Where are all my crazy writers? NaNoWriMo has begun!

I’ll be trying for a fantasy adventure story told in the framework of a gothic western this year. The mood hit me, and I’m not sure if this had anything to do with the small handful of western RP’s I’ve seen since the release of 2016’s The Magnificent Seven or just a subconscious desire to write in a universe I’ve barely developed over the years. As the best frame of reference the setting can be generally compared to anime concepts such as Wild Arms and Grenadier with some aspects of the tabletop known as Deadlands and the film Dead Man from 1995. The plot is still forming in my head, but I’m going to just do it “guerrilla style” this time instead of roughly planning it like I did for my last attempt (a science fiction tale called “Crisis on the U.S.S. Eden”).

I’m just really good at pretending at sounding “super intellectual” I assure you, I’m a bonafide hack. Though I am curious what about our first meetings struck a chord, and you know all the usual questions of “why do you think that about me and what do you like tho”. I’m bored, it’s early, and I’m a fiend for gossip and gratification.

That’s probably because the stick has long been ejected and now I just beat people to death with it— you know, like Garrus from Mass Effect. Jokes aside, I don’t actually know much of my reputation onsite outside of what small tidbits get back to me from associates and acquaintances of mine. I’m glad I gave you a positive impression since it seems people seem to have a wariness about me to the point one of my friends said that “I’m intimidating” though I’m not sure how.

@Shoryu Magami The longer standing members of the site tend to have an over inflated ego. Now, I'm not saying that about all of them, as there are some super cool ones such as Gowi and Lady A, just to name a few, but some of the others just come across as... well, I don't know how to put it really. Perhaps as if they are better than most? Once again, don't get me wrong, I've learned a ton from these guys,
