Definitely not deception. Pride in his own ability to take care of things. I imagine he also thinks it’s protecting us.
Some things don't need to be said, but that's a fine line to walk.

<Snipped quote by Fractured>
Well, not telling a whole truth is lying no? Maybe not the most sever form, but still.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
Absolutely not. He may not ask for help in a literal sense, but I think his lying is his way of letting me know something worries him enough that he wants help. He’s just too prideful to ask normally, so I’ve gotta jump through hoops.
*Chuckles and shakes my head*
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
No no, definitely not. But it’s the biggest way in which we learn.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
I will take some, and why no more?
<Snipped quote by Galvanize>
Well of course. I consider myself lucky to have him too. He’s also got four kids who need him to come home, so there’s no way he won’t. Even if he needs me to drag him there.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
*Shrugs*
No way for me to really say one way or the other.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
Mm. Your experience also runs far deeper than mine.
<Snipped quote by Galvanize>
You flatter me. Despite all the complaining, I wouldn’t be so passionate about it if the inverse wasn’t true as well.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
Hard to say at the moment!!...maybe a bit of both? We have friends in his mind right now!!
<Snipped quote by Galvanize>
Nope, it won’t. He’s going to get help whether he likes it or not, and I’m going to make sure he isn’t going anywhere.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
Maybe it’s a variation in experiences.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
Shinji! He went mad and attacked me for keeping his body in stasis. Even though it is protecting him and others. Something evil is going on in his mind and bad guys trying to kill him.
<Snipped quote by Fractured>
It’s an issue that can be resolved with enough support, usually. Some might need more than others, but you can get anyone up to that operating standard.
<Snipped quote by Galvanize>
I’m thankful for the information though. Thanks for making me aware of the full situation.
