Tony Stark stood at the top of his penthouse, hands grasping behind his back onto a magazine as he looked out of the windowpane and into the Atlantic Ocean. A melancholic expression persisted on Tony’s face, replacing the normal appearance of a smirk or childish grin as a light, sorrowful breath exited his lips. There was no sound in the penthouse apartment— no music, no busy machinery, no background chatter from a television; it was a pause correlating to the rotten sort of news that he refused to think was even real. Normally his mind would be too busy to stop in a hushed moment like this; too busy with ideas and enthusiastic concepts, ludicrous designs, imaginative plots, and pompous announcements to speculate upon— but today it was not the case. Today Tony’s mind was still, an ailment that was the rarest thing that could befall the black-haired billionaire.

He hated it.

He hated it so much that he couldn’t even will the desire to wash it away with alcohol, cigarettes, or some other indulgence. He didn’t even want to be angry, a fact that made him more uncomfortable and helpless as he thought about it as he looked over the oceanic view. New York sludge hadn’t looked this appealing to him for a long, long time. Not since his parent’s death a decade ago.

His hands held a magazine that recorded his very first candid interview, a piece that took him back to a time before he was Iron Man, even before he was head of Stark International, or even completed his college course for his accreditation. The large bold letters in bright red across the header spelled out ‘SAVANT’ as a youthful visage of his face was photographed under it. It was signed personally by the author of the article in stylistic yet professional penmanship. A name that had been the cause of his rather dour mood— the first girl to call him stupid and dismiss his flirtations, the first girl he boasted he would marry when he was ten, and the girl whose life had just been threatened. Caroline Haines.

A loud ‘clank’ echoed in the room as the Iron Man suit’s faceplate closed, covering Tony’s face as his brows narrowed from underneath the helmet as he slid the magazine on the table next to him.

Going to have to give you a good thank you, Captain.

Had it not been for Captain America’s efforts he knew he might be planning a funeral instead of chasing down that sniper and by proxy, this new resurgent Red Skull. He had already had the discussion of helping the government in stopping neo-nazi efforts thus breaking his sort of ‘Superhero Switzerland’ concept he had been pushing in the past few years, but this was a whole new level of ammunition. If he needed a bigger push, there was no question that harassing his only childhood friend was going to be a big one.

“Computer, I’m going to need any available info on the shooting. You can fill me in on the way there— should only be a short skip and a hop.”

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much information that could’ve been useful. No police reports had been filled due to how absolutely recent it was, and any media speculation was just that— speculation. It was frustrating, but it was what it was and while Tony didn’t like it he knew he couldn’t be bothered all too much about it. So it left him with few options in the very small window of time he had before the would-be sniper was half-way to Canada. Said options were ones that Tony would’ve honestly preferred to leave out of it, as from his perspective it kind of damaged his pride to ask for help, especially from the government. It was probably why whenever he did consider it he decided to do it in the most ridiculously obnoxious way possible he could.

And Fury did tell him to call back when he had more “stupid questions” for him to answer.

With thrusters on and pushing himself now above the streets of New York City’, a wide smile finally formed under Tony’s face.

“Yooo, Fury! You said to call back when I had more of those stupid questions, right?”

Tony nearly chuckled as he heard what sounded like an irritated groan on the other side of the communication channels.

“This isn’t a good time, Stark.”

“Well, it looks like a good time as any considering that those friends of yours just tried to execute one of mine. You know, the ones who like swastikas and jagermeister? Yeah. I’m on approach so any information would be swell. Just point me in the general direction and this Iron Patriot will surely be thankful, promise.”

“Negative. We’ve got agents analyzing the traffic cam footage and cracking what intel we have right now.”

“I’ll drop by. See if I can’t help them crack it faster since you know, they aren’t as smart as I am. Nobody is.”

“…don’t waste my time with this Stark, SHIELD is not a platform to feed your ego.”

“It’s not boasting, colonel. It’s a fact. See you in a flash, but I have to go say hi to an old friend first.”

