Chen Jet

Chen shook Rood's hand firmly, disregarding the whole walking on air thing. "Nice to meet ya Rood. Nice joke by the way." Chen giggled a little at the pun that Rood had made and narrowed his eyes a little once he mentioned the Nevermore. "Ya know how some people don't like litter on the ground? Well I don't like litter in the sky either." Chen spat out as he glanced at the Nevermore. "But you're right. That monster isn't worth my time." He looked over at Vladmir and smiled. "Go on without me. I'm gonna try and find someone to pair up with, I'll talk to ya later though. You seem like a fun guy!" Chen laughed with this last statement and left the area.

It was as he left that something abnormal happened. If abnormal meant a giant worm coming out of the ground, swallowing a Nevermore whole and then shooting out a pair of students and a fair amount of fire. Chen would go a step further and say it was pretty fucking weird. "Huh. Cool." And cool. Chen shook his head and decided to heed Rood's advice, heading over to the relics. He hopped through the trees, teleporting every now and then so he could get there faster, when a sudden shake threw him off.

Chen landed on the ground feet first and pulled out his guns. He looked around for the source of the minor earthquake and sighed. Nothing, nothing he could see anyways. He slid his guns back into his sleeves and looked around. Someone was talking in the distance. He should go check that out, strength in numbers and all.

Chen walked into the clearing that Vi, Yu, and Bran were in. "The relics are that way." Chen pointed in the direction that Rood had pointed him to. "I'm Chen by the way, but like I was saying. The relics are that way, and I'm heading that way myself. Would you three care to accompany me?" He asked with a carefree smile and his hands interlocked behind his head.

Ryan Alon

Warakuma Hospital

Ryan took a minute to process what he was told and stared at Rui. He frowned, pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. This is insane. Cultists kidnapped him and threw him into an alternate dimension where his had emotions turned into a monster that tried to kill him. And then when he admitted that they were right, the bad emotions turned into a good monster that could fight for him. It sounded like a plot straight out of an anime or some JRPG. But if joining this Investigation Team meant saving others from ending up dead, than he couldn't reasonably say no.

"I'm in. If it means saving lives and taking down criminals than I can't just pretend that I'm not a part of this. Besides, I've always wanted to be a Phoenix Ranger." He said jokingly. Ryan smiled and reached out his hand for a handshake. "I'll try and pull my own weight, I promise."

Chen Chideta

Chen squirmed a little as the peddler witch drew him and Ruxen into a hug, it felt weird to he touching someone who looked like they were 12. "Please don't touch me." Chen asked politely as he wrenched himself from her grasp. He took a moment to compose himself and he brushed himself off. "Yes, that would be good."

They began to walk into the forest on the search for another Legend Relic, Chen idly putting his hand in the pocket where his was held. Once again he found himself wondering how this mysterious artifact worked, what activated it, was it really that much of a game changer? All these thoughts and more ran through his head, interrupted only by Ruxen's sudden warning. His hand came out of his pocket quickly and ice formed in it, ready to defend at any moment. "Which way is the danger coming from?"
Valentine

Valiant Village-Pangoro's Bar

Valentine ran a coin over his knuckles repeatedly, looking at every pokemon who got near him as either a potential customer or threat. After the twenty second shifty eyed glare from some random guy, it made Valentine want to sigh. Closest thing he could get to that was running this coin over his knuckles though. Over. And over. And over again.

Why couldn't he sigh? Well lungs aren't a very common organ on a Haunter ya know. Regardless, he was getting pretty good at this trick. You just gotta make sure that your fingers are solid to do it, that's all. His thoughts were interrupted by a low growl near him, being produced by a Krokorock with a chip on his(?) shoulder.

"You're in my chair." A distinctly feminine voice said with venom as the now identified female tried to make herself look as big as possible. Valentine shook his head, kids these days. Always trying to be top dog, as if it mattered.

