dem double and triple posts.

By 'housework' I mean 'murderous ghost exorcisms', so... yeah, gl with that, then.
So Yazai, then?
I'm not how entry procedures work there, so I guess you might have to wait on a Med verdict before figuring out how to get in.
Also, there are 3 subgroups right now:
-Dungeon: Miyu and Takeyoshi
-Housekeeping- Rayo, Orion, and Sonia
-Gang-busting- Giovanni

The only one not taken is giant sewer rat extermination, and probably for good reason.
Takeyoshi Sakujima- ダンジョンへ行く

It'd have been a bold-faced lie if Takeyoshi said that he didn't mind Miyu's constant reminders of candy. Every day, four or five times between meals, there would always be another mention of 'candy this, candy that,' no matter if he was learning complex sentence structure or some new words or skimming through the old wartime archives of some long-forgotten battle. Candy, candy, candy...

"Well, we're never going to get any candy in the first place if we don't have any money, so... Y'know... That's kinda important, too. Unless you want to work at a store for candy instead of money, in which case be my guest. We can both live perfectly boring lives in this magical world and all that," he responded snarkily as he tried desperately to ignore the smell of Asian cuisine in the air.
...
God damn, this made him miss home. His mom loved to cook, and those meals were always great. How was his family doing without him, anyways...?

Almost walking into a particularly large person with the head of a bear (actually, it looked to be a bipedal bear, all things considered), Takeyoshi forced himself out of his reminiscing to follow up on Miyu's second comment--the one about his not being very tengu-like. Well, though he couldn't exactly deny the fact that his face wasn't anywhere near as red or his nose as long as the traditional tengu's were...

"And don't go poking fun at my face when you're still waddling about in that oversized overcoat. At least my stuff fits me. Regardless of that fact, I don't have the usual wind-fan-thing that I can't remember the name of right now, so it's not like I could pass myself off as one even if I wanted to."

He did have the geta, though, at the very least; probably the most inconvenient part about his outfit, but... Well, it wasn't impossible to deal with. Being able to stir up winds, though? It'd at least be better than running around and calling orders from the back while trying to dig up treasures.
...
That sounded like some sort of premise for a game, but it was probably too irrelevant at this phase in his life anyhow.

"Oh, and let's not, please. every coin lost because of your carelessness is coming out of your candy paycheck, you know," he finished as the two neared the entrance of the dungeon. The fact that a bunch of buildings were floating in the air like that... In retrospect, the idea was kind of jarring, but it didn't seem too farr off from some of the more fantastical things that his brother had played. Miyu, though... She didn't have a fear of heights, right?

"Okay, uh... Well, might as well check the place out, right? Hope there isn't anything like... What was it called again? Procedural generation or whatever? Yeah, that'd suck. Maps would be worthless, after all."

Lightly coughing to the side, Takeyoshi took a deep breath and calmed himself as much as possible before staring at the dais in front of them--or, rather, the stairs that led up to it. This felt quite ominous, but... It had to be done, right?

Step by step, Takeyoshi climbed to the top of the dais and waited for Miyu to follow suit.
@Lunar: Which city are you referring to here, exactly?
If he wants to move, I can use the time from what he's doing as the filler for the travel time on the other side. Otherwise, I'll just skip a few hrs ahead for everyone and get to the base of the mountain with this trio.
@Leaves: Facebook smileys?
*checks*
Oh. That. Ehh... I'm actually kinda neutral on it, given that I mostly use messenger over the actual fb lol.

But, uh, referring to the elephant in the room (because it's better to address the issue than pretending it doesn't exist, as I've come to learn)... I'm also pretty against Bel's character and that last post is a pretty big offender by itself. The whole 'offensive' thing aside (because that's been addressed by Vita here), that last post raises a lot of flags that, while seemingly innocuous at first glance, made me do a double take because of how trivial it made things seem when they shouldn't be...

So, uh... Yeah. It's less a list of grievances and more of a rant, but this is something I really can't let slide. I have a bad feeling I'll be derided or something of the sort, but it'd feel really wrong to sit by and watch the embers catch onto the house we're trying to build here, so to speak.
Yeah, the stage is open for both you and Vita to post right now. Everyone's basically leaving the place right now... Or, well, should, at least.

Torako should pay first, though -3-
@Eklispe: ComPLETEly irrelevant to your last statement, but, uh...

「空で飛びている」 is literally just "flying in the sky" in Japanese. I use a single line in JP to describe Takeyoshi's current action at the time, but it's more fluff than anything.

It's kinda weird seeing it on every post given the current situation, though, given how I'd assume flying is more energy-consuming than walking.
Just something that's been bugging me for a while. Not trying to be mean, but, uh... Yeah, idk. Just bugs me.
Takeyoshi Sakujima- スクロールを読みながら話している

"I've told you this every day since we've been here: imposing on our hosts like that by asking for luxuries is just asking for trouble! Once we get things that we can sell off at a pawn shop, you'll get your candy and we can pay them back for all they've done!" Takeyoshi responded in turn, his straight-man act feeling oddly fitting for this situation. "But, uh... Yeah. So long as you don't damage anything that we can sell off later or anything that I might be able to get more info from, you're free to go buck-wild."

The scroll in his hands, it seemed, was an epic of sorts; one in a series, which he hadn't yet found the beginning to. Lamenting that fact, Takeyoshi put it to the side to read at a later time before standing up and walking over to the desk up front, where the old woman was sitting by calmly, waiting for any more visitor.

"Excuse us, but my friend and I will be leaving for the moment. We'll surely pay you and your husband back in the future, but for now I'm going to have to trouble you with a request to stay a while longer," Takeyoshi stated, bowing low in front of their patron here.

"Don't worry about it, don't worry about it! Our children have long since left and had children of their own; you two being here reminds us of when they were young, and it brings back a small spark into our lives," she responded, waving her hand as if to show it meant nothing. Takeyoshi, however, didn't feel that to be... Right.

"No, no; I insist that we pay you back in the future. Honestly, thank you for supporting us here."

The old woman began to open her mouth again to respond, but decided that not doing so was for the better and instead gave Takeyoshi a warm smile.

"If you say so. Well, good luck to both of you, then."

"Thank you."

With that exchange of dialogue over, Takeyoshi beckoned for Miyu to follow along as he walked out the door, closing his eyes and trying to remember where the dungeon was supposed to be from a map...

Until he opened them again to see that the buildings (more like giant floating prisms, really) seemed to stretch into the sky a few blocks away, seeming to coalesce into something like a model of a molecule gone terribly long. How could he be so absentminded already? Had his face been stuck in scrolls long enough for him to forget common sense?

"Okay, I'm honestly not expecting much on the first few floors; it's very likely they've been cleaned out quite thoroughly by now. If we want anything good, we need to start scaling that thing and examining things very carefully; maybe if we're lucky, we'll find something once we start hitting floor... Well, a good estimate would be floor 40 or 50, assuming we're able to to make it that far. The good stuff will probably start popping up... Maybe ten or twenty floors more?. Of course, that's assuming we even get there. Maybe I'm overestimating, but at least it's better than going in with the expectation to get good money before floor 10," Takeyoshi said, rattling off his thoughts to Miyu (who he assumed to be at the very least walking alongside or behind him as he went). "You can use your magic as a light source, right? We might be able to use that and save some money, assuming it wouldn't impact your ability to fight that badly."
Alright; I'll just assume that Torako's done sucking soup down and move like that.

My last post will be edited, so please work with that when it goes up.
Okay, done. The newest set of paragraphs should be enough to get us back on the road to action.