Albert Malik was born in the eighties and little is known about his childhood or early adulthood.

Malik crossed paths with Sinthea Shmidt— the supposed daughter of the Red Skull. Opposed to the rise of mutants, America’s defiance as the world power, and the ‘downfall’ of ‘true idealism’ he seemed to agree that it was time that HYDRA returned to the world fiercer than before. Sinthea offered him true resources and a path that could make him the leader he wanted to be.

To make him into the new Red Skull.

Geist Serum-based Physiology - A genetically modified serum that has engineered Malik’s body to peak human conditions and perhaps near-superhuman levels. Alongside the strength, speed, and endurance that comes with the physiology it also wields a minute healing factor as well as decelerated aging. The mental effects of the Geist Serum are known and detrimental however as it causes exponential bouts of insanity and mania.

Hand-to-Hand - Malik is an expert in unarmed combat having been talented at a young age before developing skills for polish. He is proficient in boxing, jujitsu, sambo, silat, krav maga, and systema.

Investigation - Malik is extremely aware of his surroundings and in combination with his uncanny reflexes as well as a tactical mind can be a tough opponent for even the most proficient operatives.

Marksmanship - Whether he has a sniper rifle, sub-machine gun, or a handgun Malik can hit a target from long range effortlessly, he has an experience in combat of various lengths and is as deadly with a gun as he is with his fists or with a blade.

Swordplay - Trained in fencing by his betters, Malik is a skilled swordsman although he does prefer knives to long swords or sabres.

◉◉◉◉ EARLY LIFE & CAREER 1993-2013

Susan Storm was born in New York City in 1993 to a wealthy prestigious family line of inventors, savants, and innovators through the fraternal line of the family. Though none had been as successful as Susan’s father, Franklin Storm, in matters of science— a fact that was clear with the acclaim Franklin Storm received as a renowned quantum physicist when he was featured on several magazines including TIME in 1985. A born humanitarian that pushed for equality and scientific progress, Franklin took the foundation his grandfather built with The Baxter Building and looked forward to the future with full belief that a new form of energy was out there that could replace old oil and new nuclear with none of the costly effects of either. Juggling teaching students at Empire State University and working at the Baxter Building, Franklin had little time for his wife and children; that is until the death of Mary Storm in a car accident when Susan was seven years old. Realizing his folly and distraught in his grief, Franklin began taking his role as his children’s sole parent more seriously as reality forced him to re-evaluate his priorities. Taking a leave of absence from the Baxter Building he made it clear that his two children were his entire world.

As Susan grew up she continued to adore and admire her father, continuing to be fascinated by what his idealistic career in science was to the point that she would strive to learn everything she could about it. By the age of nine, Susan’s prodigal intelligence and astute mind that she had inherited from her father came out after one evening when her father noticed an open notebook of Sue’s that detailed modifications to several of his equations as well as completed some of his unfinished written projects within the field. Such modifications were found to be correct without any errors at all. He started taking her with him after her school days to the Baxter Building to see what the limits of her intelligence possessed as he became fascinated by what she could do. Susan’s life thereon shifted uphill and before she or her father knew it she had cut through high school by thirteen and several universities by eighteen with various accolades. A “mirror” of her father, Sue became known for her grasp on quantum physics and soon received a recommendation for employment at The Baxter Building to work alongside her father. It was here that she met an overeager, ambitious, and young Reed Richards who became one of the few people she could relate to that was her own age.

Two years working at the Baxter Building and things financially had started to take a dive despite the innovations the building had promoted since the eighties— her father admitted that despite the great inventions they were responsible for a lot of the focus had been on non-profit administrations and without actual financial backing as well as the loss of several of their financial supporters that the time for the foundation that he had expanded on would be over; he could not keep it afloat on his own bank account alone. With Susan mid-way into a theoretical aerospace engine drive that ran through an unknown energy source she believed that if she had enough time she could convince not only the scientific community but the government about the applications of the new form of energy that could prove profitable in many ways. It was here that her and Reed Richards worked against the clock to finish the project before there would be no “Future Foundation” left. Reed had a prototype for an experimental shuttlecraft, she had a prototype for what she coined as a quantum drive accelerator and the two despite being nervous knew they had little choice as their investors started cracking down on the completion of a project before they threatened to leave like their former peers had done in the past. With no options they enlisted who they could and prepared for the worst. The flight would break records that NASA had set and surely bring more investors in or at least that is what Reed believed.