"You don't want to start something you can't finish. Walk away kid." Valentine shook his head at the Krokorok and went back to his coin. Suddenly he heard the wind being parted quickly and once again tried to sigh out of some habit he had formed in life. He flipped the coin into the air and moved backwards out of the Krokorok's Crunch range. He formed a ball of energy in his palm, tossing the Confuse Ray at his for with accuracy formed from years of mercenary work, anticipating a dodge on the Krokorok's part. She once again went for a Crunch, relying on type advantage, and took the initiative. One Sucker Punch later and she was lying in the wreckage of a nearby table. K.O.

Valentine floated back to his chair and caught the coin he flipped just seconds ago. "Could someone get her outta here? Kids these days have no respect for their elders." He grumbled, ignoring the fact that as a Haunter he wasn't much older than she was. He usually considered however many years he had lived when he was alive as part of his age. Not that he knew how many years he had lived.

Valentine glanced over at a nearby presence as they cleared their throat, it was the owner. "Put it on her tab." He mumbled as he grabbed his bag and began floating out of the bar. Looks like he wasn't getting a job today.
Name: Chen "Z" Jet

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Height: 5'3

Weight: 115 lbs

Clothing Style: Black jeans and a black t-shirt with his logo on it. Wears a black leather jacket on top of his outfit with some sunglasses hanging out of a pocket.

Hair Color: Jet Black

Eye Color: Blue

COMBAT

Weapon: "Jet Stream": Jet Stream is a set of two black submachine guns with a red trim, which can transform into twin wakizashis for close range combat. When not in combat they collapse into his sleeves for easy concealment.

Semblance: "Sonic Boom": Chen teleports in a flash of black smoke up to a range of 20 feet in any direction. He must know where he is teleporting or he runs the risk of teleporting into a solid object, which would obviously end badly. Two seconds must pass between uses, wait time gets longer as he runs out of energy.

Dust: Keeps a few clips of Incendiary Dust bullets at all times.

Skills: Chen uses an acrobatic fighting style primarily focused around dodging and redirecting attacks rather than blocking them. He focuses on staying mid-range and peppering foes with bullets, teleporting into melee range when he sees an opening. Is more suited for taking down slow targets and goons rather than powerful opponents. Works well in a team, not much of a leader.

Background: Chen was born in Atlas to an Atlas pilot and a no name village woman, the pilot abandoning the woman as soon as he found out she was pregnant. The woman hoped to start a new life outside of Atlas and immigrated to Vale to find something new. Chen grew up always watching the sky, hoping to one day fly through the great blue and find his father. As Chen grew older his mother would tell him stories of the daring feats his father would perform, but never told him his name. She would instead call him "Z", though she never explained why. As he grew older he abandoned his dream of meeting his father, becoming aware that his father wasn't as great of a man as he believed, but never gave up on one day flying. He joined Beacon to become a Huntsman and maybe because he liked how high up Beacon was in comparison to the town he lived in.

Character Theme: Chen is loosely based off of Zephyrus, the Greek god of the west wind. Zephyrus is also the god of the spring wind, which is why I made Chen such a happy and jokestery person. In Zephyrus' stories he's also shown as a womanizer which I included in the form of Chen's father. And finally Chen's nickname "Z" is an reference to the first letter of Zephyrus.

Other: Jaune is not best, Ren is best. Ren will always be best.
Ryan Alon

???

Ryan awoke to the sound of operatic singing and a piano, he opened his eyes and saw blue. Nothing but blue everywhere, the floor was blue, the ceiling was blue, it reminded him of a song he had heard a while ago. But that wasn't even the strangest thing, that title went to the man sitting before him. He was even smaller than Ryan, with all the extra height seemingly going to his nose. Beside him was a very gorgeous woman with blonde hair, somewhat out of place in this strange place. Finally he noted his clothes, high quality and surprisingly, not blue.

The man introduced himself as Igor, he was the owner of this place, "The Velvet Room" it was called. Meanwhile the woman's name was Henrietta, a fancy name for a fancy lady. It was just then that Ryan noticed the other occupant of the room. A blurry silhouette he couldn't make out, all he could tell was that they were wearing a surcoat and cravat. Very nice.

Ryan blushed when his card was revealed to be The Lovers, but as it was explained he nodded. Made sense. The other person got The Star, which sounded much cooler to be honest. Henrietta walked towards him and the blurry person, giving them both keys before Ryan blacked out.

