Yui could see past Ukiko's bravado, but once the spell was done the Phantom magical girl would feel pretty relieved. The younger Yui was somewhat impressed by Ukiko's ability to seemingly wave away any fear, doubt or even pain. It couldn't be healthy, for sure, but she couldn't help but think that it made Ukiko seem tougher.

Yui stepped aside, holding her bellflower-wand tighter as her fellow magical girls attacks went off on the Shade in a grandiose display or fire and magic until the Mantis monster was no more. She couldn't help but feel sad at the life that ended. Yui couldn't know for sure that Shades were alive to begin with, but seeing anything disappear in such a way didn't feel right to her. When she made them dissipate through her "Devotion" ability, she at least had the luxury of imagining they went away peacefully.

But, that small note of sadness came and went as Yui stepped back up to Ukiko and Kana.

"I wish I could help but...I've only started about two weeks ago..." Yui answered to Bura-Bura as they grouped up.
"I'm glad we managed to get it, though. It was bigger than anything I've met so far. That was kind of...scary..." she said trying to laugh at off a bit at the end as she scratched behind her head.

"You two were impressive though! I didn't know things could get this flashy!" she added, all smiles, until "Oh!...You too Bura-Bura! I think it's very nice of you to help Ukiko-senpai with all that. Hana isn't as chatty as you, so I was surprised!"

Then Yui had a short pause before sheepishly adding; "So...Can I stay with you guys... for tonight?"

Maria watched on as the girls in the training area kept going at it. She could not hear what they said, but actions are worth more than words - or so it said. She saw the conjured metal enemy and how the girls took care of it. There was some slip ups, but...

"It is too early to judge." she simply answered to Charlotte's question about the girls' training. "I had hoped I was no one's replacement. I feel like it could make this task that I was given slightly harder if I am seen as the replacement." she calmly said about Lucette. She was sent here to take care of this group of girls and make them work together...despite the fact that Maria herself was a loner when it came to magical girls business. Now, she was being told that on top of all the already apparent struggles there would be, she might be an outsider too. The thought was not reassuring. Charlotte, at least, did not seem to think so herself. Maybe others would too.

“Though, I take it, you’re also here because of the Pageless activity, no?”

She nodded, hands still joined together at her front, looking down to the training area while she spoke; "It would seem like it. It was far from the first time that the Ministry attempted to have me." she turned to Charlotte. "However, this was the first time that they were not asking. I felt and sensed the Pageless restlessness myself, as I am sure you did."

She turned back to the group of girls below. It seemed that the other foreigner, this Valeria, was doing a decent job at teaching the others. Even if it was all - as Charlotte said - a little crude. "No matter." she added to Charlotte.

"I am here of my own accord. I had reasons of my own to accept to come, after all."
Sorry for the delay - and the double post!

BUT! - IC post is up. The rest is up to the group, for now. The story and the world will be very reactive to your actions, and I will try to let it be as open ended as possible.

At the beginning, there was naught. Outside of existence, outside of time - a state of non-existence impossible for any mortal mind to imagine. Then, there was the 'Lights', for a lack of a better word. It could not be seen nor heard nor felt with any sense in existence, impossible to describe.

The light were... A tunnel that lasted for an eternity, yet ended in a breath. Beautiful, yet terrifying. It brought emotions and feelings that were impossible to understand. They are the totality of every things in existence, but also... an inexplicable great void.
And they have created you.

None of you ever "seen" the Pantheon, but you know their names as if they raised you. You do not remember any faces, but know each of them as if they were your parents - in a way, they are. Your creators, your masters. Your benefactors, and also your jailors. They firmly hold you in the grasp of their immortal hands and you belong to them.

You are the very definition of "Loyalty" towards your creators. The source of your powers may vary from one of the gods or the other, but all of you serve the Pantheon of the Divines wholly, and your mission is clear.

You have been sent to Edanica, the mortal world, to stop the realization of a Prophecy. You do not know which one nor what it really is about or what you will have to face. In an ultimate irony, your Masters left you very little to begin your search if but one sentence;
"Find Sol. Walk with the Ancients."

Edanica is coming out of a long and uneasy peace.

For many a years now, the continent was at peace - although not by choice. It had achieved a status quo when the militaristic Nuniel Empire met it's match in the great Desert people of Zuiterra and the noble alliance of the Twin Kingdoms; Latis and Coris. The Nuniel conquests stopped two generations ago, under Emperor Metiros I Alland. His son, Emperor Selilus I Alland, was contempt with keeping this peace while developing the Empire. Despite this apparent desire for peace, the late Emperor did very little to better his nation and soon the words going around was that Selilus was simply an incompetent and lazy Emperor. His son however, now known as Metiros II Alland, was showing great promise. While his father did nothing, Metiros saw to reforming the Empire's Armies and find new ways to break the stalemate. It was under Metiros II that Magi-technologi was discovered and developed. Very little is known as to how exactly it came to be, but rumors are that the Empire found something buried deep beneath the earth that was the source of this new discovery. In the end, whatever was the true source may not be known but it's effect would soon echoes in Edanica.