It would be a flight the world would never forget.

◉◉◉◉ THE FANTASTIC FOUR 2014-2015

The group were struck by a malfunction in the drive when cosmic rays struck them on the trip back from Mars that neither Susan or Reed could detect as they hit a “storm-like anomaly” in space. The spacecraft took massive damage but due to Johnny Storm the four did not simply perish in space—they would crash in the Atlantic Ocean before falling unconscious themselves. The recovery of the four members was a risk for the foundation, but it oddly served as a big event for the national media as the scientists lay in a coma for a few days at a private hospital in Upstate New York. Throughout the next few months they found themselves changing in radical ways as the apparent radiation (or the negative quantum energy itself) had affected them.

Thus the Fantastic members of the Future Foundation were born– Susan Storm’s “year one” involved not much further outside of initial tests and studies that Reed attempted to work against the clock to halt or minimize their radiation-brought mutation. Radiation experts like Dr. Elizabeth Ross were brought in but it was generally to no-avail. However, as they fought to come to grips with their new powers a devastating chemical spill occurs and a scientist in the center of the event mutates into a giant monster and begins to attack local neighborhoods nearby to the Future Foundations base of operations (which the four including Susan had returned to after awakening from their coma). Reed deduces they are likely the only response team capable for immediate resolve and begrudgingly the Four approach and surprisingly contain the threat before it does massive damage. Reed brings a sample of the creature back to his lab for study.

This would be a trend that continued for several years.

◉◉◉◉ LAYING THE FOUNDATION 2016-

Four years since a journalist coined Susan and her friends as The Fantastic Four, things seemed to have sorted out. Reed was equally as brilliant as she was and with his contacts in the scientific community it was here that they had saved the Baxter Building from becoming a distant memory. Her father retired from the project seeking to focus on teaching new minds at Empire State University especially so after seeing what Reed and Susan were bringing to the foundation. Susan still continued to visit her father frequently as she continues to operate as a superhero, scientist, and humanitarian. Under Reed’s suggestion the nonprofit scientific organization was officially coined as “The Future Foundation” as they continue to passionately define a better future for the next generation. She is either unaware or too unable to express the connection she has with Reed; though the feelings on the other side of the fence may be much more dynamic.

Friends & Allies

Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards): Essentially Susan’s best friend, confidant, scientific equal, and at times rival. Known as “Mr. Fantastic” and the founded of the superhero team called the Fantastic Four, Reed has been a constant presence in Susan’s life. Whilst they are not dating a certain tension and attraction exists between the two even though Susan seems oblivious to it.

The Human Torch (Johnny Storm): Susan’s younger, cocksure, and impulsive younger brother that has become known as “The Human Torch”.

Invisibility: Due to the effects of the expedition to Mars, Susan can manipulate her own personal visibility and if pushed the visibility of others by effect the wavelengths of light around them. This makes her have complete invisibility as she is undetectable by all basic appearance to the human eye.

Psionic Energy Manipulation: Also due to the effects of the expedition, Susan can also dynamically create and control psionic energy by sheer willpower alone. Through this concentration she is able to project fields of energy that serve as invisible barriers, shields, and weapons that can be utilized in a variety of complex ways. She can additionally use this energy to levitate her own personal body into the air giving the illusion of flight.

The Terrific Trio – Johnny Storm takes a leave of absence from The Fantastic Four as he begins to want to take more heroic and adventurous chances as he finds the formulaic day-to-day of The Baxter Building’s Future Foundation as dull and alienating. Reed pours his dissatisfaction into his projects as a byproduct whilst Susan begins researching a cure for a new epidemic in Africa.

