Hey now, I have a big iron on my hip and far to much Willingness to pistol whip anything with wings

Bold of you to assume that all of your foes will have wings. XD

(...And I did admit earlier that all of the Mascots in this setting have horns. )
Pepper Celestina Brevil

Pepper's eyes widened at the sound of buzzing, and she turned to the source to see the largest carrion flies she's ever seen! She started panicking as she repeated, "Nonononono-!" She lets out a scream as they swarm around her and she reacts by moving and waving around her wand uselessly. Thankfully, her frantic movements did keep the flies from biting her. She could feel tears start to well again as the familiar sense of being overwhelmed appears again. She felt like curling up into a ball again...

"Pepper!"

His voice breaks through the chaos in her mind, crystal clear like a bell! Her eyes open wide once again as she tries to communicate in return, "Capriccio?! Is that you?!"

"Yes, hello, it's me! I know, not quite the happy reunion I would've imagined either, but, well,"

As he mentally cleared his throat and gathered his thoughts, Pepper couldn't help but wonder if he really was here, or if she was imagining this. But, regardless, it's clear that he's not done: The line of telepathy is still open!

"My promise from back then still stands; you're not alone. Help is on the way."

Her eyes widen again, but this time, the fear is gone and replaced with hope. She could even feel her heart flutter as the encouragement reaches her. She thinks back to Capriccio, "Right! Thank you, Capriccio!"

She then realizes that she is dealing with carrion flies, and the line of telepathy may have ended with, "Oh! I have an idea!"

She then takes in a deep breath through her nose and focuses her attention on the flies and the magic she learned. There is a spell that can help with this: A spell that would not only push the flies away from her, but she could also use it to keep them off of her. They're attracted to the smell of rot, so why not let them help by consuming the Auroch and the parasitic plant?

She raises her wand and the wind kicks up, alighting in pale pink and green ribbons of light. As she waves the wand, the affected winds pick up as many of the engorged flies as possible, entrapping them in the whirlwind. She speaks the incantation, and after speaking the incantation, she tells the flies,

"The buffet's over there, you hedonistic, gluttonous flies!" She then gives a final wave of her featureless wooden wand, and the wind flings the flies at the Auroch, and far from her! Hopefully, with any luck, the flies will simply chow on the Auroch.

D'AAAAWWWW!!!! X3 So cute!!!

(Now to hope that Rambley isn't/doesn't turn evil...)

Anyways, quick update guys: All of the prologues are now complete, so I will get a DM Post up this week/weekend.

In the meantime, I will wait a bit to give @Redking0380 a chance to post. So, you are all free to continue chatting amongst yourselves IC. ^_^
@Guardian Angel Haruki Does the 18 succeed?

Yes, an 18 succeeds. Sorry for the delayed response. I am now able to post. ^^"

Voth has been in Prismeer for long enough to have heard about the Hourglass Coven and how they usurped rule from Zybilna, the original Archfey Ruler of this plane. Voth can reasonably guess that one of the Hags put the bounty out for this "Will of the Feywild"

However, considering he just arrived into Thither with the party, he has no idea who Will of the Feywild is.
@Guardian Angel Haruki, do you want me to post for Cassidy. So we don't lose momentum?

Yeah, it’s okay to post a character interaction post as rush stated. ^_^

@Guardian Angel Haruki It's unlikely, but what would I roll to see if Voth knows anything about a 'Will of the Feywild' who has enough beef with someone to warrant a bounty?

Go ahead and roll a History check.

That's a very uncharitable reading of my statement. Mayhaps you should look to your own concerns, first. GAH already discussed it with me, right here for all to see. No hurt feelings, and no bad blood. She's a big girl who can address those kinds of concerns on her own. I was just poking a bit of fun at the situation.

I've RPed with GAH before, and have no issues bringing up matters I genuinely have a grievance with. No need to make mountains out of mole hills.

I think what happened was that something got lost in translation when the Insight post was written. I did get the Passive Aggressive tone from your previous post about the Insight as well.

Now, we're not laying any blame on anyone here. I know I've written my own fair share of posts in the past where they had a worse tone than I actually intended. It's just something to watch out for and beware of when writing in the future.
Posted! Going to start next post with him hearing Pepper's shout, ha.

He's also going to hear her scream when the flies swarm her.
Bet ya'll didn't expect a new post today! Anyway, I got to spend my first fear token of the campaign and used it to summon the most terrifying of creatures: a swarm of flies.

...

Listen, I'm doing my best.

To be fair...

Flies the size of a fist that can bite are a terrifying concept.

I have a question regarding the Alternative Weird Basic Moves in the Consolidated Reference Sheet. It says 'Hunters who do not have Use Magic as their Weirdness move', which Cassidy technically doesn't I believe, 'must treat any spell as Big Magic'. But are we considering these Alternative Weird Basic Moves as 'spells'? Or can we just use these Alternative Weird Basic Moves as any other basic move?

From my understanding, Cassidy does have magic (judging from her Spooky Moves), but hers like the D&D's Warlock where the magic comes at a price. O'Malley has magic as well, due to being the Monstrous.

The members among the crew who do not have magic (to my understanding) are Loch (The Flake) and William (The Wronged). ^^"

Looking over the Alternate Weird Moves, I would say that they're not spells. Other than Telekinesis, they are moments of pushing the body/mind to the limits or encountering weird coincidences. Asking the Secret Masters is a desperate plea for help. So, I would say that they would be treated as normal moves.
