Cobalt sighed and shook his head. "Never mind Emerald. We'll fill you in later. You don't have to leave." He turned to the other cat girl as he said this. As for how they were doing... they would definitely be better once they started training and got their mind off the whole incident.

"Way I see it, I could always be doing worse. As long as I think about it like that, life seems pretty good." Cobalt smiled when Oswald bought up his story about his Semblance.

Henry Pearl Avaritia The 2nd

@KoL

Henry panicked as he began storing everything in his Gates into different compartments away from the massive tear, saving as much as he could with giant hands of Silver from the giant ground fissures and throwing the treasures into other portals that he had to open and close on a dime. A large amount of his non magical axes were destroyed by the black hole, about 20,370 of them to he exact, and he lost 15,722 swords the the giant ground fissures. One of those swords had belonged to his father, not his father's first sword which was kept in its own special place in the Gates, but one of the swords his father had used nonetheless.

Henry was so focused on saving as much stuff as he could that he barely noticed the smug smile on Princess's face, nor any of her actions in general. He didn't mind if he died right now, he definitely minded if he lost a lot of stuff though. Which is why he made absolutely no note of her teleportation above him. He did notice her teleport in front of him however and he definitely noticed her almost bone breaking kick to the chest.

Henry's heart stopped beating for a few moments as he went flying through the air but it definitely restarted when he hit the mountain and went flying through several walls. He finally impacted against one last wall and he fell to the ground coughing up blood and struggling to breathe. He had no idea where he was anymore, but it definitely looked dwarven in nature so that might be good. He tried to get up and noted that his ribs were definitely broken and his spine was definitely broken as well. Yeah he can't move his legs. Probably about 5 minutes until he bled out.

A minute passed and Henry finally had the strength to reach into the Gates of Tartarus and pull out a bottle of human blood infused with healing magic. He popped the top off and struggled to drink it without spilling to on himself or coughing it back up. It wouldn't heal him all the way, but it would get him through the rest of the battle. Or at least the rest of the next ten minutes. The potion went to work on the most serious injuries first, which was his spine and his ribs. Another minute passed and his spine was healed enough to let him get up and walk, he was going to have to hold his ribs in place for a while though to let that heal properly. Henry finally stood up and began walking in a random direction, muttering under his breath about space whores.
It's the Mystic Macguffin, with the supernatural power to move the plot forward.
@Lonewolf685

Henry is just barely out of range of the Anchor. If he had taken a few more steps forward we would be looking at some fried Henry.

Henry quickly constructed a massive wall in front of him in an attempt to block the massive rush of kinetic energy that was attempting to atomize him. The wall was blown apart but luckily it absorbed enough impact to only make the force a solid punch to the gut. He began coughing slightly and his eyes widened as he shuddered in fear. Fear and excitement.

Henry turned around immediately knowing she would try the obvious sneak attack, backing his head away from her palm as she pressed it into his face. "Rude." He opened a Gate of Tartarus in response to the mass flow of radioactive goo, closing the Gate immediately in preparation for another attack. His forethought was rewarded when Princess swung at him in an attempt to bisect him. Henry opened a portal at the side she swung from, but with a twist.

Air began to violently rush into the portal, attempting to wrench her blade put of her hands. "What do you think? I sectioned off a portion of my pocket dimension like a vacuum. It's like opening a door in space!" If he actually managed to steal her sword, the portal would close and reopen next to her head, shooting the sword out at nearly 500 MPH in an attempt to stab her with her own blade. Meanwhile Henry was just going to go for a punch to the gut to see what would happen.
@TheWindel

That's a classic.

I'm afraid I wasn't in the RP for the first battle, so I don't exactly know what you're talking about. I'll take your word for it though.
Obviously the only solution to dealing with powerful enemies is to make yourself more power to deal with them! Or at least hope to God or whatever listens to your prayers that you can get a job done without incurring the bored fury of your local war deity.

You could try begging and groveling too.

This is actually a perfect segue into the next question I wanted to ask. @TheWindel is there going to be a period of time in between battles where characters can train themselves up to get stronger? Because I definitely have some plans for Henry and him getting way better with the Gates of Tartarus and his Silver Eyes. It just needs him to train for a few weeks, maybe get some help from Sliske (if he ever stops throwing a temper tantrum on the moon)

I've already argued for Bastion's case. From day one she was going to be a weapon for whatever Faction ended up winning her; as it turns out, the Machina ended up winning her. The first battle in the RP boiled down to who got Bastion first. If you didn't see that coming, perhaps go back to read the first few IC posts because it's pretty obvious. Furthermore, Bastion isn't even near PCs and is only interacting with GM characters. I don't see a problem here. As for Juno, I'm again leaving that for KoL to defend since this isn't the first time Juno being OP has been an issue.

I can accept Bastion, so far she doesn't seem too broken and I can understand your argument. I guess my main problem is with Juno. Because everyone fighting her has exactly two options, run like a bitch or die. With KoL sometimes choosing the second option for you.
<Snipped quote by floodtalon>

I'm not even going to touch Juno's case and will leave that up for @KoL to dispute. KoL will also gladly tell you that the Demons screwed themselves over and have no one else to blame but themselves; again, consult KoL on that. As for Bastion, she's a weapon and was the prize everyone was fighting for in the first battle. With that in mind, what did you expect? That she wasn't going to be some broken thing? There was a reason why every Faction wanted her.

I'm not going to argue that the Demon's screwed themselves by trusting Miyu. They totally did. What I'm arguing is that these "Hero" characters are definitely broken. Like, automatic game win broken. Why bother even having the round if the "Hero" is just going to autowin it by pure brute force? It's just something to consider in the future when doing this sort of thing.