Return of the Wizard – Despite being the Fantastic Four’s first major villain four years ago, Dr. Bentley Wittman has gone “dark” for several years, but now he plots his revenge on the Fantastic Four after realizing they are at their weakest with the hiatus of Johnny Storm. He sees an opportunity and he targets all of them from the shadows. Can the team reunite briefly and reject The Wizard’s revenge?

“This transmission was transmitted through the internet several hours ago, and I warn you that the following recording is not for the faint of heart. If you have any children watching, I suggest you take them out of the room now.”

The voice of broadcaster Caroline Haines was clear as the red-haired journalist and reporter waved her hand as the picture fluttered from the broadcast to that of a pre-recorded video.

The boldness of the crimson logo burned through the television screen as the news network began to play the feed that had been received only hours before. The symbol was an old and tired one that was one remembered in the memory of the 20th century and it’s history. It was a symbol that had represented the pure darkness that engulfed Germany during the Second World War. It was a symbol that forced the Soviets, French, Brits, Chinese, and Americans to work together during the Cold War. It was a symbol that embodied hatred and fear.

It was the symbol of pure terror. The symbol of HYDRA.

“Your world governments are weak— allowing the presence of inferior beings to walk among you, allowing these aliens and mutants to dirty your lands and ideals. Those who resist are blatantly pathetic as they are seen being routed by children and fools insulting the vitality of the human race. Your president cowers behind his desk as he focuses on a useless plot of sand rather than focus on the true enemy. What will it take for your pitiful leaders to take action?”

The voice was angry, full of bitterness and abhorrence. The hateful mentions of superheroism, the mutant condition, and the national government's diplomacy towards both issues. The accent was distinctly German but it was also distorted by the recording.

“But that is okay, for it is we who return order to the world and be the true purifiers of such blatant weakness and filth.”

“We are HYDRA.”

The figure of a shrouded man walked in front of the ebony and crimson logo and rose his head— revealing a face drenched in blood red with a scowl that ripped through the screen. The appearance of the man had only been seen in films depicting Captain America’s battle against HYDRA in the past… a face of evil incarnate that brought more fear than the logo could ever do. The face of the Red Skull.

“Before you scream for your old protectors of our banner let me tell you this: they are nothing, and they are dead. You will soon realize it for yourselves. Know this though; this is only the beginning.”

The scowl turned into an arrogant smirk.

◉◉◉◉ EARLY LIFE & CAREER 1995-2012

Anthony “Tony” Stark was born in the late 20th century in Manhattan, New York. Destined for greatness, Tony was to follow in the footsteps of the genius that the Stark dynasty had come to be known for. Stark International had evolved over the past century since its formation as Stark Industries in 1851 by Issac Stark Sr, transforming from a simple weapons manufacturer to a enterprise of multiple fields including automobiles, energy, pharmaceuticals, mass retail, and real estate. This dynastic industrial enterprise and legacy was inspiring to a young Tony Stark— a child who was soon discovered as a child prodigy the likes of which seemed fantastical and simply unreal. When Tony Stark found himself at a private school to prepare affluent youths for the future in 2005 he realized even the halls of prestige were boring to him as he soared to the top of the graduating class in a matter of months. However with the intellect that he held Tony was even more immature and pompous then the most precious of America’s elite. When he was socially shunned Tony cared nothing for his peers, believing that they were jealous of his genius and just bottom of the barrel morons and tools who would never amount to anything. As he prepared to graduate from his private school he was interviewed by a young girl from his school.

By the age of fourteen, Tony Stark had been in-and-out of several colleges and universities— seemingly taking what he needed to know before acquiring credentials he felt he barely even needed. He was compared to Professor Reed Richards in a TIME article that featured his prodigal genius in 2006; an article where Tony’s pompousness and ego came out in public view as he excessively gloated about his achievements and ambitions. However this side of Tony made his parents wary of him as he lacked the humility and wisdom of the previous geniuses of the Stark dynasty. Tony could feel the nervousness his mother felt when they shared a room and averted her eyes to focus on his younger sister. Tony distanced himself from his parents with bitterness and he focused in his ambitious research into state of the art mechanical engineering projects.

