@rush99999 Thinking over the checks...I think I am going to need one more charisma check. You've passed the Performance check, but I am going to need a Deception check as well.
Kilona gave the guard a skeptical glance to the guard when he commented on the crates on how everything in the crates have been accounted for. She simply answers dryly him with a quirked eyebrow, "Really..." She was curious if the guard truly did not see the lids...or if there was more to this guard than just his complaints.
I thought I should roll for Insight into him, but Kilona only got an 8. ^^" That's probably a No.
She then indicates behind the crates, and with his help, they were able to see the hole behind the crates. She comments, "Well, what do we have here...?" It looked like a tight fit for most people: But it might not be the case for fae, goblins, or even gnomes and halflings...
She then looks to the guard and she asks him, "Was this here before the crates were moved into this room?"
It looks like ctrlsaltdel is AFK for the weekend, so I think I'll have to wait for them to come back before I address an IC post or the prompt questions. ^^"
All Brutrumukk and Jub hear is eerie laughter echoing around them. The sound of the laughter bounces off the walls and bookshelves around them, causing them to sound more and more distorted. Brutrumukk can tell that they are further inside. It seems like going straight ahead is the best option, for now at the very least.
The stairs creak loudly as Aurora leads the way upstairs. Zavakri follows after she speaks to Rearden, "You should come with. Just in case we encounter anything..." Her irises still appear as golden clock faces as she speaks and moves.
Upon reaching the top of the stairs, the party is able to take in the sight of the room.
A ball of light bobs above the rafters, casting shadows over this room, in which the owner's messy habits are on full display. Rumpled and moldering rugs share floor space with food scraps, stacks of dirty dishes, and tipped-over clay pots whose plants have long since died.
A bed that occupies one corner of the room has a pile of straw in place of a mattress. In the opposite corner stands a squat chest of drawers with a watering can resting atop it. The only other furnishing of note is a stocky wooden chest with a sturdy iron padlock. It sits in another corner between two closed doors.
The ball of light drifts down towards the party, but it doesn't do much else.
Aurora, you notice a faint glow of white light begin to shine from one of your pockets. Should you pull it out, you realize it's the Iron Key you received from Telemy Hill. Your attention is pulled to the East Door in this room, where the lock is giving the same glow as the key.
Instinctually, you realize that this key was meant to open that door!
Sshizna...you have been in this room for so long now, you practically know this room like it's the back of your hand!
This musty room looks like a miser's attic. Lying in tall heaps are discarded blankets, quilts, cushions, and clothing of all shapes and sizes, not to mention musical instruments, toys, dolls, jewelry boxes, flower vases, child-sized caskets, and broken furniture.
Among the heaps of junk are a few oddities, including a stag's skull hanging on one wall, a white porcelain jar with chicken legs standing on a table, a fancy helmet placed on the faceless head of a wooden mannequin, and a five-foot-long bronze statue of a giant frog squatting in a corner, its mouth agape and filled with impenetrable darkness.
Most days have been boring and uneventful. But today was the noisiest and busiest day you noticed thus far! New voices talking loudly below...and a show taken place in front of your eyes. The evidence of that show lies on the ground: A dead lornling in the middle of the room.
Now...you hear footsteps climbing up: Four sets of footsteps! It's definitely not Bavlorna...
Could it be...?
...Freedom is so close, you can practically taste it in the air!
I just noticed something. Morgran is speaking as if there is only one heckler even though different voices rose from the crowd. Was he able to deduce that there was only one heckler using many voices then?
No, that's a writing mistake on my part. ^^" I'll have to correct that.
Morgran looks just as irritated as Miss Light felt. When she made her request to him, he answered her, "Hell yeah. That was a beautiful performance, and for that to be interrupted...Ah know ah'm not going to be able to hear that again for a long time after tonight..."
He then looks to her and he asks, "What kinda cue will ya be givin' me fer drawin' out those hecklers?"
We are into the second hour and the Mood has gone down by 1.
Palasha's engagement to Candlefoot has prevented the counter from being a -2 to the Mood.
Btw nat 20 on the perception check well 22 to be precise.
Nice! XD
So you definitely saw what happened to Rearden when she sniffed the Shrink Potion. With the Nat 20, I will also say that Gabriel feels that nagging feeling is trying to tell him that his lost item is upstairs. ^_^
