Actually, I do have a few questions. First of all, now that I know the OP is a bit out of date, I need to know the process in which Gem brides are chosen. And it was previously said that my character and @Belle's new character were both probably going to be part of @NarcissisticPotato's character's harem. Is this accurate? And if so, what's that group up to?
Hey, so I have a few quick questions before I make my character sheet. First off, can someone give me a rundown on everything that's gone down in the course of the RP? And second, should I make my character as if she's just been captured?
@RomanAria

Yeah, that's why I thought it might be a little out of place. It's just that I want to play a strong, fiery female Gemmatite character who's not completely helpless, and that's my best idea. Also, I'm not sure if you guys changed it during the course of the RP, but on the first post, it says that most brides are given to Drekkan nobles, but some are chosen.
@Framing A Moose
Yooooo - Manatee sort of hung up the GM boots a while ago so as far as I'm aware, @Ellion is our acting GM!

Thank you for the information my dear potato friend! ^_^

@Ellion

Hey, now that I know that you're the GM, I thought I'd tell you that I posted something for the previous GM, as I wasn't aware that the job fell upon somebody else! So I'll just quote my questions here:

@agentmanatee

Are you still accepting?

If so, could I create a Gemmatite thief who was given to a Drakken noble as a bride, but is secretly working as a spy for the Gemmatite government in order to shorten her sentence? Or would that be totally out of place for this RP?

@ParagonX or @AnyOneWhoMightBeAbleToAnswerMyQuestion

Hey, so does anyone know, in relation to when the characters get their powers, this RP starts? Does it start when they first get their powers? Or a few months later?

@ParagonX

I'll definitely do this! I'd like to reserve the ability of Flight, though I may throw in a few extra, more minor super powers when I actually create her.

Xanadu Revua

Xanadu Revua had been surprised many times in the course of her life. She had been ambushed by Grimm more times then she could count, she had been startled by hostile animals on numerous occasions, and even had a few run-ins with traveling bandits before her time at Beacon. But none of that had quite prepared her for the shock she was feeling right at that moment, as she sat in the stands of Amity Colosseum staring down at the young girl, or whatever it was, that had been ripped apart by the famed fighter Pyrrha Nikos. It was a strange kind of shock, one that Xanadu was not familiar with. It wasn't a sudden punch to the gut followed by a quick recovery. No. The shock was lasting. No matter how long she stared at the mangled up wires and metal bits, the shock just wouldn't go away. Then, the shock got worse.

A loud alarm began ringing throughout the arena, declaring its warning in a calm and cold robotic voice. A horde of Grimm were descending on Vale and Beacon, one bigger than Xanadu herself had ever heard of. It was clear to her that she needed to get off of the floating stadium as soon as she could. She needed to make sure her team was okay, and then she needed to do her part to help mankind. And with that, she sprinted out of the stands, down the stairs, and through crowds, until she finally arrived at he docks, where airships were already ready to take people back down to Beacon and Vale. However, these were not the only ships she saw. There were other ones, ones not meant for human transportation. She recognized it as some sort of cargo ship, though its presence at the school was not as shocking as the cargo she realized it was carrying: Grimm.

Xanadu took a step back at the sight of the monsters, immediately reaching behind her back to grab the Wild Shot and some bolts, only to grab nothing but air. She then realized that she had not brought them with her to the stadium, nor had she brought her battle clothing. The girl then took a few more steps back, letting out a sigh of annoyance. This was not how this day was supposed to turn out. But there was only one thing the girl could do now: fight. She withdrew her Scroll and pointed it at the spot in front of her, trying not to pay attention to a couple of Beowolves who had their eyes set on her, and pressed the button. A few moments later, a locker fell from the sky and landed where Xanadu was pointing. She quickly holstered the Scroll, before running to the locker, typing the code, and opening it, to reveal her weapon and the two quivers next to it, filled with more crossbow bolts then one could count. She wasted no time in loading the crossbow with normal bolts and fire bolts, before hastily throwing the quivers around her back.