Warakuma Hospital

Ryan woke up once more to the sound of repeated dinging and fingernails tapping rapidly on a nearby table. "Who's phone is on?" He asked as he blinked the sleep out of his eyes. Suddenly he was enveloped in a crushing hug as he finally realized who was next to him. His mom's eyes were red and puffy, normally perfect straight blonde hair disheveled, as if she hadn't combed it in a week. She looked him in the eyes with her own striking blue eyes and sniffed in a bit of snot as she tried to find the words to describe her worry.

"Who did this to you? Are you okay? Did they take anything from you? Do you need anything? On a scale of one to ten how much do you hurt?" She shot off rapid fire as she grabbed him by the shoulders, letting go after the last question.

"One second." Ryan said groggily as he adjusted to his new surroundings. He was in the hospital, a hospital bed to be more specific. He vaguely wondered if he had dreamt the whole thing, but no. He felt something in the back of his mind, a presence that he had felt earlier in that weird world. Persona. The word came to his mind out of nowhere, yet it felt very right to describe the presence as such.

"Ok, no I didn't see them, yes I'm okay, no they didn't take anything, some water would be nice, and I'm just kinda tired. That's it." Ryan smiled at his mother's concern, it felt good after a month of her just being absent.

She nodded once and got up to go get some water, the clicking of her heels against the floor being the last thing she left behind as she went to grab the water. Ryan relaxed a bit, but flinched as a loud ding sounded off. The last thing she left behind was her phone. God that thing was annoying. Ryan tried to reach for it from his bed, but he couldn't quite get his hands on it. He sighed and resigned himself to having the constant dinging as his background noise for a while.
Chen Jet

Chen blinked a few times and shrugged. He wasn't going to argue with a free pass. He heard a Nevermore crashing in the distance and looked towards the sound. That's where he would go. He would go kick that bird's ass for even daring to befoul the sky with its presence. He nodded in the direction of Ozpin and smiled. Suddenly another guy rushed over and started giving legitimate reasons for being late and he felt slightly awkward. "Well uh... thanks headmaster dude. See ya later I guess. And later blonde lady. Don't quite remember your name so... sorry I guess? I'm gonna stop talking now." He chuckled nervously at that statement and headed to the launchpads.

He waited a few seconds before stepping on and took a deep breath. 'Time to fly. Or something close to it at least.' His grin returned full force and he stepped on to the launch pad, going flying into the air the second he put his second foot on. Chen let loose a cry of joy as he flew through the air, reaching his zenith and feeling the wind blow through his hair, on his skin, it was perfection.

And then he started falling.

"Wait a second, how the hell am I landing! Crap crap crap CRAP!" Chen began searching desperately for some way to slow his descent as he headed straight for a tree and a one way ticket to whatever afterlife existed. He pulled on his Aura and teleported just above a nearby branch at the last second, retaining his momentum but able to control it a bit better. He put one foot on the branch and pushed off to the next one, gradually slowing down so he could catch his bearings. Finally Chen stopped, breathing heavily as he came down from his adrenaline high. He caught his breath and looked upwards, his grin even bigger and happier. "Nailed it!"

Chen quickly began teleporting to the top of the tree, two or three branches at a time, and began scanning the horizon. Finally he found what he was looking for and started heading towards the fight. Damn this was shaping up to be a good year.

Chen was quick about getting to where he thought the crash zone was, but it would appear as if the unholy bird had gotten away. Disappointing, but there were a few students nearby, they seemed cool. Chen whistled to catch their attention and waved at them, one arm holding on to a branch above him so he didn't fall off by accident. "Yo, which way do the bird go? I wanna take that sucker down." He said with venom in his voice, man he hated Nevermores. He shook his head and took a deep breath. "No, that was rude. Let me try again, I'm Chen Jet. I like bad jokes, video games, and other things. Nice to meet you two." He flashed a smile but stayed on alert in case the Nevermore came back. He then looked over to where they were facing and saw it. "Nevermind about the bird."
