Actually, something's just occurred to me...

@Guardian Angel Haruki May Jub use this time while all this is going on to summon his Familiar? He misses Eighteyes.

Plus I've been planning on bringing her back as a bat so she can be used for aerial surveillance. Might be useful now we're in a new area.

If the owlbear goes off on her own, there’s a chance you can encounter her again. If she goes with you, it’ll be one less random encounter off of the table.

If Aurora frees Juniper and lets her decide, I’ll roll to see what Juniper decides to do.

@Guardian Angel Haruki Fair enough; Though, for the sake of posterity, my intent was not to split the party.

My intent was to get the multi-ton animal to play fetch, then laugh maniacally at the results of a small-sized creature being inside the chariot attached to said animal.

1) Yes, because it would have been a surprise attack that would have started combat. Thankfully, it hasn't come to that.

2) Considering that we're talking about Necrotic Damage, the damage type, the items would react similarly if they were hit by other damage types. Fire Damage would burn the items, Cold damage would freeze the items, slashing damage would cut them, etc.

So, I would say that the Necrotic damage would shrivel, decay, and have similar effects on such items.

Owlbear and Chariot

Brutrumukk quickly finds that the owlbear does not respond to the reins at all. She seems to disregard him completely in favor of Aurora this time. The owlbear does eat the jerky, and leans in more into Aurora's hand as she pets her head.

As Brutrumukk tries to get the owlbear to move, Juniper instead lies down comfortably, and seems to move her head to guide Aurora's hand to a spot her neck. Should Aurora scratch that spot, Juniper's front leg moves in circles and her eyes close in satisfaction, not too unlike how a dog would react to when an itchy spot was being scritched gently.

It seems like Juniper is not in the mood to leave.

@Guardian Angel Haruki would it be animal handling for Aurora to order Juniper to stop? She would be issuing the command in Elvish if that makes any difference.

Side note I am curious as to how the owlbear is responding to everything while getting head pats and food.