Now, with the Wild Shot in her hands, the tables had turned. The odds weren't completely in her favor, as she was still fighting in a skirt, but she was confident enough (and she also had leggings on under the skirt, so it was okay). The huntress began to run towards the airships, as did the three Beowolves who seemed intent on eating her. Unluckily for them, they were running in a perfect row, a fact that Xanadu took advantage of by partially turning around and shooting a normal bolt at the head of the first one. The bolt, however, did not stopped. It pierced the head of the first one, before continuing to the second one, before finally hitting the last one, killing all three. When she turned back around, she saw the evacuation airship's doors closing, as well as it leaving the docks. If she stayed behind and waited for another airship to arrive, she'd be wasting time, which was not something she could do. So, with as much faith as she could muster, she ran and sprung off of the edge of the platform, traveling a number of feet through the air, before narrowly flying through the mostly closed door. Her landing, however, was not as graceful as her jump. She fell to the ground, her body limply rolling a short distance, stopping at the feet of a few surprised students.

Xanadu staggered to her feet, paying no mind to the eyes on her, and let the crossbow dangle in one hand while she pulled out her Scroll. She didn't know how to do much on the damned thing, but she knew how to text, call her locker, and call people, specifically her team. She quickly tapped a few buttons on the screen, which caused three pictures to pop onto her phone: a red haired girl with cat ears, a blonde human girl, and fox fauna with pink hair. A ringing tone sounded from the device, followed by a silence, signalling that everyone had answered. Xanadu did not wait for them to greet her, and instead began filling the silence with her own words.

"Where the hell are you guys?! Are you guys alright? Are you all together?" She yelled into the mouthpiece, turning her back to the other passengers in the airship.

"Around the initiation launch pads..." She heard chime from the the Scroll in a voice she recognized. It was her partner, Katrina Rayne, and the person on her team who she liked the most, though Xanadu would never audibly admit that she liked anything, so she expressed it as more of a tolerance. Then came another voice.

"Taking care of a serpent; where would you like to meet as soon as I finish with my present task?" It said. Xanadu quickly figured out that this was Xander, the powerhouse of the group. Xanadu enjoyed Xander's calm and serious nature, as it seemed to be a fairly compatible with her own. She was about to answer her teammate's question, when a more cheerful voice came on.

"What she means is that we are dealing with a serpent. Where should we meet up after this Grimm is dead?" It was Cerise. Cerise was, like Xanadu, a ranged fighter, but that's about where the similarities end. Where Xanadu was cold and grumpy, Cerise was happy and friendly. Where Xanadu had a sort of disdain for all people, Cerise seemed to like everyone. At first, Xanadu didn't particularly like Cerise. Well, to be fair, at first, she didn't really like any of them, but she had disliked Cerise the most. The girl was constantly annoyingly joyful, much too friendly, and, worst of all in Xanadu's opinion, Cerise was constantly flirting with her and the rest of their team. But, with time, like any fungus or mold, the pervert began to grow on her.

There was a menacing silence on the line as Xanadu thought over the question her teammates had asked. Where were they to go in a time of such desperation? After a moment, Xanadu found only one option.

"The city is under attack. Cerise, Xander, get there as soon as possible. Katrina, make your way to the front of the school. I'll try and meet you halfway, and from there we can take an airship into Vale. Cerise and Xander, I'll ask some birds to look for you once Katrina and I are in Vale." She commanded to her team.

"On my way Xana." She heard Kat say, gritting her teeth in annoyance at the nickname, though she said nothing, as she had learned that there was nothing she could do to stop her teammates from shortening her name.

On my way in a few seconds Zan. Xander said, causing Xanadu more irritation. She shrugged it off, however, and ended the call, stuffing the gadget into her pocket. She would prefer not to hear what nickname Carise had for her.

Minutes later, the airship stopped moving, and the doors slid open to reveal chaos. Huntsmen and huntresses fought against Grimm and the White Fang, and the Atlesian Knights that were created to protect the people of Remnant were instead attacking. And in the background stood the centerpiece for all the madness: Beacon Tower. It was a sad sight, but Xanadu didn't have time to wallow. She needed to find her teammate. With that, she stepped out of the aircraft, her crossbow morphing into two smaller ones, each with three normal bolts and two fire bolts, and began running down the path in the direction of the familiar launch pads of the Emerald Forrest, shooting any Grimm that so much as looked at her.
