Eleanor looks towards Annie upon hearing her greet her. She returns the small kind smile back to Annie as she introduced herself and stuck out her hand. Eleanor accepts the hand and gives a hand shake in return, as she returns the introduction, "It's nice to meet you, Annie. My name is Eleanor. I am of the Druid Circle of Shepherds,"
She looks to Mortimer and she informs Annie, "It appears that Mortimer has something to say to us. Let's wait for the boys to arrive before we approach him, shall we? That way he can address all of us at once,"
After Annie gives her answer, an apologetic look comes across Eleanor's face, and she finally tells Annie, "Annie, you seem like a genuinely kind person. I truly am sorry that you got caught up in this..."
She had to stop herself before finishing the sentence with 'sick and twisted game', considering that Mortimer is nearby.
On a serious note; Does Voth get any hits off the detect evil and good? He'll keep concentration for the full 10 minutes, so if any new fey gets close he'll have some advanced notice.
Nope. Nibs is a human. ^_^
Also, Voth doesn't get any hits off of Detect Evil and Good for the whole ten minutes.
Feathreen looks back towards Miss Light for a moment as she seems to contemplate over the questions as well as take in Miss Light's appearance. She answers, "I am not sure how he would react to someone who looks like him and takes his name. I suppose he'd be flattered,"
She looks back ahead and she continues, "Mister Light is a jolly soul compared to his partner, Mister Witch. Very creative and very bright! Both in demeanor and in intelligence. Mister Light and Mister Witch are like family to everyone here at the Carnival. I am certain you will get to see him perform during the Big Top Extravaganza during the Fourth Hour,"
Feathreen nods accepting the answer, and she answers in turn, "Time is relative to experience. I see what you're saying. Time passes by faster when you're having fun, while it drags when you're bored. That is certainly true!"
She then chuckles and she comments, "So you are enjoying our conversation as much as I am. That is wonderful to hear!"
It's clear that Miss Light has impressed and brought joy to Feathreen. Now, Miss Light can ask questions about the Carnival if she wants to.
Kilona listens to Delgren as she scans the area and she kneels down to inspect the ground. She squints at the dust and she looks down towards the right tunnel. She answers Delgren immediately after he made his request, "There are footprints of various sizes in this dust. The rocks here are likely from the tunnel's creation. Whoever left the footprints behind have been consistently using the right tunnel. I can't reliably say if that's the exit or not,"
She looks to Delgren to see what he wanted to do with that information.
The elderly man jumps in his seat, seemingly startled by Aurora's voice. He looks towards her despite the blindfold. He answers her, slightly relaxing but not quite off edge, "It's...It's so I may find atonement, Madame. Or at least...for the hope of it,"
He bows his head in shame towards her and he explains further,
"I've led a cruel and heartless existence. I earned these riches by exploiting my tenants' misery, buying up condemned property and renting it out for an exorbitant fee. But...I realized the extent of my misdeeds when I realized that my actions have caused deaths of innocent lives..."
He gestures to all of the gold coins surrounding him and the others in this cave, before he continues,
"Granny Nightshade is helping me to make amends. I told her I wanted to put my bad deeds behind me and my ill-gotten gains to good use. She cursed me to dwell forever in this cave, spinning my gold into useful items for anyone who comes my way," His trembling voice almost gives way to tears, but he gasps in fear when he realizes something.
"Oh! Please pardon me, Madam! I didn't mean to be rude and disregard the Rule of Hospitality! Please, hold on a moment..."
He quickly whips out a pair of knitting needles, and he takes the fibers of thread he just transformed, and proceeds to quickly knit away! The threads quickly form into a pair of fine boots of elven make! Once they were done, the gold almost transforms into leather, with only a sheen left. They are perfectly sized and fitted for Aurora herself. He then picks up the boots and hands them over to Aurora.
"Please, accept these as a token of my hospitality. I insist!"
For reference, I rolled a 3 to determine the gift for Aurora.
The moment after William brings his axe down on a television screen and breaks it, Jack's voice can be heard over the loudspeaker echoing around them...
"Please do not destroy Wonderland property. This is your first offense, so a warning has been issued and the replacement fee will be added onto your admissions fee. The third infraction will have you kicked out of the park,"
The loudspeakers fall silent to let the group talk amongst themselves before they enter the Gift Shop. Upon entering, the group sees merchandise still resting on the shelves and hangers. Stuffed animals, mugs, shirts, pens, and all sorts of goods are in this store! Whatever happened in this park, it's clear that looting did not take place.
There is a separate shelf off to the side holding small books for autographs. Above them is a poster that reads "Can you find us? Get all twelve of our autographs and you get a prize!"
Underneath that header are pictures of twelve cutesy mascots and their names. The primary mascot is Jack the Jackalope, but there are eleven more mascots to deal with in this place...
Ulyssa the Unicorn Beatrice the Bicorn Nicholas the Narwhal Gertrude the Giraffe Gavin the Goat Chase the (Jackson's) Chameleon Yvonne the Yak Owlicious the Great Horned Owl Rupert the Rhinoceros Rhonda the Reindeer Tommy the Horned Toad
At the front counter, another TV screen lights up again and Jack speaks to the group, while a series of machines whirl quietly, "Here you go! Here's your Passport to our Wonderland! You can use this as a key to explore more of the park, and if you keep it next to your heart, it can serve as a life-saving tool in case of emergencies! UseragreementandwaiverisincludedinyourAdmissionscontract,"
The TV Screen shuts off again, and all that's left is a microchipped booklet labeled "Wilderness Wonderland". It certainly looks like a passport in its own right!
