I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Bio

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

You, I'm pretty sure. Sparr's the rich girl.

Although Sparr fits that description, too.
And a battle obsessed, freedom fighter Tsundere. 'Nuff said.

Is this me or Kray?
And so the IC snarkery finally begins.

Note:
Bogey = Unidentified Object
Tango = Hostile target

Shooting bogies is generally not a thing actually done.

Bandits, however.

Will interpret post as using bandit terminology in place of incorrect bogey.

Not sure I'd want to apply Myers-Briggs to character sheets myself, but I'd love to sit in on a field test. It is one way to shorthand.

Well, in my case is shorthand for "behave as yourself".

I'd like to see myself screw something like that up.
leaky barrels.
What's up, DragonBu... wait...

Anyways, welcome to ze guild, DBfly.
Eh, there's spam-game posting, which is spam-game posting

And there's the IC posts, which is like in-character spam-posting in that third-person narrative they drill into your brain back in highschool.
-restating events from your character's perspective can help overcome writer's block, and neatly condenses what needs to be read to review events in the thread

OOC is something in between those two and generally relates to things about to or have happened in the IC (things that could've been).

Anyways, welcme to the guild @lazyintrovert, most of us only bite if you ask us to.
When I started, I RPed older folks; usually tried to be the voice of reason, caution, calm, and forgiveness. Typically backed-up with broad skillset already mastered.

But as years went by I decided to get reckless and RP younger characters for an added spike in difficulty as those characters had to learn things I as a person already knew, typically the hard, painful, and often in embarassingly-amusing ways.

This has kept my median roleplay-age somewhere around mid to low twenty-somethings unless RPing races that live ridiculously long (or short) lives.
-With exception to the wheelchair-bound 75 year old badass-grandpa in power-armor.
As in completed completed. End of story. The end. I haven't seen a lot of those.

Um... sort of?

I mean, we did one RP that lasted a year, the war was effectively over with peace-treaties signed and reconstruction efforts underway in the epilouge of the thread (a surprisingly happy ending, really). It was deemed just barely epic and noteworthy enough to get its own wiki-page afterwards.

But then that story got dug up and continued.

5 more times.

Techincally, that RP won't be dead until every character involved, and every character they've interacted with are dead. Or all the players involved decide to give-up roleplaying it.

Naturally, any of the still-active surviving original characters are several shades of crazy, as they'd have been RPed through a real-life decade of nuclear-conflict, brush-wars, and BS-espionoge.
(So it pretty much became a zombie-franchise like Metal Gear)

That's usually pretty good too. Tells you enough about the character but doesn't constrict you that much.

When in doubt, INTJ all the way.
