This is best done in a playful tone, so probably best to focus on your guild friends or at least someone you know has a good sense of humor. And yes obviously I'm fair game, go nuts, just be creative.

I'll start with @King Tai

And @Slypheed <3

Lastly @Delta44

Ive got more, but I'll chill for now.
Hmm, well, yes, I am interested in seeing why there are so many I mean, your argument is that there aren't many. But I think that despite a lot of screamy attention grabbing 'ill' people on RPG, there are a lot more that are genuinely ill that you do not hear about) on RPG, that have a genuine illness.

To be honest, we dont know how many people are mentally ill or not on this site. And without any hard facts or research, it comes down to subjective passive-diagnoses or anecdotal claims.

Yes some people without mental illness will claim to be mentally ill to be edgy.

On the flipside, some people with mental illness will remain undiagnosed or choose not to reveal their illness online.

But knowing these are possibilities doesnt really tell us anything about overall percantage or ratios either way, its conjecture.
is that it is very largely dependent on the person, and also the manner in which they escape. Some might cope well with roleplay, others might not?

because I'm talking about hypothetical people with mental disorders or illnesses that are genuine.

Well then this pretty much sums up the response doesn't it?

If these people in question are hypothetically mentally ill, but we can only judge them on a case by case basis, then really not much more can be said.

@Dynamo Frokane

Again, not really relevant to the people I wanted to discuss

I DID basically address this when I said that autismm and anxiety are to be taken seriously when real, but there is nothing to expand on if its a hypothetical individual with no agreed upon characterisitics apart from 'Mentally Ill RPer'.

I also was responding to some of the other points that were being made in the thread after your original post, you can complain that I didnt spend enough words responding to you directly, but thats the nature of a freeform discussion on a very nuanced topic, the talking points will vary. I'm not sure what you expected but thats how an open thread works.

@Bishop

This is Advanced, your writing is fine, but I require longer posts from you in future. One or two paragraphs please.
@Dynamo Frokane More or less the same goes to you.

What goes to me? I said like 6 things.
Wooo, aint messing about with this one, time for something a bit heavy.

So one of the most fascinating things to me as someone who works in the dating industry, is that racial discrimination(both positive and negative) is broadly socially unacceptable in all contexts apart from dating. You can hear something like " I dont find <race> people particularly attractive" or "I find myself more drawn to qualities in <race> people". Now I'm not saying its racism and I'm not saying its not racism, but its an aspect of preference that seems to be uncomfortable to explaore so......lets explore it.

I ask you these questions.

Do you date outside your race? If so how often?

How do you view racial prefrences as whole? (in society)

Do you find yourself attracted or not attracted to certain race or races?

Can you describe why you might have these prefrences/dislikes?

Do you think your mind has changed about any of this from the past or is subject to change in the future?

I will answer theese myself, but feel free to go first. Unlike my other threads, this is a fairly serious topic so I although I would usually encourage it, I ask that the snark be kept to a minimum.

I dont even take self diagnosis with a pinch of salt, I just straight up dont listen anymore.

Depression, Autism and Anxiety are real, common and to be taken seriously when accurately diagnosed.

But sadly I do think there is a tendency for some younger RPers and a couple older ones to just slap a label on themselves because they dont nessecarily fit in with their extremely subjetive and narrowly percieved definition of what the 'mainstream' is.

I mean can anyone really give me an exhustive defination of what a 'normie' is? Or how they think and live their lives?

We are all different and we are all creative. But to varying degrees, some of us have more desrie to express our creativity some have more free time.

Also just as final note, Mental illness gets thrown around too much, sometimes you just have personality disorder. The level of cringe when everyone at my college started calling themselves 'Sociopaths' when Sherlock and later Hannibal were popular was unbearable.