Selilus I would soon pass away - of natural causes or not was still speculated among the people - and the new Emperor Metiros II was quick to act. With his new army and new weapons, he soon turned the small skirmishes at the borders with with Twin Kingdoms into a full blown war of aggression. The very rich kingdom of Coris and the powerful Knights of Latis were putting up a good fight, but the Empire was slowly making way. At this time, it is unclear what other Kingdoms think of this war and how they will react.

However, while these events were taking place in the mortal world, other events of a more divine nature was taking place. Around the same time that magi-technology came to be, unknown to the mortal races of this world entities of pure energies would descend upon Edanica. Created by the Gods themselves and imbued with their essence, these entities would soon inhabit their own vessels and start on a journey and mission they were given by their creators.

A few months had since passed by, and each and everyone of these "Envoys" would find themselves drawn together by an unknown compelling pull. They could feel one another and felt it was a natural thing to regroup, as if it was instinct. This would eventually lead them to capital city of the merchant kingdom, Coris. Arriving one by one, to anyone else they would seem like regular adventurers and travelers, but unbeknownst to the common folks these Envoys were the walking, breathing confirmation of their faith and of the Gods real will on this world.

Somewhat ironically for a group composed of such exceptional individuals, both before and after the "possessions", they would finally find one another in an unexceptional place; a Tavern under the name of the Red Snapper, by the docks. There they would meet, convene and decide upon which actions were best to take next regarding to their mission.

The Gods were watching, but perhaps they were not the only ones.
Alright. Saturday has come, so I'll make my choice as promised.

It wasn't easy. There was not that many characters, but they all fit pretty well with my original idea - but in the end I had to choose a maximum of 6 characters and so I have decided to go with;

@Rune_Alchemist's Liora Brinil

@TheWendil's Rean Westfall

@Guppy Franz's Arthur Lupin

@Psyker Landshark's Vyandar Urthac

@Click This's Lutatia Eichenwald von Brudel

@Crimson Paladin's Sir Aurelian Asellius

Please, post your characters in the Characters Tab. ^_^

Everyone else that posted a character, good job. I loved reading them and they were all interesting in their own rights!
Everyone else that showed interest but did not or unfortunately could not post their characters, thank you a lot for showing interest in my Roleplay's settings. I am glad it managed to catch a bit of attention.

If, in the future, a spot is freed for any reason I will try my best to ping here and replace the roster.

Thanks all !

Edit

The first IC post will come shortly either today, or Sunday. Feel free to join the discord if not done already. Those that were not chosen can remain in the discord if you were already there, I won't mind !

I communicate better through Discord, but I will post major updates in the OOC as they come!

What Niall saw upon entering the building would put him in quite the dilemma, to say the least. It would be hard to make such a decision in face of any innocents in that predicament, but it was ever more difficult for Niall being faced with a captured Tuatha - the people that raised him and to who he felt he owed the most.

From his relatively still hidden spot, the knight got to thinking. He had no idea how long the strangely clothed Formorian would be gone and the prisoner was awfully well shackled. Even if Niall could possibly use all of his might and magics to break the chains, that would make noise and take time. Time he did not possess. The knocked out guard could wake up at any moment, without mentioning that just anyone could enter this building at any given time, too.

Faced with an impossible decision to make, Niall made an impossible choice. Silently, he dashed through the room close by the Tuatha to inspect his chains while signaling him to be quiet. Niall whispered to the captive; "Tell me all that you know." while visibly examining the chains and shackles to see if they could be easily removed. However, this was not his chose plan. Niall would scout for a spot to hide in the room, and attempt to ambush the Formorian as it came back, thinking she might have a key.

As he did all this, he would also spy on the contraptions on the table and objects around the room to see if he could find something that looked more important than the rest. His train of thoughts was that if things turned badly and he had to make a quick escape, maybe he could slow her work down by stealing something of value while also bringing it back to the Queen and the others, who might have an idea of what is happening here.
@Psyker Landshark Pretty much the same. Your Oath would give you your Divine power. In this particular setting, most probably your powers would be derived from your oath and the god who's essence is in you.
Especially regarding dragons. Since they normally don't like one another too much and want to keep the status quo.

Very well said that Sleeth
@ERode Ok, my bad. No, I meant that there is a lot of different kind. Generally speaking, they are on the rare side. At least, fully Adult Dragons are rare, what they call Ancient Dragons.

An ancient Dragon could mess up a village or a city for sure, but in such a world courts and the like would also have mages and measures in place to counter such obvious threats in a world such as this.

The other planes do exist. Mostly untouched in my world as in DnD, so you still have the Elementals Planes, the Shadowfell and the Feywild. The Hells and Pits of Devils and Demons, etc.