Tragedy struck a year later when Tony’s parents were killed in a fatal car accident. Edwin Jarvis, Tony’s maternal grandfather, would take the reigns as guardian of the surviving children during this time. Tony however had enough of being treated like a child and despite being only fifteen decided that given his understanding of business and science could easily stand on his own. Before long the young Tony Stark was working at Stark International as the future face of the company as he began to work alongside Obadiah Stane, the acting CEO of the company following the death of Tony’s father. Following his employment, Tony’s brilliance would bring Stark International many contracts as a weapon manufacturer with the young inventor’s development of repulsion technology that armaments such as the Jericho Missile and Centurion Bomb. Nations such as Temasika, Vorozheika, Symkaria, Sokovia, and Madripoor would be financial parties that sought out these military contracts for their own defense or for their own gain. The “morality” of war was a thing Tony was generally unconcerned with— something that would change in the near future.

However, following several terrorist attacks in Eastern Asia and the Middle East things became a clustered mess; something that Stane’s leadership of Stark International would bring great profit for. As the year carried on the real battle for Tony was only just about to begin.

◉◉◉◉ GENESIS 2013-2014

Finding himself on the edge of what Tony believed to be a breakthrough that could fundamentally advance science, the new year found itself beginning to an excellent year for him. Combining his father and grandfather’s scattered research on Arc Reactor technology he found himself nearing the conclusion to over seventy years of research. But before he could work any further on the project he found himself visited by Stane who asked Tony to head to Sharzhad where he was needed to showcase the Jericho MK2 missiles. Realizing the importance of business Tony took flight to the country that was facing a difficult precedent with Syria at the time. This would be the trip that would change Tony’s (and the world’s) life forever and bring upon the genesis of who he was to become. Following the demonstration to an investor, the testing grounds are attacked by a terrorist cabal called The Ten Rings. During the attack Tony finds himself injured and when he wakes discovers the fact that he has been captured by the aforementioned terrorists. Half-dead and suffering from the effects of the injury he finds himself using trickery and his own genius he develops a powered suit with only scrap metal and a prototype power source. Using the suit to escape he finds his eyes open as he realizes how his own weapons are being used and what the consequences are for such. He finds himself an oddly changed man as he passes out several miles out from the compound before he is rescued by a SHIELD convoy who take him back to the United States.

Weeks after his initial recovery at a SHIELD-sponsored hospital Tony finds himself bemused with questions that have no answers as he resolves to remove the excess of these weapons from play. Taking charge of his company he finds himself causing friction between himself and Stane; friction that Stane sees as an immediate threat to his interests. As more answers begin to unravel, Tony’s re-creates and develops a new power suit based on updated blueprints of his prototype that he used during his initial escape before returning home. The suit would be a key piece to setting things “right”. Iron Man debuts in the following weeks as it hunts down caches of Stark International weapons that have been seized by The Ten Rings as well as defusing conflicts the terrorist cabal becomes active in. Tony Stark becomes “Iron Man”.

However things come to a clash in the skies when Stane attempts to kill Tony before he does any more ‘damage’, believing the inventive prodigy had outlived his usefulness. Stane dons the “Iron Monger” armor, an inferior replica of Tony’s original prototype. Stane’s inferior handling, outdated energy source, and lack of modifications leads to his defeat and in the end is injured before being arrested by SHIELD operatives. Questions begin to rise about Iron Man in the aftermath and under the influence of alcohol Tony answers the question matter-of-factly: Tony Stark is Iron Man.

