"I said the same thing to John last night on the phone but when this one gets an idea or decision into his head, you can't change it for love or money so to speak. So I did it for him anyway" Chas replied to Serena, giving his friend a smirk before going back to looking serious. "The doc is still working at the asylum, or as it now is renamed Seattle hospital of youth mental health. He still has his position as head therapist for ages 6-14 year old, where any accusations of gross misconduct/ child molestation if filed were wiped from any records. So he's getting away with it basically. His name is Dr. Joseph Lavine. Most things that go on in that place are swept under the rug and it's got a history of nurses being fired out of the blue but reasons aren't disclosed. The hospital is like this big open secret that people know its dodgy but no one says anything, or if they do they're either fired or just plain silenced and never heard from again."he began saying, deciding to let Serena and John digest that before continuing.

"when it came to Kay's time there, my contact found it highly difficult to gain access into her records. All they got was that she was emitted at aged 10, and didn't get out until aged 15. She was assigned to this Dr. Levine the entire time. What they did find was that she was subjected to electroshock therapy, diagnosed and treated like someone who had split personality disorder. She had a rough time in there massively. Her adoptive parents tried to get her out several times but after their fourth attempt all correspondence was shut down"he finished saying.
Oh jeez! Kids are surprisingly resilient when it comes to things like illnesses.
Kay took his hand to stand up, getting up onto her feet and listening to John's theory, whilst letting him take her hand and Serena's placing them together. She found herself looking down at their hands then at Serena and then at John. She tried to compute the information being told to her before looking back at Serena again as she agreed with John and continued the theory. "I..guess" she replied slowly in a way that showed she was just digesting the information, and not because of any other reason. She let go of Serena's hand, letting her go to the table where she sat down and ate more crepes before offering them to Chas also, which he gladly obliged her by going over and sitting down. At John's question, he looked up at his mate, "Probably best to chat in private about it, it's a lot to discuss" he told him back.

"what you guys talking about?" Kay asked, having absolutely no idea what Chas knew that John wanted to know. "Nothing for you to worry about Kay, just something personal" Chas replied, deciding that it would be best for John to decide if she should know after he gave him all the information he found out. "...oh right. Well, I might go doodle some more in the main room on the couch, so feel free to talk all you want" she said back, walking off to the main room and grabbing her small sketchbook and well used pencil once more. Once Chas was satisfied that Kay wouldn't hear what he was about to say, he looked at Serena this time. "What I'm about to say you gotta promise to leave it up to John whether he tells Kay. If he decides to keep this from her, then you cannot go against that decision" he told her.
Chas sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, running his hands through his hair in the process when Serena remarked on the dream/memory of his which helped greatly to bring her out of her predicament. Both he and Kay were just glad that it worked and worked well, the colour back in her face making her look a lot more healthy and well. "you're welcome" he replied. "shall we get you a drink of some kind and something to eat to raise your blood sugar levels?" he asked her. When John seemed to have a revelation about the oink between Serena and Kay, Kay couldn't help but look at him with an raised eyebrow, "what's the link?" she asked him. "or more precisely, why is there a link?" she elaborated.

Chas then looked up behind him at John, "that sort of reminds me mate, I got that stuff you wanted me to pick up last night" he told him vaguely, not wanting to be completely open about what John really wanted incase John didn't want Kay to know he was planning on hunting down the doctor from her childhood.
Chas got taken off guard when John just yanked him down to Serena's level, making him squat down. He let John explain what he was gettingat with his actions, and with Serena agreeing to his theory, he nodded and began thinking of his good dream about the day Geraldine came into his and Renee's lives. "That's an easy one, my good dream is always the memory of when Geraldine was born" he replied to her. It was incredibly sentimental but he didn't care. He loved his daughter greatly and he never shyed away from the dream memory when it came up. Kay pulled John away just enough to give Serena and Chas space, so Serena could focus without interruptions by herself or John. "It probably because of us, but we weren't to know. Lets just give them a few inches of space okay?" she suggested.
Chas shook his head, "nah, I slept absolutely fine. No nightmares or anything" he replied to his mate before hearing what else Serena had to say about what was going on with her. "a good dream just isn't something you pluck from thin air willing. So how do you suppose we help her?" Kay had to ask John, it may be down to her not fully understanding the situation but she couldn't see how they could make Serena better by grabbing a good dream. None of them seem tired enough either to try and sleep and try and source a good dream, and she herself couldn't remember the last time she had a good dream. The idea of her nightmare from last night having this impact on Serena made her also feel so guilty in some regard.

No worries! Health always comes first!
Kay listened as Serena explained what was happening, not knowing fully what to do other than rubbing the woman's shoulder and arm in a comforting manner. Yet when Serena's really sunk in to what she said she realised that she was describing her own nightmare from last night which took her greatly by surprise. She was about to call out for John when she heard Chas call out that he had arrived as John seemed to walk into the kitchen anyway. She remained being the support as John tried to see what was happening and how to help Serena, whilst also noticing Chas walking down the stairs and into the kitchen to see a familiar situation to the previous day.

He listened as Serena spoke finding it interesting that Nyx was more than she initially explained. "is there anything I can do to help?" he asked, putting the bag he had down on the worktop.
"sure thing, I'll be right back" Kay replied to him, standing up and headed out the room toward the kitchen, where she saw Serena on the floor holding her head. "hey.. Hey you okay?" she asked, walking over and squatting down. She had no clue what was going on but what she did know was that Serena was in pain for some reason. She couldn't see any sign of Chas being back yet and wondered if he got held up at work or something.

Chas was held up, but not solely because of work. He was nearby in his cab, pulled over to the side of the road as he took a call he had been waiting for. He listened and chatted to the person on the other end, whilst jotting down what he was being told. It wasn't much information but it was heavy enough that he needed to digest it relatively slowly so he could actually write it down correctly and understand it. The last thing he wanted was to give John wrong information because he nis heard or misunderstood something told to him by his contact. "cheers mate, I owe you one." he said on the phone eventually, hanging up and driving to the old mill house to where John resided. It only took him a couple of minutes if that to get back, before turning the engine off, taking his keys and anything else he had gotten. Stepping out of the car, he walked to the front door and inside, "I'm back!" he called down to everyone.
Kay let John do the search, knowing that he'd know what to search for a lot more than she would. She couldn't help but lean slightly closer to the desk and computer, whilst also remaining close to John. With the results coming up she didn't think it'd be such a common scenario to happen. "I'm not sure exactly.. Or at least I can't remember if we were ever told, but I last saw her leaving home. We lived in London so I'd presume she would have been last seen somewhere there" she explained. She couldn't imagine her mother having been seen anywhere else in the world as the last words she faintly remembered being told was that she'd be back soon. Her mother didn't plan on dying or going missing, she planned on coming right home to her husband and daughter. For her mother to not have come home to her family, something had to have gone drastically wrong in Kay's eyes. Her mother would never just up and leave her kid, especially when her kid at the time was just nine years old.

"I'm gonna get another drink, you want one? Something tells me we'll need it as we'll be here a while" she then said to John, placing the notepad and pen down on the desk in front of her.
