So, if something doesn't happen by tonight, IC-wise, I'll be sending Maria in to screw with everyone and get things moving. I understand why things have slowed down and I get it. We just need someone to pop in and push things.

I understand that we want to do character development but when there hasn't been a post in IC for 5 days, I tend to worry. This fight can still happen, but I'm going to shove Maria in there to stop it for now so we can at the very least get out of the damn inn.

If everyone isn't at the inn by the time Maria gets in there, she's going to just take the group that's there now and find everyone else in the village to drag them along with her.

Just like in music, the notes need to have direction. There should be forward momentum in the RP and if it's not happening, I'll throw in as many catalysts as I need to move things along. .-.

Sorry if I'm being, as I usually am, bitching or forceful. But I AM BACK. So now, things will be happening. I do not want to have to do a TS but, the entire group needs to follow the same timeline. So, if one conversation goes on for IC hours, then IC hours have gone by.. yanno... Anyway...

(I have a Vikki post ready, but I'm waiting to see what the response is to the initial attack before Vikki steps in and shuts everybody up. It wouldn't make much sense for her to stop the battle before the first attack had a chance to reach its target but after it was initiated. (But I would like for Vikki to lay down the law at least once. She also is about to "randomly" (aka I calculated it based on outside input and personal obsession with the Athalia Shipping Company) pick two characters to go with Prometheus to Europe, so that also needs to happen.))

(I don't know if you can tell, but I really like parentheses.)

Technically at this point Vikki holds the plot. Raijin's latest post starting the combat threw a wrench into my planned Vikki post though, so I'll have to wait until Heartless throws down before I can have Vikki interject.

Hint: it's not going to be pretty.

Anyone want to volunteer their character for the Europe team? That's about all I need before I make a Vikki post (having her choose the volunteered characters at random). She will definitely acknowledge the attention her chest has received as well as the potential three-way battle that's brewing, but it wouldn't move anything forward really, hence why I've been waiting. I haven't decided whether or not to have her let the battle run its course or dismiss it and start the journey. Of course, she wants to do the latter (no time, impatience, schedule keeping, etc.), but it might not be avoidable to let the conflict run its course, unless she intervenes itself (which is also a possibility).

I'm not dead though :D

You mean from the previous day? I think that would be too confusing to throw in a Carmen post after I've done two Vikki posts from the present day. I'll check it out though.

At some point we can do a flashback collab to finish their conversation if you'd like.

It depends on several factors.

The condensed version is that every kind of supernatural ability the user has that isn't based on the element provides interfeerence.

Starting from an ordinary human wielding Aqua as "0":

A user with only water based abilities - 2
A user with mixed water and other type abilities - 1
A user with no abilities - 0
A user with only other type abilities - -1
A user with fire based abilities - -2

At -2, the sword begins rebelling against the wielder. Someone with fire based powers could technically wield Aqua, but the sword's magic would fight them every step, and they'd probably become crippled.

How many "dark" characters are there then? My curiosity has been peeked!

Oddly, as of the beginning of the last season of Athalia there was only one character that had Darkness Manipulation, and he's dead.

As for dark aligned characters, if you're including villains there are a lot, but if you're only including those supposedly on the Athalia side there are few that stray to the dark side of the moral spectrum. Mizuki is one for the time being, but she's not of the type to want a sword of darkness. The only one she'd be interested in would be the fire sword, but even that is questionable at best because her fox-fire is plenty potent already. If the wiki was updated I could give you a definitive answer on how many dark characters there are, but alas.

Vikki took each response to her briefing in turn, first taking a mental note of what Prometheus had said and nodded to him as he walked out.

Turning back to the rest of the group, she took the first question.

"I have one! Do we know which swords the main group will be picking up, or is the element of the swords unknown until we retrieve them?" the Gortanian-appearing male asked.

"Only two of the six swords are known. Lux, the sword of light, is in the hands of Miss Brightendale. Nox, the sword of darkness, is the one here," she replied, pointing at one of the spots on the map. "The other four are unknown, but it's probably a safe bet that they correspond to the classical elements," she said.

The vampire continued with a second question. "...wouldn't it be easier to decide who gets it before hand? This will help mitigate conflict before it even happens, Correct?"

Before Vikki could reply, a feminine voice interjected. "Why decide that now? No point fighting over something you do not possess" The owner of the voice, a beautiful blue haired woman, presently joined the group. "At least not yet," she added.

Vikki looked between the two, forming a small, patient grin as she leaned forward and placed her hands on the table. "Believe me, you'll have plenty of time to argue over them on the way," she said. "That's not something I'm here to help with."

The blue haired woman, clearly confident, asked another question. Vikki was inwardly pleased that some people there at least paid enough attention to have questions in the first place. Although she didn't care about any of them (yet), it was her job to keep them safe. "If you'll excuse the intrusion, I have a question as well. What is the plan should we come across Marcus's forces and when do we leave?" the woman asked.

"We fight them," Vikki responded simply. She glanced around the room. "Our first plan of action is not being seen, but if that fails, I happen to know that you lot have powerful abilities that would come in handy in a combat situation."

"Well, prepare for some combat situations."

"As for when we leave," Vikki continued, "As soon as we establish which two of you are going to Europe with Prometheus, we're leaving. We don't have time to waste."

"So, before I pick two people at random, who wants to go to Europe?"