◉◉◉◉ WHIPLASH & AVENGERS 2015

With Stane gone, Tony found himself dealing with his company in full. As CEO he immediately shut down a good deal of the company’s weapons manufacturing assets as he reminded himself of what he had seen at the hands of The Ten Rings. It was a bold move for the company and many people questioned his reasons due to his previous attitudes in interviews about weapon development and doubts of his character. But Tony didn’t care for his perception and due to the physical pain he still felt as a consequence of The Ten Rings incident he indulged haphazardly into alcohol and other vices; sometimes making a public spectacle out of the parties he would organize.

As Iron Man, Tony found himself working closely with SHIELD liaison James Rhodes as part of an arrangement to “accept” his activities as a super-powered vigilante. Tony finds the “military babysitter” entertaining and begins to find ways to annoy Rhodes whilst he does his job overseeing Iron Man. However it becomes evident of the dangers looming in the aftermath of Stane’s defeat when Anton Vanko, a Russian engineer and assassin is hired by Artemus Pithins to assault Tony Stark at one of his ‘infamous’ parties in an attempt to kill Tony Stark so Pithins, the next in the pecking order on Tony’s board of directors could take charge of the company much like Stane had in the previous years. Surviving the first incident with Vanko (aka Whiplash) Tony tries to modify his suit before the assassin returns to finish the job. At the same time, Virginia “Pepper” Potts, a consultant and ‘problem solver’ Tony hired to fix the financial problems left by Stane & Tony’s actions detects shifty maneuvers by Artemus Pithins and discovers his plot as well as a revelation that Pithins has outsourced weapons to foreign buyers despite Tony’s policy changes. Between Pepper, Tony, Rhodes, and a Stark International computer technician & programmer named Rumiko Fujikawa, Pithins’s plot is revealed and dismantled. Whiplash is defeated and incarcerated whilst Pithins flees the country before SHIELD apprehends him.

A few months after dealing with Whiplash, Tony was led to suit up in his first "team" experience as the heroes of Earth contended with Galactus; Iron Man declined an invitation to an official Avengers group following, feeling that with SHIELD's grubby hands over it that it would not be a sensible choice.

Antoinette Stark – Tony’s teenage sister that has an estranged relationship with. Currently enrolled at a preparatory academy in California, Antoinette in Tony’s eyes is a painful reminder of his parents as well as the universe’s failed attempt at making him take up responsibility.

Edwin Jarvis – Tony's grandfather on his mother's side.

Harold Hogan – A former soldier assigned to Tony Stark as his personal bodyguard after the September 11th terrorist attacks that shook New York. In the beginning Tony saw Hogan as a drone and insistently teased him like he had done to others but eventually grew as friends. Even after becoming Iron Man Tony still considers Hogan as his confidant and perhaps one of his closest friends.

James Rhodes – A member of SHIELD’s air response team, and the SHIELD liaison to Tony Stark or more accurately Iron Man in a move to keep watch on Tony’s activities. In an odd way, his cooperation with Tony Stark has lent him an understanding for the unhinged “man-child” being not so much what Tony appears to be. After the Whiplash incident he has been an ally to Iron Man as War Machine.

Rumiko Fujikawa – A genius computer programmer and technician. Responsible for aiding Tony with the development of the JARVIS AI.

Virginia “Pepper” Potts – A young woman with a knack for marketing, finance, and general business management. Pepper Potts has become one of the youngest consultants on those willing to keep their business afloat and find out what members in their business are not doing their jobs. Initially hired by Tony Stark because she “caught his eye”, Pepper has stayed with Stark Industries even past her routing of Justin Hammer’s operations. Her reasons for staying with Stark Industries past her initial “mission” is unknown.

Armor Wars: Following his grandfather's funeral, things spiral out of control for Tony Stark when Ezekial Stane, the son of Tony’s first real enemy as Iron Man surfaces in Vlatava as he starts his own company— Stane Industries. This would’ve been seen as problematic if not for the fact that Stane had evidently stolen Stark International technology as a focal point of the company before hiring ex-Soviet scientists to strengthen the products. Product that included the Iron Monger armor. Stane desires revenge.

