No no, I've seen the meme videos and everything and I still think the game isn't a dumpster fire of a disaster of a travesty because it's not Witcher 3 or whatever it is the popular gaming culture subreddits and boards cream the jeans over while spouting off about cuckoldry.

Andromeda is on par with what BioWare has been putting out since, oh, Dragon Age 2. Except the shooty shooty bits are an improvement. When a new team comes together and deals with leavings and layoffs and the collective pressure of people that put 10/7/5 year old games they put on pedestals breathing down their necks well here we are. That people are being all "7/10 WORST EVER" speaks to why gamers are the worst people with the worst hobby.

Do you think the first one is the best? The action aspect of the gameplay is barely functional but its my favorite out of the trilogy. I wouldn't say its a great game but its definitely an important game to the genre. 3 has the best gameplay but the plot is extremely newcomer unfriendly and some of the story telling is a bit weird.

I dont think for second ME Andromeda is a shit game, I think its an average to enjoyable game that has more problems than it really should. I do think Dragon Age 2 is a piece of shit though but thats a discussion for another time.

And apart from being asleep for 600 years I'm pretty sure shepard was a 20 something with the universe on his/her shoulders, managed to have conversations that didnt seem to be lifted out of an early episode of Stargate SG1

I've so far felt it's been a worthy send up. I expected it to not "FEEEEEEL" like a Mass Effect game because we're outside of the Milky Way and thus outside of the greater established Mass Effect mythos.

I don't know how the consensus of 7/10 measures as "pretty disappointing." 5/10 is an average, mediocre game. by that metric, 7/10 is quite above average.

Yeah I kinda said that.

Its disappointing as a mass effect game as its one of the most celebrated franchises of the last console generation. 7/10 is a step down for the standards they set.

there's only been one great Mass Effect game anyway.

Plus I'd be genuinely interested to see where this was reported and how true it is. I mean unless they've literally put a game crashing glitch on the skin tone slider then I cant see how making a custom white male would be impossible. I'd also be interested to know if the narrative is that Bioware somehow did this on purpose because they hate white males (but not enough to not make the default main character a white male).

But to be clear, yeah I think the game is a bit lame too, and I'm not for a second saying everyone who dislikes the game is right wing or something. It really seem like most of these 'redpilled' critics don't even play mass effect.

Personality: Online or in groups of people with similar interest Zach is actually fairly friendly and even helpful, although his helpfulness can sometimes be seen as condescending. Otherwise he is a complete introvert, hiding away from the world in his house working from home or playing games online.

Interest In Trading Card Games: Zach began playing TCGs at a fairly young age and was encouraged to collect the cards by his parents for their monetary value. For him they were a way to exercise his intelligence against opponents in a 'game'. He won more often then he lost and often offered advice to his opponents afterwords in order to give himself more of a challenge. It wasn't long until he started playing a wide verity of TCGs and competing in tournaments.

Bio: Zachery grew up as the oldest child in a large family. With his mom, dad, both of his grandmothers, his two brothers and his four sisters all living in the same house it got very hectic rather often. Luckily for Zach he was able to either get on one of the computers at home, leave the house to go play a TCG or some video games with one of his few friends, or in the worst case scenario retreat to his room and read a book. As for school he never really put much effort into it. He didn't need to. He aced every test he was handed, did his school work, and passed his classes without trying. The only reason he wasn't a straight A student was because he never did any homework. After graduation he proposed one of his game designs to a company and was hired on the spot.
