@Lost Cause: I mean... There's literally been, like, zero progress as of now lol. Introduction and picking a place to go isn't that hard, is it?
Astral Plane- The World Where Paths Cross

Satori Komeiji- The Girl Even Vengeful Spirits Fear

Satori stood by silently, watching the mess in front of her unfold before sighing, massaging her forehead with her right hand. These humans... Well, 'eccentric' would probably be a nice way of putting it. From the hyperactive and seemingly-airheaded brown-haired girl to that man cloaked in brown, everyone in here seemed... Well, crazy enough.
The introductions went by, one by one, and the youkai girl sat there, scrutinizing each person that decided to pop in.

The brown-haired girl from earlier, just from her speech alone, was off-putting to Satori. What meaning did such superfluous details have on the situation at hand?
The pair of detectives: a comedy duo, but with a modicum of common sense.
The child with a toy buzzing around his head: simply talking himself up.
And so Satori went, mentally making snide remarks as each person came up to speak their own. And so, when it came to her... Well, she stopped. There was a reason that nobody went near her back home, save for the truly strange and out-of-place. But... It seemed necessary for her here to lay her cards out on the table.

"Ahem... My name is Satori Komeiji. As my name suggests, I am a youkai with the ability to read minds. I'm in your care."

With a slight curtsy towards those watching, the girl turned to the boy with the toy over his head once more. He didn't seem like the type to understand the implications of her statement, so it seemed the task would fall to her to explaining for him (and anyone else who didn't know).

"In other words, you humans would dub me a 'monster,' though I dislike the moniker as much as any other would. I would also like to mention that appearances have no bearing upon age; an old fool is no smarter than a young one, after all."

Lydia- The Recordkeeper

As the introductions and chatter died down, the being known as 'Lydia' re-emerged from the light into which she had disappeared into mere minutes ago. The sound of the gears in the background had stopped altogether, instead replaced by the sound of flowing water.

"My apologies for the wait; opening a gate to these requires some manipulation over what little control I have left over the Record. Please, do make sure to be careful in these worlds; all I know is that some distortions exist, but not of their nature."

Behind the woman, from the walls of the cathedral, appear three doorways, each leading into a spiraling vortex. The leftmost one seemed to be leaking a grey fog, covering the ground nearby with it. From the center, a similar, but more sinister blackish-blue fog seemed to spread out. The rightmost one, however, seemed to be the most ominous: faint screaming and moaning could easily be heard past the gateway.

"Er... I apologize for starting on such a sinister note, but these worlds seemed to be the quickest anomalies to fix in order to regain access to higher functions of the Akashic Record.

Satori, once more.

The youkai watched as the person that had summoned everyone here made her grand reappearance, only to lay out three very thoroughly strange paths for everyone to take.

"Mist... I recall reading about such an incident a while back. I believe I'll deal with the one on the left, if you'll pardon my hastiness."

With that, Satori stepped forward, walking ahead without looking back.
This was not for her sake, but she had Koishi and her pets to think about, so it would be unthinkable for her to not move ahead. For their safety, she was willing to go as far as she had to.

"Maybe... Maybe one day, I can finally get Koishi to come back home. Maybe this wish could help me achieve that..."

Hrm...

I'm half-tempted to move the scene along in the next hour or two.
@Lost Cause @Nerevarine @Grey Star @clanjos

I believe you four are the only ones who haven't posted yet. So, uh... Yeah.
@Grey Star: More people that transform. I'm seeing a trend here lol.
I don't see any problems with the form, so I think you're good to go. Accepted.
@Eviledd1984: Okay, uh... Hrm. Where to begin.
First: This isn't a game, so Frisk's abilities become nigh-worthless. In Undertale, his abilities only work in respect to the other residents of the Underground, but that stuff doesn't transfer well when comparing him to... Well, characters in every other setting.
Also, I'm absolutely not allowing any rewinding of the world. No Ekko ult, man.
And if you take that part away from him, he's essentially just a kid. Nope, not happenin', man.
Second: Prosciutto. The ability is, for lack of a better term, broken as a shattered glass window. Indiscriminately aging everyone in the area's just an ability I refuse to allow, mainly for how it not only tampers with the characters that other people are playing, but also because it's just screwing with people. Gotta deny this here, too. No way I can think of at this moment on how any of that ability would be balanced, so no go.
You see, Jojo villains are done in such a way that the characters can carefully play around them because Araki's great at storytelling, but are OP when taken at face value. As seen here.

Also, I see you've copypasted stuff from right off the wikis. Don't do that. Spoilers are bad for people, man.
Yeah, we are. I'm not closing signups, so.
I'm actually going to cut in and state that it'll be visible to everyone for the sake of the RP. Not being able to see an ally's ability really screws with how well you can fight and coordinate, so.
@eemmtt: Alright, uh... Hrm.
So, what I'm seeing here is a character that effectively casts from HP (to put it into game terms), but has no effective way of recovering said HP.
Um. That's kinda... I dunno, lethal? If they don't have any other offensive capabilities, they're forced to sacrifice their life to fight. Which, y'know, doesn't end well in really extended fights... Which, obviously enough, will pop up here and there.

I mean, tell me if I'm wrong, but I don't know if a character that's going to have a very real chance of dying permanently hovering over them when they fight is a good idea. I'm not the type to PK, but with the way the form's phrased, it might not even by my fault if something goes haywire and our robot friend here goes kaput.
Lookin' forward to it.

Now, while we wait... I should probably detail what's to come, so those here are at least somewhat prepared.

I'm splitting this group into 3 separate ones, mainly in order to not hold groups of people up at any given time. It'll allow some groups to move faster if they're the sort to do that, while letting others move at a more leisurely pace.

With 12 characters 'live' at this point, each group's gonna get four each. I won't say anything about where they're being sent right now or what's going to be ahead of them, though, so you guys might wanna start hashing things out.

Oh, right: if, at any given point someone stops posting and people in that group want to keep going, just let me know here and I'll push the scene along. Believe me, I know how it feels for RPs to die when people just... Poof.
Hrm... Alright, that's fine, then. Accepted.
