which her sister did have.
She was 4 when her mother remarried. Adi did not dislike Jacob Kidd but she didn't see him as a father. Still, she begged him to teach her how to be a trainer since had had also been one. He indulged her, but only slightly. She was 9 when Ryan was born. Adelaide saw Ryan as someone to follow in her ways - as soon as he was old enough he dragged him out into the fields full of her mother's pokemon and made him participate in tricks she pulled on her family.
Finally when Adi was 11 she was gifted her first pokemon from her mother. This was a torchic who she named Savarin. Her twin was given the same options but didn't want to have a pokemon or leave home. This left Adelaide in a bit of a difficult situation. Her dream was to leave home and become one of the best pokemon trainers, beating all of the gym leaders. But she didn't want to leave Gabrielle behind. So instead she concentrated on training Sav.
After a few years Adi had already caught another pokemon, Toire, and Sav was now a Combusken. She trained hard every day - she both trained her pokemon and herself, often going on trips around the area of Verdanturf alone. She also got advice from her step father. At this time her twin also caught a pokemon and decided she wanted to become a coordinator. Gabrielle still didn't want to leave home, though.
Unbeknown to her twin in this time Adelaide, and Adelaide only, was contacted by their biological father. After speaking to her mother she decided to take a month long journey to Sinnoh - telling Gabrielle it was for a training camp. It is one of the only times she has lied to her twin. Here Adi only trained more, and bonded with her actual father. Along with this she met Holly, another trainer her age who was something of a trainee to her father.
The trip was short and it was not long after this when Gabrielle finally decided she was ready to travel around Hoenn region. The two started their journey with Adi spending most of the time ensuring that her twin was safe, and taking charge of the practical elements of it, while challenging gym leaders and mostly failing.
When they were both 17 they began to get more success. Adi had trained her pokemon to a better standard, working well with all of them, and it looked like her dream of reaching the championship was in reach. However their mother's health grew worse and the two had to go home to help look after her. She is now recovering allowing the twins to return to their journey. Their father as also reached out to them, both this time, but they decided not to meet him (Gabrielle more than Adi).
Adelaide is glad she can finally reach her goal of getting to the championship, and is doing all she can to get there.
Aurelia Kidd (née Dubois) - Mother (42)
A kind and caring mother, though she has a somewhat dark past she hasn't shared with her daughters. She has always tried her best to be the mother that Gabrielle and Adelaide need and as a result they look up to her, and respect her. However Adi has always been slightly more rebellious than her twin and she's had her fair share of fights with her mother.
Matthew Brooke - Biological Father (47)
An absent father, who abandoned Gabrielle's mother when the twins were only a year old. Adi doesn't dislike her father anywhere near as much as Gabrielle - after finding out that he was a top trainer in the Sinnoh region. In fact, she has met him (without Ri's knowledge) a few times in Sinnoh. She has a mixed view of him.
Gabrielle Dubois - Twin Sister (19)
Gabrielle and Adelaide share a close bond. Adelaide often keeps Gabrielle out of trouble when their travelling, due to her sister having less of an awareness and more of a dislike for the outdoors. They rarely fight even though they have very different personalities.
Jacob Kidd - Step Father (43)
A kind man, who used to be a top trainer but now has settled down into family life. Adelaide has mixed feelings for him. She doesn't view him as a father, but more as a mentor figure.

Sav is quite a headstrong pokemon, with a love for fighting. He is quite likely to look for a fight and very rarely backs down. In combat he is very orientated in physical moves and tends to disregard everything else in favour of just all out attacking. However there are rare occasions where he works together with Adelaide's other pokemon in a battle.

She is physical attacks orientated but has a good defensive bulk meaning she can take attacks for other, more frail teammates (such as Sav). Toire is fast for a relatively bulky pokemon, too.

However he is also reasonably defensive and difficult to actually do damage (basically he has high HP).