Iron Patriot: In the worst timing ever, a new revival of the terrorist faction known as HYDRA attacks military and public targets in the United States. The “re-emergent” leader threatens the populace with a video leaked on youtube and attempts to begin a new era of terror. Tony gets in contact with the obscure federal agency known as SHIELD as he offers to put his chips down and help despite his misgivings about big government.

Kohaku Miyuki: Madarame’s Jonin-Sensei, and during her lifetime one of the principal medical-nin of Konohagakure. She perished in one of the last battles of the war, trying to protect her former students from an unseen threat that proved too powerful for them to handle. Madarame had a positive relationship with Miyuki as a sensei and as a friend— a fact that Narumi often joked relentlessly that he had a moronic crush on their mentor so much that he wanted to emulate her skills just to get noticed. Her death made Madarame rethink what it is to be a medical-nin and to do what he could to protect his village.

Uchiha Narumi: Recently was assassinated while traveling the countryside in the Land of Fire with her son, Tensai. Narumi was a childhood friend of Madarame’s and preceding her murder was the only other surviving member of their genin team following the war. Madarame is still reflecting on her death and who could’ve done such a thing and why.

Kurama Tomokazu: Killed twelve years ago during the tail end of the last war. Tomokazu was ideally Madarame’s closest friend and the blow was dealt relatively hard for both Narumi and Madarame when they found themselves not only without their sensei but without their comrade. It was a loss that Madarame personally blamed himself for and vowed to never be so impulsive in the heat of a battle where there were two other lives in conjunction of his own.

Kagetsu Kitanai: Childhood friend and long-time rival in the field of medical ninjutsu. Kitanai and Madarame have always had a positive relationship due to the fact Kitanai was fostered by his clan following the disaster that struck Kitanai’s village that left him effectively orphaned. Madarame sees him as his more ambitious and worldly brother. His disappearance has never bothered Madarame particularly, though he does wonder if the absence has been good for him.

Chakra Control: Even in his youth, Madarame was particularly adept at using his chakra wisely and with specific precision; a fact that his family had encouraged him to direct towards a specialization in medical ninjutsu— a suggestion he distinctly ignored. Despite not having great chakra depths or affinities, Madrarame is a dangerous opponent to fight due to the fact he knows how to utilize his chakra intelligently and accuracy.

Wood Release: For Senju who inherited water or earth chakra natures, they can ultimately utilize a unique elemental release known as Wood Release. Known as a unique elemental release that can suppress chakra among other marque features, Wood Release is an elemental release that Madarame has utilized effectively throughout the years on and off the battlefield. Madarame prefers to take a defensive approach with these techniques.

FOCUS & SKILLS

Kenjutsu: Madarame is the premier swordsman in Konohagakure, excelling beyond the preceding generation’s notable kenjutsu specialists. It is said that Madarame is the equal of any samurai, though such acclaim has never been tested on the field of battle. However, Madarame will state that his skill in swordsmanship is simply a product of the era he grew up in and had he not lived through the Shinobi Great War he would not have had the experience required to polish his skills. As a kenjutsu specialist, whilst he recognizes his own skill in the various forms he also happens to believe contemporaries such as Hozuki Chigetsu of Kirigakure could easily best him in a battle relying solely on swordsmanship. How much of this is humility and how much is fact is hard to say.

Ninjutsu: As a member of the Senju Clan, it is no surprise that Madarame has inherited many skills beyond his own individual talent with swordsmanship. In Ninjutsu, Madarame has utilized his clan’s marque affinity in that of Wood Release and various other ninjutsu techniques— in conjunction with his sword or without it Madarame can utilize a variety of techniques in a defensive or offensive fashion.

EQUIPMENT & INVENTORY

Madarame lives by a policy that a shinobi’s tools are his crux and his closest ally to prevent his comrades from harm. Whilst hardly an item expert he keeps his gear steadily equipped with shuriken, kunai, and other supplies such as the typically assigned wakizashi and his weapon of choice— a uchigatana.
